What to get

I know the Playbar is 3.35 inches in height but I need to know if it will fit with either of these tvs? I have a slight idea of the height with the legs on the tv but don't want it getting into the screen at all

Let's ignore the fact that Play:1, like all Sonos products, is not designed or rated for outdoor use. Let's just assume that I am going to usually keep the product indoors, except on nice days, but that when I have a nice day, maybe I want some music in the backyard, and maybe I want it for a small party (up to 25 people). My question is, does a single Play:1 have enough power to be useful in a backyard setting? The dimensions of the backyard are around 25' across and around 60' deep, but the sound doesn't need to reach all the way to the back - I'd be happy if people could comfortably hear it only as far as 30' away. If a single Play:1 won't get the job done, what's the cheapest Sonos product(s) I need (from a cost perspective, ignoring the benefits of true stereo sound) to do it? Thanks!

Hey guys, Got a huge dilemma over here lol. I'm totally for the Sonos Playbase but today, I brought my wife to check it out and we checked the Yamaha YSP-2700 as well. That was really good as well - especially since it came with a subwoofer and it was spewing out 7.1 sound. It sports all the latest connections as well - HDMI ARC, you name it. However, one thing that Sonos does extremely well, in my opinion, is how stereo separation works. Wife says that it's a better bang for the buck with the Yamaha since we're getting a whole load of features and I understand what she means. The Sonos Beam could be an option too! Which one should I get guys? TV: LG C7 which wouldn't have trouble with either of them. Room: Apartment Living Room which isn't too big. Multi-room potential: Definitely yes. So ease of setting that up and using it would be great.

I have 4 Zoneplayer Zp100's, one connected to the router by ethernet cable, a playbar and a room with two PLAY:5's. The audio can drop out once in a while in the PLAY"5 room and it is also the weakest wifi area of my house. Could a BOOST be strategically placed somewhere between the rooter and the room in question to enhance the SONOS connectivity there or was it designed only to be an device to connect directly to a router?

Hi there - Moving to a new home which has a big open living room/kitchen with vaulted ceilings. I currently have 2 Play1's in my small home but want to give the system a bit of an upgrade now that i'll have more space. Would you recommend adding a sub paired with the play 1's or add a play 5 with the two 1's? Thanks!

Owner of 2 x Sonos Play 1s & Sonos Sub. Bought an LG OLED55E7N on Black Friday last year at a bargain price. TV has a decent builtin soundbar, but can't make use of the surround Play 1s & Sub, which seems a shame. Would you consider the Sonos Beam so can take advantage of a 5.1 setup with the Play 1s & Sub, & disable the builtin soundbar?

I currently have my outdoor speakers (Yamaha NS-AW592, 6 ohm 50-150W) connected to a Pioneer receiver (VSX-D811, 100W per channel) - to which I have connected a Sonos5. This works OK for me but as I want to use that Sonos5 elsewhere as well, I constantly have to move it around and plug in and out of the receiver. So, I am leaning towards a more permanent setup for my outdoor speakers in combination with Sonos. One option is to use a Connect, and hook that up to my receiver - which I assume will essentially be the same as what I get now through my Sonos5 setup (?) Other option is to forget about the receiver (which I only use to get input from Sonos) altogether and go for the Connect:Amp. Benefit would be that I no longer need to have an additional piece of equipment and would provide imho easier usability. Downside is the extra cost, and also concerned if the AMP will produce same sound quality and volume levels of output as the Pioneer receiver now does. Any advice on whether

I’m intending to purchase a Beam, a Sub and a Play:5 to try and cover a variety of audio needs in my living room and adjoining outdoor terrace. Would it be trivial to switch between the use cases below (like just selecting pre-configured pairings from a drop down menu) or would it involve lots of button-pressing and re-calibrations... 1) Beam and Sub playing TV content, Play:5 silent 2) Play:5 and Sub playing Spotify etc, Beam silent 3) Play:5 moved out to the terrace playing Spotify, Sub and Beam remain silent indoors 4) All 3 Sonos speakers playing Spotify at the same time 5) All 3 Sonos speakers playing TV content at the same time Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Missing musicservice "Accuradio" in Europe, especially in Germany. When will it be available?

Right now I just have a Playbar in the "Family Room" area but I'm going to expand with sub and 2 Play 1s to complete the 5.1 setup. My question is more about how I should set up the whole area. I'm thinking either two Play 1s or a Play 5 in the "Living Room" area, which I am using as an office. The rest of the area I'm kind of at a loss with, I want full coverage but I don't want overkill due to the area being so open. Sidenote...I'm using the "Dining Room" as a sitting area where I may add a tv later. All suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have all my sound in my home connected to Sonos, except AppleTV, which doesn't have an audio out. We primarily watch netflix, so can't use the nice surround sound, and instead use the TV speakers. Should I get a different media streaming device? Or what are my options to watch netflix via a streaming device and connect the audio to my sonos system?

