Hi! There have been some questions about this before but I have to ask ones more. I have an LG tv (65uf772v-zw) set up with Beam, sub and two ikea symfonisk. My tv is to old for having the Disney + app and I'm thinking of buying the new Chromecast with google tv. But... does anyone here att this forum know if I will get 5.1 with Disney +? If I read about my tv it have DD and dts decoder. Best regards/Calle

I’m wondering if it’s possible to stream Hi-Res music from the Tidal or Qoboz app to the Chromecast app in my Sony TV, to which is attached a Sonos Playbar, and hear the music in higher quality than if I used my Sonos S1 app to stream the music through Sonos to my Playbar.  Everything I’ve read on the Sonos website and in user forums is very confusing on this point, and I’d appreciate any advice.  Thanks!  

Hi, can anyone clarify whether my old Sonos Play:1s are compatible with the latest Beam (Gen 2), to create effective TV surround sound? TV is an LG 43UP81006LA. What would be the limitations of such a set up? Thanks.

I cant find my favourite radio stations. Why are you getting rid of the radio stations. So annoying. Time to move to another speaker. 

I was thinking about getting the Roam for two things both of which I only do occasionally: listen to music in the backyard, and watch a movie that is worth having surround sound for. But I’ve just found out the second use is not possible.I’ve read other posts about technical issues, things like “re-tuning the Trueplay” but since I’m Android, that’s a feature of my Arc I can’t use anyway. In response to a request for this on the Move someone said voice assistants would have to be disabled and re-activated every time - why not a temporary disable when put into surround mode? Got to be do-able surely?My problem is I’ve got no good place for a permanent rear speaker, so a portable speaker is the ideal solution: why can’t I have the option of using the Roam - even if there are some limitations? Add this feature and I’m getting one ASAP.

Hi,I am interested in jumping into the Sonos eco-system with the purchase of a Beam 2 to enhance my home theater experience. For now, I only plan to get the Beam 2 for financial reasons, I hope it will be great already (without subwoofer or surround speakers).Here is my projected setup:Epson projector ceiling mounted (HDMI connexion through ceiling/wall ntegrated plug/wires) Apple TV 4K (not the 2021 gen.) I have a 5.1 set up with my surrounds being two Ones. When I play music through an app like Spotify are the surrounds playing in stereo mode?  I'm assuming the best setting for this would be Full for the surround speakers?

I play 4K movies off a hard drive plugged into my Philips 65PUS6754/12 TV. I have sent up the surround system using an arc, a sub and two ones. Playing certain files off the hard drive there are sync issues that are not there when I just use the TV speakers. I know I can adjust the audio delay in the settings on the app but am struggling to get it 100% matched up. Is there any settings I can change or any tips to help get it perfectly in sync, thanks.

I just upgraded my Playbar to the ARC (and sub) and my TV to the Sony AJ80. I have been testing for a couple of weeks, and at this point I am severely disappointed with the terrible volume level of the dialogue/voices while viewing movies.  I have to constantly increase the volume to hear dialogue but then turn it down when something explodes. My sources vary from using the smart apps on the TV (Netflix, Plex, HBO Max, Prime, Hulu, etc.) to watching shows/movies using my cable provider COX. The worst is while watching movies with COX. The sound format from COX is Dolby Digital 5.1, and the results are terrible. I have run Trueplay and turned on Speech Enhancement, and fiddled with every setting on the Sony TV. There just doesn’t seem to be a way to enhance the dialogue volume. I was researching on the web and noticed several comments in other forums that the problem may be the TV and how it outputs audio. Thanks to advice in this community and others on the internet, I was able to easily connect my turntable (Fluance RT-80 with built-in pre-amp) to my existing Sonos home theatre system for an all-wireless solution.My Sonos system consists of a Playbar, two One speakers, and a Sub.  None of these have a line-in or RCA inputs for sound from the turntable.  Sonos states there are three solutions on its “How To Listen to Vinyl With Sonos” blog: you need a Five, Amp, or Port.  Each of these solutions is several hundred dollars - more than I wanted to spend.However, this ignores the Roam.  The small Bluetooth portable speaker is inexpensive (one-third the cost of a Five).  If I had a Bluetooth turntable, the Roam would have been all I needed.  However, my turntable does not have Bluetooth, so I needed to purchase a Bluetooth transmitter and a Stereo Mini to RCA Y-Audio Cable.  I chose the 1Mii ML301 Bluetooth Transmitter/Receiver, an inexpensive, elegant, compact, rechargeable (USB-C charging

I have a standalone Play 1 in my bedroom that does not connect to my wifi anymore. It worked fine for years, the problem started when I changed my wifi from 2.4 Ghz to 5 Ghz, and then after back to 2.4 Ghz (because I learned Sonos does not work well with 5 Ghz).The Sonos system in my living room is still working perfectly.I tried everything to make it work again without result:unplug power and restart reset to factory settings connect with ethernet cable to update sofware  reboot my routerEverytime when I try to connect the Play 1 to wifi using the steps in the Sonos app, I get the same message: “we could not connect the play 1 to your wifi”.The 2.4 Ghz frequency (active) and 5 Ghz frequency (inactive) have separate names in my router, so there can be no confusion in the system about that.Thank you very much for your suggestions :)

We have a new Sonos Beam (Gen 2) hooked up to our Samsung Smart TV. It works fine, but it makes a noise that sounds like a DVD player when a disc loads, kind if that spinning, wind-up sound. This happens when nothing is even playing (TV or music), as well as when when Pandora or my music library is changing songs. Is that normal? It’s kind of bothersome. Something I’ve thought about is that I THINK this happens mainly when I’m casting from my laptop to the TV. Also when I’m playing my music library, which actually comes from my laptop. Is that possible, and if so, is that to be expected?

