Your opinion? Two ERA 300's with a sub or two Fives (in an average sized living room) for music?

What speaker(s) are best for playing vinyl via turntable and why would you recommend them? Thanks in advance!

I currently have 2x Play 1”s and a Beam. What do I need to connect a Wharfdale SW150 SUB?Can I use a Gen 1 connect amp for this purpose?

I have a large living room and am biting the bullet and moving away from a surround sound receiver setup with a sub to use Sonos speakers.   i plan on buying an Arc , with a sub and two surround speakers.   First question is if i’m paying over $2K for the setup should i go ahead and pay $100 for the Arc Ultra (inclined to do so) .  Next question is a bit tougher.  I’m a senior citizen  I enjoy music but rarely listen to music through my TV setup.  The speakers will be used 99% of the time to stream TV shows and movies.  As best i can tell the Era300 speakers are terrific but may not be worth the extra $$ for my intended use of them  ie surround sound.  I do like a full room sound when watching movies but I suspect the Era100 will be more than adequate (and likely a big improvement over my existing setup).  My wife is more concerned with how many remotes she will have to master and whether we can get rid of massive amounts of wiring behind the equipment ?Trust the answer yes to both :) 

Hi there, I understand there is an option to return my sonos arc, pay 100 euro’s more and get the new sonos Arc ultra. A similar thing can be done with the new sub.I have purchased my sonos Arc 2 years ago and I did not buy it directly from Sonos but from a third party in Slovakia. My products are registered however in the sonos page.Am I eligible to return and just pay the difference between the new and old?I would really hope so but if that is the case how would I go about doing so considering my location?Thank you

I am running a 2 year old Arc with a Sub gen 3 and an Amp powering Klipsch 8” wall speakers in a vaulted ceiling configuration as surrounds (they work well). I can afford an Ultra, keeping the Sub and the Amp. Or I can retain my current Arc and purchase a pair of Era 300s and stands. My screen is a 65” Bravia approx 12 feet from the couch. it is mounted on my fireplace mantle with my Arc underneath. Any height signals only need to travel approx 3 feet before hitting the ceiling. The vaulted ceiling rises from 8 feet to about 11 feet, bisecting my living room from left to right, then back down to 8 feet. It is my understanding that this divide will partially defeat the Atmos effect.So which choice is best? Ultra/sub 3 with Klipsch? Or existing Arc/sub 3 with era 300s? The 300s would encounter the same ceiling vault from the opposite direction.Thanks. 

Am considering Arc Ultra, my first foray into sound bars, and wondering if this new product is worth the hype?

Hello all!Building a house, and in our main family room (not a great room, but a separate space for TV and hanging out), I want to have a good theatre system.But, I (and definitely my wife), don’t want to have Era 300’s sitting on stands.  She couldn’t handle that, aesthetically.So, what is my best option for a Surround Sound system?  Is Atmos possible without Era 300s?  I could possibly mount Era300s on the wall, but I know she won’t like that either.I would prefer doing ceiling speakers, an amp (or two), combined with an Arc Ultra and Sub.  What would you recommend?

Looking to upgrade to a living room Samsung 55” frame tv with some older Sonos (I think play:3s) components that are presently used in the room solely for digital music, but I’d like to incorporate the TV. Also have a Sonos Pro-Ject turntable I’d also like to add to the system from a side room. Obviously I need to add some components, but not looking to go nuts (don’t really need/want crushing Atmos sound, but would appreciate a bit more than just the Samsung built-in speakers) and don’t want to use a soundbar (don’t want to see another component - I prefer the low-impact of a frame tv with a hidden in-wall box w Apple TV) to keep it super clean and simple. The turntable is in another room, so think I just need a Bluetooth enabled remote speaker to add that to the overall Sonos system? And as far as the TV, can I use the Play:3s in tandem with the TV speakers? I’d be open to adding a sub under the couch or otherwise hidden and MAYBE a central speaker if it could be hidden. Thoughts/adv

I’m the happy owner of 2 play:5 gen 1 speakers. The speakers are paired and I use them to stream classical music mostly from Apple Music. I would like to replace them with 2 sonos fives. At first, replacing them with the fives seemed like a nobrainer to me, but now I’m wondering if chosing a pair of era 300’s wouldn’t be better. I read that the fives are punchier, but are they also better for classical music ? I know this is also a matter of taste, but I would really like to hear experiences from others. There is probably no bad choice.

Wife gave me tight budget for Surround sound of $1000.00.What would you do?1 Buy the Arc ultra and use it’s own.2 Buy a Samsung Q990C and have rear surrounds and Sub.We watch 90% tv and 10% movies

I would like to upgrade my existing Arc gen 1 to Arc ultra, but I cannot claim the upgrade discount mentioned by many on the Sonos website. In addition to my registered products under the system tab, the update option is not offered. Arc + 2 x Sub Gen 3 + 2 x Era 300After a little research, I was surprised to notice that Hungarian users are not eligible. It is more interesting, considering that all neighboring countries do. There is Hungarian support and service, but no upgrade discount? So how is this?Moreover, it is the same with my friend who lives in London. He also has the same Sonos products, but the upgrade discount is not available there either.Do you have any ideas how we can get the 15% discount?

