What to get

I’d like to connect a turntable and maybe a CD player to the Arc Ultra and Sub 4 via Bluetooth or WiFi. I don’t have an amp and would prefer not to buy one due to $$$. I’m a newbie so please be patient. Looking for recommendations. I dont want to use a line in as the Arc is above by TV and no room for  turntable. Please don’t use too many acronym in reply.

Hi friends, can someone advise me if it is worth buying the sub gen3 or gen4? I don't know if there is a difference between the two. I only have an era 300.

Sonos makes a great product and is the leader in the wireless speaker whole home entertainment market. However, the Sonos website doesn’t make it easy for current users and/or potential buyers to determine (locate) which sub to use with a particular Sonos speaker, stereo pair or the Sonos Amp. The information does exist but requires a bit of searching to locate. Currently, the best answer is found obscurely under the Sub 4 page.https://www.sonos.com/en-us/shop/sub-4-black  While either the full size Sub or Sub Mini will work in many different scenarios. The Sub Mini does have a few specific use cases wherein the full size Sub may be overkill depending upon room size and Sonos or 3rd party speakers employed. One specific use case for the Sub Mini is with the Amp powering Small Book Shelf speakers. Hi everyone,I’ve recently set up a Sonos system in my living room, which is quite large, and I’m trying to get the best sound quality possible. I have a Sonos One as the primary speaker, but I’m wondering if adding additional speakers or making some adjustments could improve the overall experience.Here’s my setup so far:Sonos One (main speaker) No subwoofer yet I use the system mostly for music, streaming services like Spotify, and occasional movies.I’ve tried adjusting the sound settings in the app, but I feel like I’m still not getting the full potential, especially when I crank up the volume. The sound can sometimes feel a little muddled, and the bass doesn’t seem to be as impactful as I’d expect, especially for a system that's supposed to fill a larger space.I’m wondering if I should invest in a Sonos Sub to help with the bass, or if there are specific settings within the Sonos app or any other tweaks I might be overlooking. Also, would adding another Sonos One as a surround speake

Anyone from Sonos or in Japan that has heard about availability of Arc Ultra/Sub 4 here.  It was written end of November, but I haven’t been able to find anything in the usual retailers showing a pre-order or stock.  

I have a simple system with my music on an external drive, S1 on my PC, Sonos Bridge 100, and Sonos Player connected to my integrated amp. If I were starting out right now with the same external drive, PC, and integrated amp,  but without the Bridge and without the Player, what current Sonos products would I need?

Hi! I was wondering if anyone can help out build the best setup for the space as atacched, it is cca. 50m2 in total… TV is hidden in the movable cabinet near the fireplace. It is a newbuild so we can play with best positions etc.I was thinking 1 sonos Five near dining table, 1 woofer next to sofa and probably 1 more Five or two times sonos One in respective corners… 90% use scenario is background music, 10% TV watchingOh and the ceiling is suspended so there is potentially an option of adding speakers in the ceiling as well, but dunno how much more complicated that is ...Any help much appreciated. 

My Sonos system includes one Beam Soundbar (Gen 2) & two Era 100 speakers that I want to connect to a turntable - yet to be purchased and to be as “wire-free” as possible.  I am considering purchasing the Audio-Technica AT-LP70X or AT-LP70XBT-BZ turntable and a Brennan VB1 device to help make everything more wireless.Should this work?Would the sound come out of the soundbar and 100 speakers?Any thoughts, other options, or suggestions?  Thanks!

Hello,This is my first time investing in speakers and I am looking for recommendations for setup. I have a 65 inch LG C3 TV in my living room and the distance between the screen and the sofa where I usually watch TV is 4250 mm. This is an apartment and my living room is open with kitchen. The whole dimensions for the living room including kitchen should be 8200 mm length and 3600 breadth. I have attached the apartment layout picture for reference.I recently, invested in an arc ultra and even though the sound is substantially better than TV, I feel this setup lacks a bit of oomph. The sound output from arc ultra feels flat with lack of bass and also the surround sound (dolby) feels non existent. Watching Peter Pee’s video, I am thinking of adding a sub mini to this setup for better bass output but is there anything I can do for better dolby surround sound ? I understand dolby sound works by bouncing off walls and in my case there is no wall on my right and the waves might have to travel

My house is currently under construction. During the planning phases, I ordered two speakers to be installed in the ceiling of the Grand Room and two outside for the pool area. The speakers are passive Elan EL-600-IC-8(s). I purchased a 77” LG OLED G3 TV for that room as well. I need suggestions as to what soundbar or surround sound system to get. My reseach leads me to believe that an ARC soundbar, Sonos Sub, and 2 SONOS amps.  

Hii am using since some year the playbar and I am still pretty happy with it. I was considering to extend it to home cinema and wanted to buy a set of era 100. after researching it seems they are not compatible to my playbar. Hi Everyone,I am thicking of buying my daughter a Project T1 Turntable for Christmas and I was wondering if I can connect these to a set of old Play 1 sonos speakers to start with and then later upgrade to say a Sonos 5? Or what setup would people recommend? Also I can see there is both a Phono and Bluetooth version of the Project T1 will both work? Do I need to buy a Sonos AMP or Port?Also would using bluetooth have a significant impact on the music quality? My daughter wears headphones a lot so I thought the bluetooth version might be a good idea. I hope someone can help?

I have built a new barn and looking for recommendations for a Sonos setup. The area overall is 48’ x 48’  with 17’ Ceilings. In that 48x48 area there is a 12x 24 area under a loft for a tv/entertainment area then the other 12x24 area attached to that is an office and bathroom. I’m looking to have a entertainment area sound hooked to the tv sound with my current Sonos Ray, however when i want music I’m looking for recommendation on the larger area and looking to be loud. Also Have a 12’ x 48’ porch outdoor area i would want speakers for as well.Any help is much appreciated.

