Looking to upgrade to a living room Samsung 55” frame tv with some older Sonos (I think play:3s) components that are presently used in the room solely for digital music, but I’d like to incorporate the TV. Also have a Sonos Pro-Ject turntable I’d also like to add to the system from a side room. Obviously I need to add some components, but not looking to go nuts (don’t really need/want crushing Atmos sound, but would appreciate a bit more than just the Samsung built-in speakers) and don’t want to use a soundbar (don’t want to see another component - I prefer the low-impact of a frame tv with a hidden in-wall box w Apple TV) to keep it super clean and simple. The turntable is in another room, so think I just need a Bluetooth enabled remote speaker to add that to the overall Sonos system? And as far as the TV, can I use the Play:3s in tandem with the TV speakers? I’d be open to adding a sub under the couch or otherwise hidden and MAYBE a central speaker if it could be hidden. Thoughts/advice?

First thing first. You could use a Sonos Port to get the sound from your turntable into the Sonos system. Cheaper option would be an Era 100 with the Sonos adapter. If the turntable is bluetooth capable a Move 2 or Roam could also be an option.

Since Sonos does not do center speakers and you do not want to use a soundbar your only option with the TV is the Sonos Amp with two non-Sonos wired speakers. The Play 3’s could be used as surrounds but cannot be connected to the TV.

The Amp and some in-wall speakers should look pretty clean and sound good.

Thanks for the input - any thoughts/expertise appreciated!

The turntable is blue tooth, so sounds like a move 2 or roam will link that to the overall system, right?

And regarding the TV, assume you have to choose either the Samsung built in speakers OR Sonos audio - it’s not possible to combine them somehow? If I added an amp, is it possible to use a Play 3 as center speaker and 2 more Play 3s as surround? (I have 3 presently).
As an alternative, is there something less “in your face” than a sound bar that can be used as center?  Something not mounted to the wall?

If you use the Amp you will need two passive speakers for the front, you can add two matching Sonos as surrounds.

You can place the passive speakers as you wish don't need to be on wall.

As I said earlier, Sonos does not do centers.
