I have 4 play 3s and a play one. We recent upgraded our wireless system. Now the sonos only works when one speaker is on the wired network. If I try to reconnect to wireless I get an error from the app.
So I’ve just now started investing in Sonos but I have this home surround I want to be able to use with sonos multiroom and also maybe use as tv Audio and perhaps connect more sonos speakers to work with it … but mainly connect to sonos multiroom so I can listen to music with all my other sonos devices. What do I do? And also can I add sonos speakers to my tv setup?
Almost exactly a year ago I posted this same question on this forum. https://en.community.sonos.com/topic/show?tid=6863655&postid=16569705The suggested answer, which worked, involved being sure that TV Auoplay was selected in the Beam settings. What incited the problem last year was playing music via AirPlay from my Mac.Now, a year later, it has happened again. I played some music from my Mac on the Sonos using AirPlay. My Dish Remote suddenly stopped controlling the volume coming from the LG TV via HDMI ARC to the Sonos Beam. This time, TV AutoPlay was already on.The only way I can controlled the Sonos volume is with the LG TV remote.I would appreciate any suggestions re how I can return control of the Dish to TV volume to the Dish remote.Clearly, something about playing music via AirPlay to the Sonos disrupts something in this complex Dish-LG TV-Sonos ecosystem!TIA againCaroline
I added my music library to my Sonos app. It’s located on g:\music.Where is the actual library file located on the file system? Is it an XML file, or a text file?
I just received an ARC and am enjoying it but I have one nagging issue - when I play Spotify through my google TV, or directly through the sonos app, the music is very quiet. If I play it through the Xbox x Spotify app, it’s a good 20-30% louder. Am I missing something? I can just use my Xbox but the google tv is what I use the most. The Xbox shows up as Dolby digital 5.1, and the other two come up as stereo pcm - could that be why it’s louder on the Xbox? I’m really at a loss.
I just set up a new LG 77 inch C2 Oled with an Arc, Sub (G3) and 2 One SLs, but everything is showing up as Stereo PCM, whether from my Apple TV, Xbox Series X, or PS5. I’m new to Sonos (and LG), so I apologize if this is a stupid question.
Just started with Apple GarageBand music production software. Bummed to learn that I can’t use my Submini and pair One SLs as my “studio speakers” because of Airplay latency. If I connected the Mac Studio via HDMI to Sonos Amp to then play through to the Submini/pair One SLs, would that solve the delay problem? I’m thinking it would not, because even from the Sonos Amp, I’m then dealing with “streaming” via wifi and I’ll have the same delay.Any ideas? Thanks!
Are there any standards to what kind of adds Sonos accepts on Sonos Radio. There is a porn add running on danish Sonos by a compagny called Sinful. Are there adds on payed Sonos Radio ?
I recently upgraded some of my old Play:1 speakers to the New Play One and assumed that i could re-use my existing Flexson adjustable speaker Stands. I was wrong. New stands supplied by Flexson are universal and they will fit but i don't want to have to buy new stands. Is anyone aware of anywhere of where i could just obtain the speaker holder/ base that fits to the top of the stem? I have looked at the instructions for the old one and the new one and they look like they use the same fixing method to the top of the stem. So i believe this is all that is needed. However i have spoken with Flexson support and they don't supply that bit. Is any one aware of a solution that allows me to re-use my old stands or aware of any where i can get the speaker holder/base ?
I am a European citizen and have a Tidal account, which works. After this I moved to Japan, but I am still paying to Tidal with my European payment method. (Please don’t ask whether Tidal works in Japan, of course it works, it is a streaming service over the Internet and Internet is available in Japan. The whole point is that you cannot purchase Tidal subscriptions with a Japanese payment method, that is all, because Tidal does not have a legal representative here.)I can use Tidal without any problems in Japan. But I cannot link it to Sonos - why?I think it is NOT the job of Sonos to check for availability in a country, but Sonos should allow legit account users of Tidal to use Tidal with their Sonos products. We are in the 21st century, people are moving between countries, and it is not up to Sonos to restrict this. If Tidal wants to restrict access to its service from Japan, then they will do it. So please stop playing police without the need for it. Thanks
I use Spotify and Amazon Unlimited as music sources. If i go to their web pages and search for something, say “Rolling Stones” i get lots of results. From the Sonos mac desktop app I get nothing or perhaps 1-2 albums. This happens for Bach, Mozart, and just about any other search. I’m on the latest desktop app. I see the same issue with Amazon Unlimited and Spotify. Any ideas? I spent an hour with Sonos Support who said that Sonos has known problems with music sources and maybe they will fix a bug sometime. Anyone have suggestions?
I have the Arc + Sub + 2x Ones setup as a surround system. Which is great for TV. But for music I can’t for the life of me work out how to turn off the Arc soundbar so it doesn’t interfere with the stereo presence of the Ones + Sub.I’ve triedsetting Ones to “full” (not “ambient”) setting "Music Level" in "Surround Audio" to be +15But I can stil hear the Arc.Furthermore if I turn up the Ones to +15I have to pump the Sub to +15 AND the Sub still gets lost so I have to boost bass in EQ as well and then it sounds 'off' AND if I don't reset the Sub and bass EQ to 0 each time then the next time someone watches TV (think kids in the morning) the whole house shakes. AND I can still hear the Arc.So that's not workable. How do I get just the Ones in stereo + Sub for music playback? Surely I don't have to disconnect/reconnect the whole surrount system and re-do Trueplay each time I swap between listening to music and TV do I?? Please tell me I’m missing something! Thanks for your help everyone.
