I recently purchased a Sonos Arc and plan to gradually enhance my home theater setup. Should I add surround speakers or a subwoofer next? If speakers, should I choose the One SL or Era 100? If a subwoofer, should I opt for the Sub (Gen 4) or Sub Mini?

Regarding room size, I have a living room and dining room connected by a wide, open archway, each approximately 4m x 4m x 2m. Should I consider this a large room?

I would opt for the Sub Gen 4 before surrounds to allow the Arc to play just mids and highs. The Arc really shines when paired with a Sub.

Sorry but I’d go the other way. If home theatre is the main system purpose, add the Era 300’s first, to boost the immersive element - especially with Atmos - and the Sub Gen 4 after that.

Both answers are right - for different people.

Decide what is more important to YOUR ears, the low end or surround.

I’d not buy older Sonos, is the SL still available new?
