Quality of sound

Hi everybody

i’m new to sonos community as 2 months ago i bought a couple of new Fives, used a stereo pair. a couple of days ago I noticed that some mp3s quality (files downloaded with the code that comes with a vinyl) is incredibily better (to my ear at least) than the music coming from Tidal of Qobuz (in hifi mode).

 

is that something that happens to me only?

I can’t help as I don’t use either of the services you mention, quite a few others have looked at this without posting anything and they may be in the same situation.