I know there was another thread here 4 years ago with no much traffic, hopping now both sonos and beatport are more mainstream and ready for an integration.
hi everyone, just got my new sonos set up, went full in. arc, sub, 2 1’s for rear (along with a couple others for house).so far I am loving it, however I cannot seem to figure out how to get atmos (always showing pcm 5.1)I have an 85 inch Sony x900f which has an e-arc input. what am I doing wrong? Netflix & Prime shows audio as only 5.1 when browsing any title. Xbox audio settings say “dolby atmos for home theatre (hdmi only)”This might help explain better…..Peaky Blinders on the Netflix app built into tv shows 5.1Peaky blinders on the Netflix xbox app shows atmos ………. why? and how can I fix this? I would prefer not to have to run Netflix thru xbox to get atmos sound when available. thank you to anyone who replies! hope everyone has a wonderful holiday!
Amazon Music Unlimited has a “play similar music” feature on artists, albums, songs, and playlists within the Amazon Music App, but I can’t seem to find that feature when I go to Browse → Amazon Music within the S2 App. Does this feature exist in S2?
My computer is my main entertainment hub, my large monitor is basically also my TV. I want to get a pair of nice bookshelf speakers and I’m looking at the KEF LS50 Meta’s. I’ve narrowed my amp choices to the Sonos AMP ($700, 125w), the NAD C700 ($1,600, 80w), or the Denon PMA-150H ($1,000, 70w). I’d prefer the AMP because not only is it the cheapest, it’s also the most powerful. I’ve done a fair bit of searching prior to posting. I know using an AMP with a computer “is not the intended purpose” but beyond that I’m curious about the delay. I understand that when GROUPED, the minimum delay is 75ms, which can cause lip sync issues. However, in my use case, I would just be using wired bookshelf speakers, UNGROUPED, with the optical out of the computer to the optical to HDMI converter into the AMP. From this thread, buzz said:When SONOS players are “Grouped” there is a 75ms latency. The latency is reduced to about 30ms for the TV connected to PLAYBAR/BEAM/ARC/RAY/PLAYBASE/AMP. My quest
Hi! I just got the full streaming version SiriusXM platinum, downloaded app on iPhone and wanted to connect to Sonos. In Sonos app under Add a Service tab the list does not contain SiriusXM. I see in forum there have been a lot of issues here. Help please
We have multiple existing Sonos products and have just purchased an Arc to use with the new TV we are purchasing. We want to get a Samsung, as we use Philo as a streaming service and they support it in their Apps, where no other TV maker does. We are looking at a SAMSUNG 75" Class QN850B-Series Neo QLED 8K Smart TV - QN75QN850BFXZA at Sam’s club. It is a 2022 model, and it is not a FRAME TV. I am aware of the issues with older Samsung TVs and Arc, and just want to make sure they have been resolved before I move forward with purchasing this TV. Thanks in advance for any help with this!
So I just purchased both a sonos one (gen 2) and an audio Technica lp60 turn table. Is it true that if I purchase a Sonos roam speaker I can pair it to the turntable and then pair with the Sonos one?
Hi,Recently purchased a brand new sealed Sonos Arc and upon opening, I’ve noticed some oil/grease marks on the side grills. I spoke to the retailer who is well known in the UK and a swap was arranged. Just opened the new unit today and the same issue. The retailer has been sent the pictures and they are going to swap it again for me tomorrow.Anyone here experienced similar issues? It’s annoying as I’ve never had issues with Sonos and the packaging was intact on both deliveries including all seals etc. Thanks.
As the title says, I search for an artist, I get a list and click on one but it plays something else entirely! What’s going on?I have a paid up subscription yes.
Wondering if anyone is having problems using direct control from the Pandora app to Sonos? When I choose the “casting” feature in the lower right corner of the Pandora app I’m presented with a list of “devices” that I can cast to. I have no problem with google devices, but when I choose a Sonos target I have problems. At first the music gets sent to the Sonos device, but after a few minutes the controls in Pandora become unresponsive. When the song finishes and the next song begins, the Pandora app does not update, but continues to show the screen for the previous song. At the bottom pf the Pandora app screen I see a message “Buffering...Your music will be back shortly”. At this point the app has lost communication with Sonos and remains unresponsive. The only way to reset is to start a different station from Pandora. This problem is the same across multiple iOS devices, phones and iPads. I have updated all apps, uninstalled and reinstalled pandora and sonos. Also restarted mode
AngeMod Edit: Google Translate- Hello, I have a set of components running SONOS S1, so a CR200 remote control which for 2 week
Request for technical assistance. I have one Sonos Move and I bought a second one for the stereo. I can't set it up because in the S2 app I installed on my Android phone, when I try to sign in to my sonos account it shows me the message 'try again' again and again and doesn't even get to the screen where I enter a username and password. Likewise when I enter the system - add product. It asks to sign in and continues to bring me to the Try again screen again until he exits. And it also happens to me on the iPad that I try to connect to the same network. I tried to go to a completely different network, at my place of work, and on the other network the application succeeds in connecting and signing in, so I connected to my account on the other network, but when I returned to my network and tried to install the Move, it tells me that it is trying to check if the application is updated (it is) and it cannot go beyond that. It throws me out, something in the access to the Sonos servers from
