Hello Sonos gurus, my current setup in my 2 room apartment is:Android phone playing YouTube Music/TuneIn/whatever via BT Bedroom has a Como Audio Solo + Como Ambiente, forming a nice little stereo setup which recieves BT and duly plays the audio Living Room has an Aiyima D03 BT amp, which recieves the BT audio and powers 2 small but powerful-enough-for-me bookshelf speakersIt works just fine, except that I’m always moving between the rooms, and hence am always disconnecting & connecting the Como and the Aiymima on my phone. This is very tiresome.Hence, I am very interested if 2 Connects could be grouped together in order to play audio in both rooms without the faffing around. This seems a great fit for me if possible as I get to leverage my existing audio hardware.Since I’m a total Sonos n00b, I don’t really know where to start when determining if this setup is feasible and hence a few pointers / links would be fantastic.Cheers.
HelloQuite often questions are asked in the community about the proper installation of In-Ceiling speakers. Sonos provides general installation guidelines reference their Architectural In-Ceiling Speakers made in collaboration with Sonance. At best it’s somewhat pedestrian in nature. Below is a link to a PDF prepared by Smart Home Sounds in the U.K. that goes in-depth on the subjects you see below the link. Ironically they are Sonos centric; but also mention other brands as well. You’ll even see pictures of the Sonos Amp as an integral component in the installation. Sweet!! 😊I feel confident in recommending this as a must read if you are considering in-ceiling speakers for your home. Enjoy!Note: I have no connection of any sort to the company. However, in keeping with Sonos Community Rules of Conduct please beware there is a link in the PDF to their website which contains advertisements and products for sale other than Sonos. https://smarthomesounds.sirv.com/live-wordpress/2019/03/C
Afternoon! I’ve got a Play5 Gen2 with a bunk Wi-Fi chip. Works great over ethernet or if I have a WiFi mesh node within 1ft of it. Currently, it’s running over Wi-Fi with a mesh node next to it. As far as the Sonos ecosystem is concerned it’s on Wi-Fi and working fine. I was considering adding a second as a stereo pair, but my concern is that the pairing will require Sonos Net which means it likely won’t work with the bad Wi-Fi card. Will the stereo pair work strictly over my home Wi-Fi? Or does a stereo pair of Play5 Gen2 do the stereo pairing via Sonos Net?
I would like to know how can I aligned the Bose’s bar with the sonos speakears to control d severas spaces in the house this connection could affect the high fidelity quality?

Hi I’m thinking of trying sky Glass TV could anyone tell me if my Arc will connect to the sky glass tv ?
I have an Samsung TV with 1 HDMI input, 1 Display port Out, RCA analog out. The HDMI input is used for Firestick. I purchase several analog to digital converts and none provide audio to the Sonos Beam. Is there a solution for older TV with analog audio out to connect to Sonos Beam?
Hi, My daughter got the ProJect T1 with a Sonos 5 speaker last year. Honestly I thought this was just a whim for her and we end up with it in a few months. But - that has not happened. She loves it - and now we’ve all started to love listening to vinyl ( and amazing to me - how it sounds over Apple Music streaming.) It sounds great even when we send it to our paired set of sonos ones and sub mini in the living room. So know we are going to purchase a new turntable for the living room and I’ve been down the rabbit hole of upgraded turntables and speaker sets. I think I like to get the ProJect Debut Pro or Pro S. The five is an awesome sounding speaker - but will the quality match the higher end turntable - or should I plan to connect it to a better pair of wired speakers and connect it of our Sonos system through the Amp. And a further question - if we go with the five and end up buying a pair for stereo - do we need to wire them both to the turntable? Thanks for any advice! I’m not

Can I take an optical audio signal from a new tv and input into sonos zp80
I’m trying to delete a duplicate account so I can change the email on my existing account. Can you do that?
I would like to buy a third party subwoofer to add wirelessly to my Sonos one amp which powers two wired ceiling speakers. Does anyone know if this is possible and if so which subwoofers will work? I.e. can I buy any subwoofer that has WiFi connection?
I have a new Move 2 (which is great--I am already thinking about getting a second one!) and want to maximize the battery life (not how long it can charge, how long the battery lasts before needing replacement). While I like the option of portability, I think the Move 2 will spend a lot of its life on the charger. Should I drain the battery sometimes and if so, how often? Any other tips for getting the longest battery life possible?
Hi,Today I have added an Sonos Era 100 to my setup at home, I already had a Sonos One.Now I’ve read and googled until I was crossed eyed but for the love of my I just don’t seem te be able to play everywhere.I’ve found a manual stating I should go to the System and Then the box on the right where i can select “everywhere” or create a new group but I just don’t get that menu option.Anyone experienced that before? Screenshot below :-) p.s. I just got the message there’s a new update coming may 7th, should I just wait that one out? Thanks everyone!Cheers!Sonny
I have two Sonos systems in my house, both on the same network. One is called Kitchen and the other is called Dining Room, I can switch between them using the Spotify app but I don't know how to switch between them in the Sonos app. How do I do that?