Dear Sonos hive-mind Currently have:Single Play:1 Gen1 (I got one of two in the divorce 🙄) Bluetooth enabled turntable plugged into a mini hifi and wired speakers. But also used with separate BT speakers. Bluetooth headphones (Sony WH-1000MX3)Want to be able to play the following in multiple rooms:vinyl CDs and tapes - currently use stereo streamed music (Bandcamp, Spotify) streamed music from iTunes library on iPhone and/or iMac Need to be able to play separate sources at the same time (small person uses Play:1 at bedtime to aid sleep)Don’t care about TV input. Question 1: Can I plug multiple analog sources into a Sonos system?Question 2: If not should I still get a Sonos Amp?Question 3: If not should I get a Play:5 Gen1 for the turntable - if so can I still listen to vinyl on other speakers in other rooms? What would you recommend?Moderator edit: edited at request of author

Hi,  Need some advice on a setup for a kitchen dining area. The space has a rectangular shape with the kitchen in one end and dining table at the other. This space also has a door that connect to the garden. I currently have an Era 300 and I love it. We use it for casual background music when cooking and dining and occasionally crank it up for party occasions etc. I will need a portable option (Move2) to bring out into the garden etc. My first thought was to have my 300 in one end of the space and the move2 on the other and group them. When I need the move2 outdoors it will be close to where I need it. But I read that while the 300 is great on its own it’s awesome as a stereo pair. So I’m thinking of having dual 300s in one end of the room to take full advantage of the setup. We do 90% of all music in the kitchen and there will be a fixed listening position as we move around in the kitchen or sit by the dining table.So I’m not too sure I would benefit so much from having dual 300s in o

My partner is a big Sonos guy who has speakers setup around our house. He’s been talking about wanting a record player so naturally my thought was to get him one that integrates with his existing Sonos system as a gift. Problem is that I know nothing about Sonos and want to get him the right things without ruining the surprise by asking him, so here we are 🙂. A few questions if anyone could please provide some guidance like I’m 5 years old: is Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB Turntable the equivalent of a record player? there are three different “set” options (found here) but the description(s) are like a foreign language and the reviews are super confusing/contradictory… given the photos attached of what he currently has for his setup: which of the three packages do I need to get him for this to work out of the box?thank you so much!!! 

 Currently I am considering getting myself my first Sonos devices. My main objectives are to listen to music and be able to conveniently stream music throughout the house, whenever me or my kids like to do so, without the hassle of repairing devices to the single Bluetooth speaker that we currently use.Primarily, I am looking for something that covers the kitchen, dining and living room. I currently have 2x Play 1”s and a Beam. What do I need to connect a Wharfdale SW150 SUB?Can I use a Gen 1 connect amp for this purpose?

I have a large living room and am biting the bullet and moving away from a surround sound receiver setup with a sub to use Sonos speakers.   i plan on buying an Arc , with a sub and two surround speakers.   First question is if i’m paying over $2K for the setup should i go ahead and pay $100 for the Arc Ultra (inclined to do so) .  Next question is a bit tougher.  I’m a senior citizen  I enjoy music but rarely listen to music through my TV setup.  The speakers will be used 99% of the time to stream TV shows and movies.  As best i can tell the Era300 speakers are terrific but may not be worth the extra $$ for my intended use of them  ie surround sound.  I do like a full room sound when watching movies but I suspect the Era100 will be more than adequate (and likely a big improvement over my existing setup).  My wife is more concerned with how many remotes she will have to master and whether we can get rid of massive amounts of wiring behind the equipment ?Trust the answer yes to both :) 

Hi there, I understand there is an option to return my sonos arc, pay 100 euro’s more and get the new sonos Arc ultra. A similar thing can be done with the new sub.I have purchased my sonos Arc 2 years ago and I did not buy it directly from Sonos but from a third party in Slovakia. My products are registered however in the sonos page.Am I eligible to return and just pay the difference between the new and old?I would really hope so but if that is the case how would I go about doing so considering my location?Thank you

I am running a 2 year old Arc with a Sub gen 3 and an Amp powering Klipsch 8” wall speakers in a vaulted ceiling configuration as surrounds (they work well). I can afford an Ultra, keeping the Sub and the Amp. Or I can retain my current Arc and purchase a pair of Era 300s and stands. My screen is a 65” Bravia approx 12 feet from the couch. it is mounted on my fireplace mantle with my Arc underneath. Any height signals only need to travel approx 3 feet before hitting the ceiling. The vaulted ceiling rises from 8 feet to about 11 feet, bisecting my living room from left to right, then back down to 8 feet. It is my understanding that this divide will partially defeat the Atmos effect.So which choice is best? Ultra/sub 3 with Klipsch? Or existing Arc/sub 3 with era 300s? The 300s would encounter the same ceiling vault from the opposite direction.Thanks. 

Am considering Arc Ultra, my first foray into sound bars, and wondering if this new product is worth the hype?

Hello all!Building a house, and in our main family room (not a great room, but a separate space for TV and hanging out), I want to have a good theatre system.But, I (and definitely my wife), don’t want to have Era 300’s sitting on stands.  She couldn’t handle that, aesthetically.So, what is my best option for a Surround Sound system?  Is Atmos possible without Era 300s?  I could possibly mount Era300s on the wall, but I know she won’t like that either.I would prefer doing ceiling speakers, an amp (or two), combined with an Arc Ultra and Sub.  What would you recommend?
