I have just purchased an Arc sound bar and a Gen 3 sub-woofer. Can I mount two rear speakers on a 3 metre ceiling.If so, what type and do they require additional brackets Thanks,Stan

Having trouble decidingSo I went to Best Buy to test the Beam gen 2 (with sub mini) and Sonos Arc (with sub gen 3). I test both with/without the sub. The Arc I could see why people say it’s better for movies. When I played the demo - Arc had the volume distributed a lot wider. Movie effects like water splashing felt widerHowever, the beam felt a lot punchier (probably because the sound is more direct). The Beam felt more in your face. For the same volume it felt like it was louder. The sound felt a lot clearer for the same volume compared to the arc. I have a 650 sq ft apartment with 12 feet between front and back wall, and a long hallway (30 feet) on my left side and a wall basically directly to my right. Would the arc be better for if I eventually upgrade my TV? I bought a "beam" and now I'm undecided whether to add Era 100 or Era 300. Does era 300 make sense with a beam? Does Atmos work in the sound round Era 100 + beam configuration or only with Era 300? In addition to these I will also buy a sub-mini. Thank you

I have a large indoor room (kitchen/living/dining combo almost 1000 sq ft) and would like accomplish 2 things with Sonos:  1.  Greatly enhance sound quality of TV sound but don’t need a truly immersive experience.  2.  Play music while cooking and entertaining.  I also have a large outdoor covered deck. Want to accomplish exact same goals outside as above stated for indoor room. Outdoor area is 1050 sq ft What would you recommend?  Thanks very much!!!

I’m converting an old barn that is 35 x 32. The walls are 11’ and go up to a peak that is 23’. How many speakers shold I mount around the space for a great music sound? Where should they be mounted? And chich speakers should I purchase?

Hi! I've decidced to change my current setup with Sonos and i'm not familiar with its capabilities.I'm interested in getting one Beam and two Moves. I would like the two moves to move around the house and when it's time for movie to pair them for stereo with the beam and eventual sub.Would that be possible and if so would you suggest to be good idea or is there a flaw in my desire.As addition will it be possible to stream the sound from PC to sonos and a wall projector at the same time without any additional complication and/or latency?Best regards!

The Sound bar was great for sound with surround. Unfortunately, it failed after five years. I purchased a Beam recently, and to follow up on a previous conversation, the Sound bar is much better for those of us with hearing issues. The beam is just not as dynamic with sound. I just returned the Beam, not so much for the sound, but because I still have an older TV and the Beam (and the Arc) both now utilize the HDMI eport or Arc port. The Sound bar utilized an optic cable and I could control the volume of my TV audio on the Sound Bar with my TV remote.  With the Beam & Arc I will have to purchase a newer TV in order to do this. (Current uses RF remote, would need IF for TV & Remote for Beam or Arc) The Sound Bar had no issue with RF.  I understand Sonos will be refurbishing the Sound Bars that we turn in and reselling. It would be great if Sonos just made a sound bar that can work in either option so that at some point if I bought a newer TV I would not have to change my Sonos p

Hi,Newby here.I've read thru the 'Using Sonos as PC speakers' post which explains a lot of the options. However, as I'm new to Sonos I wanted to understand my options and any associated limitations in my use scenario.I will be going whole home with Sonos over the coming months but only have a Roam at the moment as wanted to test operability and the sound profile.My question is regarding one room, a home office, where I would like to connect both a local TV and a local PC to the same Sonos product and be able to,1. Watch TV, mainly when the wife has commanded the main room, (which will have ARC/Sub/Era 300s), or with news in background whilst working. Stereo presentation is fine, Atmos not necesarily needed.2. Use the speaker for PC audio, (Teams, music etc) Not likely video as the speaker will be at 90' to me when using PC so a short audio delay would probably be fine.3. Playing same audio around the whole house.It seems I'm looking at units that will provide 2 inputs.So suggestions an

So I bought an Era 300. Love it. However I am told that playing physical atmos music media is far better than streaming it for pure quality.I would like to buy another Era 300, an Arc and a sub Will I be able to play Atmos physical media through a ‘device’ and get true atmos sound? If so what ‘device?’Sony x800m2?Something else? 

