Talk Sonos Products

So I'm not special or anything lol, just wanted to put out there what would make me buy more Sonos.  Seems a new product is on the way, and some recent new functionality.  None of which interests me in the least.  At least, in one case, without my top wishlist item. Btw my system = 2 Arc, 2 Fives, 1 gen 3 Sub, 8 One SLs. 1) 7.1 surround. Not even close to any other "want".  Here's the benefit for Sonos.  I but 2 more Ones for my main theater setup, (already have 5.1 with the Arc and Ones) and at that point more likely than not I buy a second sub since it is now supported.  (But ZERO chance I buy a second sub without 7.1) In addition, for my second theatre setup - another Arc, 2 more Ones (have a couple down there but they can be moved elsewhere should I go with a different brand for that setup - which won't happen if, well there's that pesky 7.1 again).   Add a sub, or even two and another Arc.  So there's another 3k.2)  DTS.  I know, never gonna happen is the chorus.  For theater room

hello, is it possible replace the top of my sonos beam? there are some scratch over it… is it possible to find the top somewhere? Sorry for my english...

I generally listen to Pandora. 2 deficiencies in the Sonos App have led me to abandon it in favor of Airplay:Inability to play on my Mac speakers (which is nuts!)  Lack of Thumbs up/down support for Pandora on Apple Watch “lyd” app.  

We have about 5 rooms (including an outside deck) where we want to install wireless speakers. Where do I start? What do I need to buy?

Whilst watching Netflix via the TV app on my Panasonic Gz1000U oled, the sound randomly crackles and skips. Sometimes I can watch it perfectly for hours, then it starts again. It’s only via the Tv app, no other sources produce this. I just want to know if anyone else experiences this or if it is a TV issue. Diagnostic 494977665

Hi allHoping someone might have a suggestion here as I’m losing my mind on this one.I’ve had a Playbar for many years with no issues.  About 6 months ago we added a Samsung Q950 TV and wall mounted both TV and Playbar.  Since then both TV and Playbar have worked fine - no issues - with the TV’s ‘smart’ remote happily controlling the Sonos volume.  The Playbar is connected by optical, which I believe is the only option.  The TV displays Sonos/Optical and an animated +/- as volume on the Playbar changes.  All good.A few days ago, the smart remote suddenly stopped controlling the Playbar volume.  I’ve tried many things to restore it:Power cycle the TV Power cycle the Playbar Factory reset the TV and reconfigured Checked for TV firmware updates that might have changed functionality - none recently Confirmed nothing is blocking either the IR window on Playbar or IR emitter on TV Confirmed I can still control the Sonos volume using a different IR remote/emitterCrucially, this model of Samsun

Hellomy set up is a beam soundbar and 2 Sonos one speakers that have set  as surrounds in my tv roomI have added everything to my tv room in the app which I assume is correct.I am slightly confused about the ungroup on auto play setting.I have the tv auto play setting to on which enables the sound to come out of the Sonos speakers when I turn the tv on but not sure what setting to use on the ungroup option.all speakers are in one room which is called tv room .any advice would be very helpful.thanks   

I am thinking of migrating from my marantz 1610 receiver + Dali oberon 1 speakers to a sonos solution for the living room. I do not intend to get the sub as I live in an apartment and I like to avoid disturbing neighbours. I may add two sonos ones for surround but I am going to start simple. I would be grateful for some info /  feedback on a few questions.ComparingSonos amp + a pair of stereo speakers (e.g. Dali oberon 1)vsArc on its own1) Is (a) significantly better for music listening (I use Tidal & Apple music)?2) Does the sonos amp offer the same sound customisations as the Arc when used with TV: Night mode, speech enhancement?3) When using the Amp with TV (no sub or surrounds), is the dialogue clear and easy to listen to?4) Is there a way to set different EQ settings for TV and Music listening (Arc and Amp)? Hi all,  I’ve got a playbar, sub (gen 2), and two play:1’s as the rear surrounds in my downstairs family room. I have a 3rd party sub (Hsu Research VTF-2) that I haven’t used in ages since I “upgraded” to a sonos system. I’ve since then gotten an arc in my upstairs entertainment area. I’m thinking of either 1) adding the 3rd party sub to the arc, or 2) moving the sub to pair with the arc and adding the 3rd party sub to the playbar/play:1 combo. Anybody with experience doing this? What equipment would I need? Amp? Connect? I had thought about selling the 3rd party sub but figured that I could make use of it in one of the two rooms! Thanks in advance for any tips or advice!