Hi guys, I am helping my friend with his Sonos purchase and well I wanted your opinion on the 2 proposed setup: Setup A: Zone 1: Kitchen/Living room combined → Sonos AmpZone 2: Dining Room → Sonos AmpZone 3: Family room (Arc sound bar + Gen 3 sub) This setup visually looks better and has a steeper price tag, main concern is , is it an overkill? also if 5-10 years down the road he moves, well the in-ceiling speakers stay! Total: 10 in-ceiling speakers | 2 Sonos Amp | 2 Era 300 | 1 Arc Soundbar | 1 Gen 3 Sub Setup B: Zone 1: KitchenZone 2: Mid-Kitchen Zone 3: Living RoomZone 4: Dinning Room (group the 2 Era 100 with 2 Era 300) Zone 5: Family Room (identical in both plans)Main benefit, cost is lower as Era 100s are cheaper and no Sonos Amp is required, in addition if he moves, he can take the speakers with him! PS) I would have suggested to replace 2 of the Era 100 with Era 300 but with his floor plan, there is no way to place the 300 in such a way that their “top” is going to be clear!
Looking to put ceiling speakers in our kitchen remodel. space is roughly 27’ long by 15’ wide. Can I get away with just two speakers in this room? I was thinking one on the right side in between the island and cabinets, with a second speaker closer to the dining table. Would this be sufficient or do I really need 4 in this space? I do not need sound over the stair area on far left. The kitchen is an open concept and leads into a living room with a vsaulted ceiling. There is a sonos soundbar in that room and I have no plans to add additional speakers in there. I appreciate any input!!
Hi, I have a samsung smart TV with Sonos sound bar, Sonos subwoofer and era300. I can only link the soundbar and subwoofer or the subwoofer and era300, not all three at the same time. I click on set up stereo pair and the set cup surrounds options but haven't been able to troubleshoot the issue. Do I require 2 of the era 300 speakers to work as surrounds/stero pairs? I was of the opinion I could have the TV with sound bar and subwoofer beneath it along with a era300 off to the rear side of seating area but perhaps this is not correct? Appreciate any assistance.
As a custom integrator I feel very strongly that Sonos should have an app on the Apple TV device. I understand that Sonos wants to be able to manage every aspect of their ecosystem but since 99% of my installs has an Apple TV, I think Sonos should offer a paid app to stream directly from the Apple TV. Some clients don’t want a universal remote and just want to use the Apple TV remote, and some control systems don’t work well with Sonos (I’m looking at you Control4). So to me it looks like a niche Sonos can profit from. Make it less than $50 per Apple TV device and I guarantee I can sell that as a line item in every bid. Make it possible for me to purchase licenses and install them in-app and we’ll be good to go. Maybe it’s too much to ask for or perhaps Sonos’ licensing deals with streaming services aren’t able to extend to a third-party device, but I’d be very happy to see this developed one day.
Scenario: I work in an agency where Sonos speakers are used in 3 areas. There are 4 Sonos One speakers in one area. 4 Sonos One speakers in another and 3 downstairs. We’ve even got a Sonos Five somewhere. These speakers are all on the same WiFi network but are grouped together in their respective areas, with individual speaker names and each area controlled independently of each other via 3x separate iPads.Problem: When listening to a Spotify playlist in one area, the music might change to one of the other areas choice and the volume spike to MAX. Even though no one has touched either iPad or speaker. We try to turn the music off or down and it just jumps straight back again. We’ve tried setting volume limits to ‘ON’ and at 40% on each speaker but although that seems at first to work, soon defaults to ‘OFF’ and back to maximum volume. We try tapping ‘pause’ on the top of a speaker but it starts again almost instantly. This happens randomly, and things can be fine for a few days but the
Well, what is missing is the ability to pair two Arc.The second one you would flip upside down so aesthetically they would fit perfect together.I have one Arc and two Sonos Sub gen3.I don’t want to add Five on left and right side. It will look to “much”.But to add another Arc, so these two together operate like my two Sonos sub does.So cool and nice looking! Agree?
Title says it all:Re the recent update: Will this brick any of my equipment?
So lots of articles about new application but not available yet?so when will it be? 😊
I might be missing something, but I thought a key selling point of Sonos Radio HD was the lack of advertising. I detest adverts interrupting music and I’m usually happy to pay to avoid them. I’m currently listing to Rock Road Trip, offered specifically for Sonos, and I am hearing adverts - adverts for Sonos Radio HD! The irony is not lost on me.Is there an issue with how this works, or is this to be expected? If the latter then I’ll be unsubscribing. Thanks Jim
Is it possible to downgrade from an Arc to ex Beam in Sonos upgrade program?
