It feels like I was seeing some stability and improvements over the past 6+ months but since the latest update a couple days ago, new issues such as inability to add speakers to the group, volume control/responsiveness issues, general connectivity, viewing the queue, etc. Anyone else? We normally use iPhones but I also use an Android tablet because it generally is better for Sonos. But it does t matter with this latest release.
Hi all, hopefully as well Sonos is there a plan once in a while to have one App supporting all Sonos Speakers again… so get rid of Sonos and S1?Here my conclusion, I have started with Sonos 10 years ago, my house is full of it, arounf 7k dollars in speakers, incl. Dolby, Sub, Playbar and many more.i had the interest to add some speakers, one in this room or that room…. Now I see that I would have to use 2 apps or trade-in my old equipment with a joking price i get as a rebate, the speakers all still work fine as of now… So no need to exchange… still music will come out of it, correct. As long it is as it is and speakers from Sonos are NOT compatible with ONE app i will never ever buy a speaker from Sonos, rather I check for a more open system. lLike that you can kill a company and if I looked what happend in the past with Sonos stock and CEO you guys are on the best way to disapear from a market which you have dominated some years ago… Sad story. If someone from Sonos reads this, a sho

Hi There:i can say well done. you find the way for marketing that if i have a sonos i have to have sonos again to improve my system. it ok… but my advise.. you guys stop messing around with app, S1 S2, sub 4 can not be paired with play5 gen 2 or playbar(i got my playbar from next to commercial bin, they bin it coz drivers ring rotten, i fix it cost me £5 and my time. i enjoyed to fix)Honestly, in amplifier the technology that you use, clear and smooth the sound(better than BOSE)My opinion…..Have you ever realize Your Main competitor Bose sounds between %6-%12 louder than sonos without distortion(on similar product). What action ll take about it?it was on deal lately i purchase my sub gen 3(because gen 4 can not pair with my system). i was dissapointed, but i ll not return it back. At least good looking peace of wood, i ll use it as my coffee table next to my armchair.(to whom can fell that sentences deeply)i clap my hand for play 5(well done) deeper base than your subs(of course less l
Sonos app always chooses Bedroom to play to and not Livingroom even when I select Livingroom and click ‘apply’.
You folks need to send us emails to notify us when the offline issues occur. I spent a lot of time trying to determine if my not being able to listen to the music stations I added to my system was something wrong at my end. Just sayin”!!!!!!!!Why did you not do this?
HelloYou may have heard the saying “Use it or lose it”. Well there is truth in that statement. Here’s how it relates to Sonos.Speakers are designed with several components which are:Basket Diaphragm Dust Cap Magent Spider Suspension Voice CoilJust like your body in order to maintain it and stay healthy regular exercise is recommended. Speakers are no different. You may have a Sonos Home Theater (soundbar, surrounds and sub) that get regular use. You may have other Sonos speakers that are only used on occasion.I have a Sonos Home Theater setup in a guest bedroom. The operative word being “guest”. Since I’m not running an AirBnB the guest room speakers get very limited use. To maintain those speakers in good working condition I at least once a month send music audio to them to keep them “exercised” The music audio I send is not at low volume. I increase the volume to a level that gives them a good workout. However, not enough to cause clipping and/or damage. This recommended routine is

Dear SONOS,I was going through the new product line up of some competing brands and realised something. Few the new streaming DACs in the market are available with a display / touch screen display. I don't know how important this is for others but its a one up for me.This surely one of the reasons that is holding me back to buy the port.So SONOS, I hope you are in the making of a streaming DAC with a display.
Hello I’m writing as a long-time Sonos customer who truly appreciates your commitment to smart, high-quality home audio. Your products are intuitive, well-designed, and form the foundation of my entire multi-room system. However, I’ve run into a serious limitation that I believe deserves your attention — and may be impacting many other loyal customers as well. Some time ago, I purchased a Sonos Sub (approx. $799) with the intention of enhancing the low-end performance of my analog speaker zones powered by two Sonos Ports. I was surprised and disappointed to learn afterward that the Sub is not compatible with the Port — even though both are network-connected Sonos products. As a result, my Sub has been sitting unused in my closet ever since. I chose not to return it in hopes that I might eventually upgrade to a Sonos Amp — but truthfully, I already invested heavily in my system and don’t want to replace components that are already doing their job well. The Port is perfect for integratin
Should Sonos offer a speaker upgrade/exchange program?
The ad campaign is so deceptive. The Ace headphones do not work with any piece of the Sonos infrastructure other than the Arc/Arc Ultra, i.e. TV audio swap products. Are the appearances of Ace and Move together intended to be a pivot from WiFi to Bluetooth? Is it a shift from sound quality to sound convenience? Why not be transparent and engaging with loyal customers?Sonos, please explain.