Hi, I am thinking of buying a beam 5.1 surround set (beam, 2x one sl and sub) for my TV and general music. If I set this up to all come on with my tv, can I use a voice command to play music through this without the tv?Then if possible, how difficult is it to play music with the beam off?And how difficult is it to configure the two one sl’s to play loud music rather than background surround sound? Thank you.

I purchased two Moves with the intent of creating a stereo pair of portable speakers. Fine on WiFi. Bluetooth is a whole different story. I should have paid closer attention to the specifications - specifically the FAQ. The whole point of getting two Moves was to take my music outside and on the road where there is no WiFi. I am very disappointed in Sonos at the moment. There is an old guideline in product design/development: if you can’t do something fully and completely to what the average customer will expect, don’t do it until you can.To the Sonos engineers and product management folks: engineering a pair of speakers to work as a stereo pair over bluetooth is very possible and has been accomplished many times. I have a pair of very high quality JBL Flip4s which work nicely in stereo mode while connected to my phone in Bluetooth mode. If you are interested in the rumored details including images, pricing, specs etc. just search for it and it’s all over. Sucks that it popped early as it’s like being told what you got for Christmas before you are able to open thise special Santa gifts. 

I have recently paired an LG CX OLED TV with a Sonos Arc - a popular combination and I get Dobly Atmos!  I added two sonos Ones for rear speakers.  I have an existing subwoofer that has an 18inch driver and was brilliant in a former setup, but I’ve discovered there is no way to get an audio signal out to use it, let alone a 5.1 sub output. There’s a confusing number of conversations around this, but I’m starting to understand that a Sonos PORT is the only way I can now get an analogue or digital output to work with.Question: is that true? Hello everyone,    I recently purchased a Sonos Arc to accompany my Philips PUS8204/12. I have noticed a rattling / crackle at certain times watching blu ray movies. I have a case open with Sonos and senior sound engineers are checking the issue. It seems very similar to the issue found in the Bose forum https://community.bose.com/t5/Home-Theater/Bose-Soundbar-500-rattle-crackle-with-Dolby-Digital-Source/td-p/207427/page/6   I first noticed the crackle listening to blu ray (Hans Zimmer live in Prague - inception time). This was very audible and my family and I looked at eachother worryingly all noticing the strange noise. The same issue occurred watching the Conjuring 2 even at low volumes. Both were receiving Dolby atmos signal as shown in the app. Things I have tried below; changed Xbox one to Panasonic blu ray player issue persisted  changed HDMI cables issue persisted downloaded the same movie (conjuring on rakuten - no crackle but not sure of the audio output) changed the

I wish to buy a pair of Play:5 gen 2 speakers (white) and am advised that they are best mounted vertically.  However, I seem unable to find a suitable wall mount. I contacted Flexson, who did make one, but it’s been discontinued due to very low demand.  Not having brackets is a showstopper for me. Does anyone have any ideas?

I have a home surround sound system (non-sonos) in my theater room.  I want to tie it into my Sonos eco-system.  I believe the Port and Amp will achieve this.  In the future I want to get an amp for my front and center speakers.  Can I kill 2 birds with one stone with the amp?  If so, is the amp a good choice for my front speakers?

Please add support for additional surrounds and Atmos speakers in the ARC ecosystem. While bouncing Atmos off the ceiling is a decent method. Having ceiling mounted Atmos channels would be fantastic.  mike

Hi. I have a playbase and 2x Sonos Ones (surrounds) connected to my TV and I am very happy. I am keen on exploring vinyl and I am looking at a Lenco L-85 which is quite cheap at £115 which also contains a pre amp. What I am wondering is can I use my Sonos Ones as a stereo pair using a Sonos connect without disconnecting from my tv setup. 

Hi,I recently bought a Western Digital (WD) My Cloud Home in hopes of using it in conjunction with Sonos to stream a collection of live recordings that I have saved on a hard drive. The only option is to play these files from a hard drive as they are not recordings that exist on streaming services.I got the My Cloud Home set up and connected to my Sonos system and I can play files using the “My Cloud Home” music service that can be added to the Sonos controller.The problem I’m having, though, is that the Sonos My Cloud Home service only recognizes a some of the files in my collection, and many of the others don’t show up and are thus inaccessible.Does anyone know if there is another way to stream music files from a WD My Cloud Home device without going through the Sonos My Cloud Home music service?Thanks,Jon
