Does the Sonos beam come with a remote control?

Me and my girlfriend just bought our first apartment. It's not very big (59 square meters), but we want to buy a Sonos system for it. The picture doesn't reflect how we're furnishing it, but it won't be far off. I'm currently thinking a Sonos Beam for our TV. We also want to set it up for surround, and as far as I've understood we should just go for two play:1s over two ones? Long term we might want the subwoofer as well, but won't get it straight away. Good plan? The kitchen and living room are open, so do I need another speaker for the kitchen? Is it an idea to add one speaker to the kitchen as well for music, or is it unnecessary with the Beam and the play:1s in the living room? We also want one in the bathroom. Is the One (or play:1?) the best option here as the bathroom is quite small? We're not sure on the bedroom either. It's very small and close to the living room, so I guess it's a play an One here as well. What would you recommend for this apartment?

Hi, I don't have any Sonos products yet but am mulling my options. I have a an open plan living/dining/kitchen room that is 8m long and 6m deep. It is all shiny tiles and hard surfaces with a long sliding glass door from wall to wall at the living room end (see attached for layout). I don't have a stereo at the moment. For those familiar with the Sonos products, what Sonos products would you buy for this room if you were in my shoes? Would you buy 1x Sonos Five; or 2x Sonos 1; or 2x Sonos Five or some other combination? Where would you place the products? I spend my time on the couch or cooking at the kitchen and rarely at the dining table. Would two Sonos One products either side of the TV console be the best bet? I should mention that I am only interested in sound quality for music, as I am not so interested in sound quality for movies and TV watching. I listen to folky sort of music (e.g. Bon Iver), blues, and classical. Thank you very much in advance!

Hello everybody. It's Giulio from Italy, and I'm glad for having just joined this great community. I'm planning to move shortly to a new apartment I bought some time ago and that I've just finished of restoring internally. Now, with some patience and without the urgency of buying all the pieces in a single time for $ reasons, I'm planning to setup a Sonos system in my future living room. To sum up my needs/intentions: - Things I've got at the moment: a Rega Planar turntable, a huge amount of vinyls to play with, and a brand new 4K tv. - Things I would like to do: play music from my turntable, and enjoying the sound of my TV as well (obviously not at the same time :D), streaming the sound wirelessly with a Sonos setup. - At the moment, I have also a couple of analogue speakers and a Rotel amplifier, but my plans are to move them somewhere else, in another room so to speak and don't consider them in the turntable play rig for now. - Turntable and TV will be located in the

I'd like to try out the TruePlay settings for my Play systems but I don't have any Apple gear to do it with. Worse I know nothing about Apple products. I found the list of compatible Apple hardware here but I don't know what else would be needed to get it working. If I bought something on the hardware list, cheap off ebay, what would I need to add to that device to be able to use the Sonos app and TruePlay? Is there anywhere cheaper than ebay to pick up a compatible device?

I have a bunch of sonos one's and a connect (to far from computer to use earphone adaptor). I was wondering if I buy a sonos 1 will i be able to stream audio from youtube from my computer to my sonos system? If yes, Will I be able to select which rooms to play in?

I'm thinking of replacing my old/slow unmanaged switch to which I connect my two Play:5s so I'm looking for a recommendation. Briefly, my setup is as follows: BT HomeHub 5 Unmanaged 100BaseT switch connected to HH5 and the following connected to the switch - two Play:3s, in stereo - macMini - DVD Player Also wired directly to HH5 are - NowTV box - BT TV box On the wifi - one Play:1 in kitchen - one Play:1 upstairs - a variety of MacBook Pros and iPhones I've read various posts in the past talking about managed switches, VLANs (especially where NowTV is involved), etc so I'm curious as to what the current advice is. Would anyone please recommend a managed switch for me? I'd also need to know whether there is any specific settings I need with respect to getting my Sonos to work optimally with it. So I wanted to get a Sonos Connect for my TV. And as I've read more about it im starting to understand. I want to hook my Sonos Connect up to my cable box turn off my TV speakers, but if I hook my optical cable to the back of my TV and then to my sound bar will my sound bar play with my existing Sonos speakers? And will it echo is another big concern?

I would like to get a couple sonos one and a playbar to connect to my Onkyo TX NR646 and existing sub to create a surround sound experience. From what I've been reading the Onkyo TX NR646 is NOT on the "works with sonos" list but have others been able to make it work? Maybe with sonos connect? Help!

Can I have the opinions from those of you who have or have had experience of using the Sonos Sub with the new Beam and Play 1’s - separately i.e. not as a 5.1 set up (unfortunately i’m unable to use my Play 1’s as rear channels so i’m using the x2 Play 1’s for music and Beam for TV). Is the improvement it makes to the sound worth spending the £700 ish or should I leave alone.

I am looking to create a multi-zone system in my home using built in speakers and running home run wires to separate connect:amps to create my zones. I will have zones in the traditional places ie., kitchen, living room, outside, etc. but, my question is how do I set up my TV room? I want to have surround sound in my TV/Living room so, is there an easy way to be able to use the previously mentioned built in speakers that are connected to the connect:amp for the TV and still be able to use those speakers for music (not at the same time)? Do I need to separate connect:amps for the same set of speakers? Or, is it easier just to buy a sonos surround sound system for my TV and keep it separate? I live an area with many WiFi networks. My Sonos keeps dropping out or skipping in the middle of a song. I get a message that says “unable to play....”. Previously I had a Bridge wired to router and had very few problems. Bridge crapped out after about 10 years. Since it crapped out we switched to WiFi from Boost setup. Now we have problems. My question is will a wired Boost and Boost network help? My Sonos used to be so reliable. Not so much anymore.