Hi,I recently bought an Arc with a SubG3, however I have decided to return it for a number of reasons, some of these include:Narrow soundstage - the sound feels very directional to me in the sense that it is very soundbar-centric. In comparison to standard stereo speakers which appear to do a better job of filling the room with sound. The sub kept getting disconnected and sometimes the Arc would not play from Apple Music or load properly (I have an iPhone 15 Pro so it’s fairly new). Both the Arc and the Sub consume a constant 4w of power even when not in use (I only use my TV for about an hour or two a day so this is a waste and not great for the environment - I can charge my iPhone with my wireless charger at about 5w, haha!)Anyway I have decided that the Arc Ultra may be better for me as the Ultra looks like they have designed more sound dispersion into the drivers towards the ends and I think they have also commented about things like power consumption as well. i have two gen 1 play 5’sI’m thinking of adding a sonos Sub gen 1. My question is would the results be better than buying two of the latest 5’s ? Mainly listening to dance, Heavy bass type music. BUT also a lot of indie, Smiths, Joy Division, New order, Smashing Pumpkins, Pixies Any thoughts ? 

I sore this is going to come down to opinion but looking for some opinions before spending several thousand! I have a 6 zone Linc system ( only 5 zones connected ).   It’s in a rental home I own so it’s not possible for me to trouble shoot ( I’m on the other side of the world ).  I’ve had problems with the htd in the past with noise coming though the speakers and HTD were good enough to replace the remote thing!   But it’s acting up again.  To be honest, I don’t need 5 discrete zones. I could get by with pairing the master bath and master bedroom. As well as pairing my kitchen and Gabe’s room.  Add on the patio and I really only need three.  I also think the 6 source inputs is overkill   To be honest we never really ever listened to different music in different areas. But being able to select from a couple of inputs would be beneficial  I was thinking to buy 3 Sonos amps and be done with it. Hi.   I have some old legacy Sonos S1 items - including a Play:3 (from 2012).   I am gradually replacing components in order to have a full Sonos ‘S2’ set up.    Does anyone have advice what current S2-compliant speaker would be similar in size and output etc to the old (lovely) Play:3?    Thanks !    Mike

Hi all, First post here so hi everyone! I’m renovating and putting in a home gym which will also double up as a cinema room & golf simulator. My room is approx 8m x 5m and I’m looking to put in Sonos speakers so that I can listen to music when using it as a gym but then also have speakers that would work well enough when using as a cinema room. Ideal situation is that I have one speaker set up that works well for both so I was thinking one of the following options but am not sure if they would work. So I would love some feedback and I’m open to other suggestions. 4 ceiling (or other type) speakers: Could this work as surround i.e. two for rear left & rear right and then two for front left, front right & centre? Does a pair of Sonos split right and left and can two Sonos also incorporate centre as well as front and right? I have a Sonos 5 in a large living room. It's fine. I want to add a single speaker in the next room so the music is uninterrupted as I move around. Another Sonos 5 is too much money. Stereo listening is not a priority as it's two separate rooms.Any suggestions? Era 100 or Era 300 or other?Thanks 

Before I look elsewhere, are SONOS planning on producing a CD player in the near future?

This may (hopefully) be a very easy question, but how do you set up a synchronized multispeaker (2-4) wireless system?  We have a large, echoing training building that is 75x50x20’ and want to be able to play a single source synchronized across all speakers at the same time using bluetooth or wifi.

Hi. Getting an extension built and currently trying to plan all wiring etc so we don't need to retro fit anything. I want to set up a Sonos surround system in the living room section of the new living/dining/kitchen space. I have had a play3 for many years and plan to put this in the kitchen where it will only be used for music. For the living room I was thinking to get a beam, mini sub and 2x era 100 to put on the wall behind the sofa. The total room size is 9000mm x 7700mm. The living room section is 4800mm TV to wall where era100s would go, 4300mm wide. Sofa will sit around 1500 in front of the eras, 2500 back from the TV&beam. Will this work? Is there a better option? I was considering amp and ceiling speakers instead of eras but much more expensive and means I have an amp to find a home for. Anh and all opinions appreciated!

Hi everyone,I have an in-roof speaker system at home that has its own amplifier. I'm looking for ways to integrate it into my Sonos system without having to replace the existing amplifier. I want to be able to control all of my speakers from one app and enjoy seamless audio playback throughout my home. My speaker system has RCA and 3.5mm inputs available.Does anyone have experience integrating in-roof speakers with a Sonos system? What are the best approaches and what should I consider when making my decision? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