I’d like to integrate my new bluetooth enabled turntable into my Sonos sound system-- which consists of two Sonos 1’s, the Beam, and the Sub (gen 3).  What is the easiest and and least expensive way to do that?  I cannot drop $400 on another Sonos device at this time.  I bought a refurbished Sony SRS-XB23 wireless speaker, hoping to pair it which my turntable (which it does) and then with the rest of my system, but I think the Sony is not compatible, right?

Hi all , I'm still getting audio jitter whilst watching sky+ hd , it happened yesterday , whilst it was happening I paused the programme and immediately played the programme again and the jitter stopped !! Then audio was fine , this issue hadn't appeared for 10 days , it could be another 10 days before it does it again ! It never did this with just the TV speakers , it only started since I got the Sonos ! I've found an audio clip on line that is 99% how mine sounds when it happens , unfortunately the guy who posted the clip didn't state a fix , 10 seconds in the issue starts .I have a diagnostic number 1154286223 guy at Sonos didn't seem that helpful tbh , here's the clip https://www.dropbox.com/s/34qcz19xg8dbab9/20180922_214658x2.mp3?dl=0 

While I wait for a dedicated cable, is it possible to connect a Beosound Ouverture Heaphone Socket to a SONOS Play:5 Gen 2 Line–In socket. Or is the output too weak?

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone knows how I should proceed. I’ve had a defective online order (beam 2) authorised for replacement, the item was returned and delivery is tracked and confirmed, but despite the original email stating this should take approx 5 days I’m now well over that. What concerns me is that my emails get totally ignored. Chat support advise me to email the Sonos support email address, but no one responds. Chat support says not their area, they can’t help. I’d hate to have to claim back through cc, or small claims court, but how long should I realistically just sit back and wait? At this point they have my money and I have no purchase. Apologies if this isn’t the right forum, just thought maybe you guys would know how to proceed. Thanks again. 

Good morning. Where I currently reside, the WiFi network has several Sonos devices connected that I’m not interested in seeing in my list of devices.  Can they be omitted somehow? Here’s what Im seeing from Spotify, and my Sonos account with only 1 device present: Thanks! Gio

It seems a shame that it is only possible to add two subs to a home cinema set up. Why not two Fives and two subs? 

I have 4 ceiling speakers, 2 fronts and 2 rears with each pair connected to a Sonos amp (so 2 amps total). I also have an Arc under the TV. Is it possible to have surround audio using all 4 ceiling speakers plus the Arc? So far I’ve been able to connect the Arc with the 2 rear ceiling speakers set up as surrounds, but can’t figure out how to connect the 2 fronts to the Arc and rears. Right now the 2 fronts are their own group, so I can play music through everything, but adding the fronts to the Tv setup doesn’t seem doable. Any suggestions?

Hi all, I have just set up a beam gen 2 with a pair of Sonos ones as surrounds. All is working well, however I would like to know, “if I turn off the surrounds in the Sonos app, does the surround content get switched back to the beam, or would I be missing that part of the sound”? I ask this as I would not always want them to be on. Thanks.

Not sure what is going on? Added another Sonos SL speaker to my system yesterday.  System1 SL Speaker2 Sonos one - first generation 5 Sonos one - second generation Sonos BeamSonos Booster All went well and setup was completed.  Played music the rest of the day.   This morning couldn’t get anything to  connect by means of the Sonos App.  I use Amazon music. Usual routineI select the music I like to play on Amazon music, usually on my iPad.Go to Airplay and select one speaker to play the musicThen go to the Sonos App and select where I want the music played on my system This morning I could get ALL the speakers to connect to Airplay but could not get any other speaker to connect within the Sonos App.' Re-bottled my router.  No difference.  Checked that all speakers where on the Sonos system (0).  No issues. Re-booted my iPad. No change I then went to Apple settings on my iPad.  Selected the Sonos App. Turned off background App Refresh and turn it back on again.    Went back into Amazon m

Hi, I’m building a game room and it will have (2) TV’s within the space (about 750 sq. ft.).  I was wanting to know if I could install (4) in-ceiling Sonos speakers and tie those back to the Sonos Amp (in a closet) and then have my TV’s connect to the Sonos Amp via WIFI or Bluetooth and listen to TV (or music) through the in-ceiling speakers?  In addition, I’ll have a RV garage adjacent to the game room with another TV and would consider installing 4-5 in-ceiling speakers in there for music and the TV.  I would assume I’d need a separate amp for this area since I may want to listen to music in the garage and have a football game on in the game room.  I hope this all makes sense and appreciate the feedback.  Thx