In my living room, I now have 2nd gen play 5 connected to TV line-in, and a pair of play 1's bounded with a SUB. They are grouped together for watching movies and listening to music. I know it does not provide surround sound and cause slight delay of lip sync when watching TV. I am thinking about getting a beam to replace the play 5. Can anyone adives what the gain and loss would be in terms of sound experience? I heard play 5 beats beam in sound quality. Thanks in advance!

I am thinking about buying the sonos play 1. Would only one be enough or should I buy two. It is for my bedroom so the room is not that big.

Hey all! I know this has been asked a thousand times already, but i still cant find an answer. Most of people here and on reddit seems to agree that 2 play 1/ONE in stereo are better than a play 5. Is it just the people listening at lower volumes and more mellow tunes that thinks this? The play 5 surely must be better? My current ONE struggles past 60% volume in my ears. I like to listen to mostly hiphop and EDM, and im thinking of either buying a second ONE or changing my current ONE to a play 5. Im only gonna use this in 1 room for several years. What is the better choice for loud and bassy experience? Thanks!

Im curious if Sonos makes an in ceiling speakers that can be connected to the amp with speaker wire?

I just picked up a set of Sonos one speakers slightly used for 200 bucks! These things are awesome! I had previously bought a play three but returned it due to the inferior sound quality and reading several times how people had said that two of the One’s should out perform a single play 3, and they have thus far. I want an additional speaker to use throughout the home I now have one set up in my dining room and the other in my kitchen, but I’m looking for one that I can move around from place to place and even outside from time to time. My conundrum is should I pick up an additional Sonos One for $167 on Amazon (open box), or something else? I would like to be able to move one of the Speakers around the house and possibly outside as needed and I could easily do this with one of the speakers that I already have. This being said I could also save up and pick up a Play 5 later on or I could get the open box deal now and at some point later pick up a fourth speaker of some type? If I go wi

I have a new Samsung TV, a pair of Klipsch RP280F Speakers and a new Sonos Connect Amp. I didn't do enough research and assumed multiple inputs that would work on the amp for 2 sources. Source 1: Sonos wifi, Source 2: TV. I like to watch concerts on the TV. Is this not the correct AMP for the speakers and TV combo?

Hi all There is a nice promotion in Italy this weekend of 18% discount on some Sonos, not the one but the play 1. Because it is very old hardware, so you think is still worth buying the Play1 or wait for a promotion on the one and do you think the one is better for the future? By now I am not very interested in smart functionalities, also because Alexa is still not present in Italy. I am afraid that the play 1 will soon lose value compared to the one. Anybody can help? Having surrendered my music room I've just got into Sonos; I started with just the Sonos One until I read on this forum that a pair would give a half-decent stereo performance so I bought another One and paired them up. Still sounded a bit ' thin' to be honest so I went into Richer Sounds ( who were really good to deal with by the way) and after hearing a demo, bought the Sub to add a layer of depth. I am really impressed with the set-up now, it sounds very rich considering the size of the Ones. I didn't purchase the Sub for out-and- out loudness ( don't like loud music tbh) , the Sub does add a subtle depth to the presentation so I'm very happy. The million dollar question is whether, as funds permit, I move the Ones into other rooms around the house and replace them in the living room with a pair of 5's..........

Hey everyone, I’m completely new to Sonos, though I’ve been reading this forum for a while now. I’ve been scouring eBay recently, and have noticed a lot of gen 1 play 5’s for half of what the gen 2 is, some in new condition. I don’t need Alexa(for this area) and I know there would be no warranty, but other than that is there a downside? I would like to purchase two for my living room dining room area (40x17ft). Later on I plan to get a new 5.1 with Alexa for the living room. Thanks in advance Jaclyn

Saw the release on the upcoming new amp that can power 2 sets of speakers. Can it treat them as two zones with separate volume controls or at least the ability to turn the second set off/on?

Ordered yesterday from Europe shop (12.00 BST). In seconds I received confirmation from Paypal. 24 hrs later there was still no confirmation from Sonos. So, I phoned Sales contact number (Netherlands) - on hold for 15 minutes - then connected to UK agent (???). All this at international phone rates. The agent was able to discover the order and informed me it was in the delivery system. I received a confirnation e-mail from him giving me the actual order number.. I just checked via my account for Orders - There are no orders listed! This purchase was intended as a birthday present for Thursday - I took the Sonos blurb at face value (delivery within 2 working days). So far, this has been a VERY negative experience.

I just purchased a house that had 2 rear Cambridge SoundWorks speakers wired in the family room. There are also 2 pool side speaker wires ran but no speakers connected yet. Both speaker sets come into one centrally located area where the TV is in the family room. I'm thinking of getting either Polk or Bose outdoor speakers. My questions are, if I get a Sonos Soundplay or Beam and a ConnectAMP, can I connect all of the speakers together running Sonos? What about a subwoofer, would I need to get a Sonos sub or could I buy some cheaper one and integrate that as well? Wondering if I need to get a receiver (thinking maybe the Denon Heos) to connect everything then add a Sonos Connect or can I run everything through a ConnectAMP and not need a receiver?