I have 2 era 100s laying on my desk in front of me with a sub mini.I am thinking of adding a beam gen 2 to the setup and converting the era 100s to rears.Want to mention that my room is is slightly big yet closed with not a lot of open space. My question is : in my case is the beam worth it ? will it enhance my experience a lot, mainly for listening to music and watching movies/tv series (w/o dolby atmos) ?

Fellas, I need some advice.My living room size 13×16 is with 8ft flat ceiling. TV is Samsung curved 65 4K year 2017 with arc hdmi ( no earc)  Plan to get the Arc soundbar + gen3 sub + surround. However, I still cant decide between era 100 or 300 for rears.This is my concern: the only media source is a Roku Ultra 4K. I don't have bluray players or gaming console. If I understand correctly, streaming movies have compressed Atmos data so arc hdmi has sufficient bandwith. Since I dont have other sources, will I benefit from era 300 or should i just go with 100?For music, I use Spotify premium and Apple music. Same question: when using them as surround speakers, will I benefit from era300, or just use era100?Thanks in advance!

Hello,  I’m a bit overwhelmed and not sure where to start with selecting the right components for my space.  The space is 45 ft x 45 ft, ceiling height is 16 ft.  This is a multi-use space, will be used as a garage hangout area, used for entertainment, etc… I will have a large screen TV mounted centered on one of the walls. I am not sure if the best plan would be an Immersive Set with an Arc + Gen 3 sub + 2 Era 300s or possibly setting up a 5 speaker - one at each corner, or some other configuration.  Not sure where to start. Hi, I’m going to open a concept store soon and wonder which Sonos I should pick for the shop.  It’s an open space of 120m2 with 4 meters high ceiling.  Is the HiFi Set a good choice? Or something else? 

Hi We are currently building a 3 level townhouse . On the bottom level I will have a high end hiding system inside . There will be 3 balconies and I am looking for a good sound system on each of the 3 level balconies, it needs to be based on wireless speakers as I do not  want to run anymore cables from inside to out . I will have a very good wifi mesh system.  Each balcony is outside with ocean views but undercover . I have allowed to have power outlets 2 metres above ground on each side of each of the balconies . My high system DAC uses tidal and Roon . my question is : would era 300 or Sonos 5 or move Pairs on each balcony be best ? Or is there a better solution . I want to be able to control what balcony is playing at any time and if at all possible have different things playing on different balconies  cheers and thanks for any input  Warren

Hello all, My current music systems consist of: Deezer Family Subscription2x pre-digital hi-fi separates systems, both with tape loops, one with a turntable, the other with a minidisc playerSonos Roam I’ve been trying to tease out how best to link these all together. 2x Ports would peg me with roughly £800 costs, so I’ve started looking at 2x Connect Gen 2 instead, for £300ish. I understand that they’ve been discontinued and I’m avoiding Gen 1s and have read about the S1/S2 split. The Roam, bought new, is the only experience I have of Sonos. If I buy used Connect Gen2s, will there be any non-obvious gotchyas around adding them to my sonos account or their usage, or do I simply reset them and they will behave as you’d expect with new gear?

Hi folks!I currently have a single  Sonos One Gen2. It is in another group than my Playbar, Sub and Play 3’s.I use it for radio listening and my deezer playlists. And to set timers (super usefull).To add volume and quality of the sound should I:add another one to the opposite corner of the room? move the one gen2 to another room and replace it with a single era 100? move the one gen2 to another room and replace it with a single era 300? move the one gen2 to another room and replace it with Sonos move gen 2?thank youNeven

Hi,I’m not sure which products to choose when upgrading. Pls help :) My current setup is listed below, I’m currently using the S1 app.Amplifier: Connect AMP Main speakers: B&W 606 Subwoofer: B&W ASW608 Extra speakers: Play 1 (2 pcs) Sonos BridgeI would like to switch out the old Connect AMP with the new Amp in order to get my TV connected to the setup…. questions:Will I be able to keep my Main speakers and Subwoofer? Will I need to switch out the Play 1 speakers (dont think they work with the S2 app)? Will I still need my Sonos Bridge, or does it have to be replaced?