I received an email from Sonos, and a follow up from Cambridge Focus Research to participate in a study. The email did come from a Sonos.com email address. Just wanted to check in to see if this is legit, and if anyone else received, and/or is participating.
hopefully this will help, if you are on macOS, don’t stress about the app crashing. don’t search for answers. just delete it. it will take a weight off your mind.if you have an AirPlay compatible Sonos, it should be fine from Apple Music on laptop or phone.if you have an older speaker that isn’t AirPlay, copy music to phone or a NAS and find it using the iOS app. the app even shows album art work! it’s almost like a fully functional minimal viable player!don’t ever try to use the desktop app or web app, that will only get your hopes up, but it’s pointless. don’t get sucked into thinking you need to reset your router or your fridge etc. before you know it, you’ll be changing the locks on your doors in case they might be the problem….:-)
Hello Sonos Community,I’m writing out of frustration after spending countless hours trying to resolve persistent connectivity issues between my Android app and my Era 100 speaker. Despite following every troubleshooting step suggested by Sonos support—including factory resets, forgetting and re-adding networks, and more—the connection remains unreliable. The app connects to my Era 100 only about 1 out of every 10 attempts.Support repeatedly points to my use of WiFi extenders with the same SSID as the cause. However, I had the exact same problem before installing the extenders. To rule this out, I’ve even disabled the extenders entirely, but the issue persists. I have also: Ensured my phone and speaker are on the same WiFi network Tried different devices for setup Updated all firmware and apps Confirm that there is no VPN or firewalls Attempted setup near the main router Nothing has provided a lasting fix. Factory resets sometimes work—once—but the next connection attempt almost
USA-SONOS.com Real or Scam? I see discounts at times on Social media that go to that URL. To tempting to be real…
Latest firmware and latest version of the Sonos app on Android.I still routinely have to stop and restart the app to get it to update it’s ‘now playing’ display. While playing an imported playlist the speakers stop playing after random songs in the playlist.Unfortunately this is still an awful experience and I can’t get back to simply playing my music as it was before the ‘now not so new’ app was released.
I have to start a new thread since support closes any others that are negative to the product. THIS IS A WARNING TO NEW CUSTOMERS I bought 2 sonos one units years ago, when apps were a growing fad and before bluetooth speakers took off. They never worked right. Now years later I tried to set them up again in a new home office. Sonos is worthless, and its not due to the age of the speakers. Its the same software issues that limits sonos products:1.) Why MUST I use a phone app to setup, you can't port that functionality to other os?2.) Why does it REQUIRE gps? This can't be an optional thing? Maybe I dont want you selling my physical location the way I am sure you are selling all our other p13n data3.) My old speakers don't use bluetooth, so why does it have to be enabled in the app? 4.) All my music is local or played off my phone, why does your service HAVE to call home other than to spy on me or try to upsell me crap (and i can check for updates when I want them, not when you introdu
When is Sonos going to make iPhone 16e compatible with true play ? The iPhone 16e has been out for awhile now so what's the excuse to why it's still not able to do true play yet?
Hi, I would like to change my username in the Sonos app. Can someone help me with that?
I know this has been talked about a good bit, but wanted to put in my 2 cents. I prefer the ‘tighter’ bass sound of the sub mini vs the full-sized sub, but would also like to have the bass more balanced in my room. Due to my space, the sub mini is on the far right side and the bass level is quite different when you’re sitting on that side vs the other side. End result, one part of the room has a little ‘too much’ bass, while the other side of the room has a little ‘too little bass’.Having the ability to add a second sub mini would be a great solution to this. I’m ready to spend my money, Sonos, please add this feature to the sub mini :)
As a Sonos user for over 10 years, purchasing and, for the most part, enjoying close to 30 Sonos wireless speaker devices in that time (Play1, Play3, Five, Soundbars, Beam, Sub, ARC, and Era 300s), I have finally come to the stark realization - it's over. Sonos is no longer what it used to be. It is not what it was meant to be. It is not what the original designers dreamed SONOS could have been, and very nearly was… perfect. The Sonos app and ecosystem are now flakey, unwieldy, unresponsive, heavy and no longer the awe and joy I used to amaze friends and family with. Here is why… Money. More specifically, monetization. The primary, key flaw with the new SONOS app and ecosystem is that what used to be a private, on network wireless audio control system is now a cloud based controller system that requires a round trip to Sonos servers to process, collect and finally respond to what you have asked the local system to do.Volume up? Send the request out across the Internet to Sonos server
We have about 12 Play 1 speakers separated in 3 floor offices, all controlled via the Sonos app with a single account. The issue is that users, instead of playing the Group that correspond to their area, they keep going to the main sonos system and start messing up with the music in all of the offices Is it possible to have a separated account on the sonos app per group? so they don’t interfier to one another? Thank you!
I have an inherited a Sonos Zone player 100 . O factory reset it. But I tried to register with the wrong App. Now the correct app says email already in use ! So i cancelled my account. But now it says wait till July 6th! advice welcome please