Now I have my super size TV, and I move the my 65 inch to the bedroom. I decided to move my onkyo 2.1 with the 65 into the bed room. Because Samsung gave me a surprise offer. Get a HW-MS750 for 275 as a special offer. Prompting me to think about upgrading the HT in the living room. option 1 Get a Beam. I am not a fan of the playbase and playbar because of lack of HDMI for the price. The Beam might get me to move to sonos for HT. But I am not sold on it, since it seems to be marketed for people looking for a boost in sound quality over the flatscreen speakers. But since it is not out yet. Question: Does the Sonos Boost work for increasing App reception or is it just for speakers. Here is my issue: My wifi system does have an extender installed. However while I am on my Patio my WiFi connection for the Sonos App does not function that well. I realize this is due to a weaker WiFi signal, my hope is to increase my app response with the Boost...since it goes through walls and ceilings. Please advise

Today I've got two Play:1s. One in the kitchen and one in the living room (see pic). Today I got gifted a new Sonos One. I'm debating returning it and buy a play:5 for the living room and to move one play:1 to the bedroom. Would that be overkill for my small apartment? I normally listen at around 30% volume. My other option is to replace my Sony HT-380 sound bar with dedicated sub with the Sonos Beam. Third option is just to keep the One and add it to my setup. What would you do?

Hello: Do you think the Beam is right for me? I am currently heavily invested in Sonos with 12 speakers in 9 zones, all for music. I mostly play music off my NAS and also stream Sirius/XM Satellite radio. My listening taste are mostly Springsteen, Classic Rock, Classical, Opera and Jazz. A secondary question would be whether to take the plunge on the Sub. My interest in the Beam is in improving the audio out of my inexpensive LED TV's. I don't sit down to watch TV for hours; the TV's are often on in the background while eating, playing with the dog, etc. An exception to this is playing the Switch. Because I'm not watching home theater, I was never interested in the Playbar/Playbase that cost more than my TV's. Hi all, I want to buy some new floor standing (preferably white) speakers to use on my connect amp. They’ll be in the front room and mainly used for TV and music. I have been using a pair of tannoys that I purchased about 20 years ago so am in major need of an upgrade and wondered what experience and recommendation people may have. Hi. So the new house build is nearly complete and I'm about to take the plunge. I've had wired 5.1 separates in the past, but this my first foray into Sonos. Having read up, Googled and read previous threads here, I'm still a little unsure of which to get - PlayBase or PlayBar. Removing the obvious decider from the equation, wall mount or bench top, as I can have either arrangement, for those who have tried both, which delivered the better sound? I'll be buying the Sub and two Ones to use as rear surrounds at the same time. The deeper and richer the bass and mids, the better as far as I'm concerned. Looking at the overall footprint and mass of the PlayBase, everything's making me lean in that direction rather than the Bar. We only use the following input/ouput which helps narrow things down possibly: We have a Sony 4k TV and using the internal Android, we use the built in Netflix and Prime Video Apps. Just moved into a new house with speakers throughout, walls and ceiling. They decided to leave me some equipment (see attached) and set it up so all the wires come out in the same place(also attached photo) Is there a SONOS product that can help me simplify this? Hi there guys I would like some information on how to set up a multi-room setup for a Sonos system. I am looking at having around 10 zones in total. I just wanted some advice on on what power amps to use in ceiling speakers. And also if we can connect up to 10 zones on one Sonos system with 10 power amps.

Like many other post I was planning in getting a Playbar but now the Beam complicates my decision. My situation - - planning to spend about $700 - room size medium (to small) 13’x19’ - tv does not have ARC - i’d like to mount on the wall under tv - Alexa already present in the room with Harmony Option 1 - Playbar Option 2 - Beam with two Play Ones I’m just curious on others thoughts. The bells and whistles with the Beam I really can’t use until I get a new tv. But with the room not huge am I better going after the number of speakers vs the fullness of one.

I have play1, playOne, playbar and the sub and I would like to be able to get the sound from this projector to the Sonos system. What extra equipment will I need? I just bought the TCL 6 sERIES 4K TV, and I want to dive into the Sonos community. I listened to both the Playbar and Playbase both with the SUB, and I really like the sound of the Bar over the Base. The Beam just seems to small for me, I want big loud music into my 12x14 rectangular living room. Will there be any setup or playback issues with this TV or setup?

I have skimmed many of the "What should I buy" answers in this forum, but still don't have a clear picture of what I need. But I do know what I'd like to accomplish. Basically, my wife hated the Advent Legacy II's we bought in 1991 and talked me into Paradigm bookshelf speakers in '06. Now she hates seeing speaker wire string along the floorboard everywhere...
