Hi,Had a Beam connected for about 1 year with no issues,  always turn the TV off with the remote ( Sony Bravia)On turning it on this morning I didn't have any volume, on checking noticed it was set at zero so just turned it up, thinking nothing of it, upon turning the TV on this evening the same thing happened, I only have the Beam connected and that's via HDMI Arc.Also no Alexa.Any ideas ?Thanks.

When I’m drilled down into a music source, for example a song from the Music library, I’d like a way to quickly return to the Select a Music Source page. Is there one?

ASTC 3.0/NextGen is broadcasting with Dobly AC-4 format and not AC-3 or Dobly Digital .  I read  AC-4 is framed based audio and is not compatible to AC3 , DD or DD plus. How would  my  Sonos ARC handle this audio?  Most of the major cities or market will have ASTC 3.0 broadcast this years.  Seems  Sonos as a premium product  would need to add Dolby AC-4 support ?  

Hi I am interested in buying sonos for the first time and want to be able to play vinyl on a vintage turntable we inherited (1970s Pioneer PL-50).  We also have a Pioneer SX-9000 receiver, but we got rid of the speakers because we don’t want the bulk.  We would like to figure out whether we can connect this turntable to a sonos system, if so do we need to keep the receiver or buy a pre-amp, and then which Sonos component should we buy?Do I need the receiver? It is very complicated, with jacks that are marked “ Pre out and mixing rec.” “Main in” a toggle that says “Pre & Main  Separated Intercoupled” “Phono Mag 1, Mag 2, Aux 1” etc.  Seems like it would be easy to mess up and has much more capacity than I need Can a modern preamp connect to my vintage turntable? Given I have no speakers which sonos speaker should I get? The Five?Thank you!Kathy

I can get the system to play play Dolby digital plus 5.1 on these settings:TV - Multichannel (non-bypass)PS5 - HDMI set to AV Amplifier, number of channels 5.1, audio format dolbyAny other combination i have tried only get dolby digital 5.1 or stereo sound. Should i be able to get dolby atmos if playing from disney plus. Also am getting a sync issue no matter what the output is. Is the HD fury arcana my best option to fix this as i don't want to be adjusting it in the app. 

Hi,I have a question not easy to explain but I will try : I bought a sound at Arc connected to the TV on ARC output, a subwoofer, two sl one. I coupled these four speakers in the application, they are installed in my living room. When I listen music the sound is playing on all speakers but when I watch a movie a tv, or when I watch tv the same sound is not playing on all speakers, the main sound is playing on the sound bar and the other sound (the background music) is playing on the two sl one.i would like to ear the same the sound on all speakers all the time. Hi there, I am new to the forums and was hoping for some advice/guidance on the best way to set up my new beam gen 2. I appreciate this question has probably been done to death here so apologies in advance if this has been answered elsewhere. I am asking again as a lot of the answers I have found appear to relate to previous generation sonos products which I believe only had optical in and did not have HDMI in and I haven’t found any guidance specifically relating to the beam gen 2. The issue I am having is that the TV is old (from around 2014) and from testing and googling does not appear to passthrough DD 5.1 from external devices connected by HDMI (in my case a BT freeview box and PS4 used primarily for Plex rather than gaming). The sonos app does show DD 5.1 when using the built in netflix app which appears to confirm it is the HMDI passthrough on the TV, or lack thereof, that is the issue. A lot of the previous discussions on this suggest using an HDMI switch in order for audio to

I’m a long time Sonos owner (I have about 12 Play:1’s) just ordered a couple SL’s, had a Play:5 Gen1 pass through my hands and ordered a Gen1 Beam (used).  I’m a little bit of an enthusiast, having gifted a couple play:1 to my parents, the play:5 Gen 1, etc. I’m here to say hi, but to ask something:  In a large space, what do any of you feel is optimal arrangement of Play:1’s or Ones? The reason I ask this is that I have an open loft apartment. I have stereo pairs around in the kitchen, office, living room, but recently discovered that adding a single unpaired between the stereo pair added some kind of something that I liked a bit. It got me to thinking: Would I want to put all of my “left channels” to one side of the apartment and right channels to the right side? I wonder if there is any possibility that the Tuning feature could be enhanced to apply to pairs of speakers in a room to optimize the entire room into a single 360 experience of sorts? I’m expecting my LG Gallery OLED next week. I’ll be mounting it on the wall, as well as my Sonos Arc under it on the wall.If you’re familiar with the Gallery line of TVs, they have a custom wall bracket as well as channels to run the cables behind the TV that allow it to be mounted flush against the wall, so that it literally has a depth of 1 inch or so, looking like a painting on the wall. Similar to the Samsung Frame.I know Sonos recommends that the Arc be mounted 5.5 inches or more below a TV so the sound from the upward firing speakers is not impeded.  However, I’d like to mount mine more like 3-4 inches below the TV.I can’t imagine that a TV with 1 inch depth could block the upward firing speakers right?Seems like I should be fine.  Agreed?Thanks for any opinions.

I'm considering music services and Qobuz popped up. I primarily listen to 60s to 90s pop, with a bit of alternative tossed in. Questions: 1. How extensive is the pop and alternative selections?2. How compatible is the Quboz app with Sonos systems?3. Can Quboz music be downloaded to a phone for offline listening in a car?4. Is the Qobuz app or the Sonos app used to control music on the Sonos speakers?5. Are voice commands available with Quboz and Sonos?6. Overall, what's your opinion of the service?

When using the app on iPhone & iPad I’m having real trouble when scrolling - up or down, left or right - where the window keeps skipping back to where it started. Very frustrating especially when searching. Common problem with an easy fix or is it something more sinister?

Hi,I am moving into an apartment with limited possibility to place Rear speakers for 3.1 setup.Does it make  placing Sonos One in this setting - having both in the rear, but one properly placed on the right and the other one in the middle?I cannot place the left one in upper corner of the room as there will be a heavy curtain in that spot.Cheers,m  

Will Sonos One work the Sonos Arc far as surrond sound?

I know this had been discussed in prior posts, however, I’ll broach the subject again - are there any reasonably priced options for a sub that can be leveraged within the Sonos ecosystem other than the Sonos Gen 3 sub?  Also, has there be any further discussion on offering a more entry level sub from Sonos?  $750 for a sub has got to prices a lot of customers out of the market, including myself.  

Hi all, My setup consists of two Symfonisk speakers, stereo paired, and a Sonos Port. The Port has a line in from a Behringer sound card. The card is fed by a Raspberry PI and also has an analog line-in signal from the TV.I have set the Port to Autoplay line-in. When I start a film on Netflix (Chromecast connected to TV), the port is activated and sound comes up within two seconds through the Symfonisk speakers, which is good enough.However, if there’s a silent passage in the film, sound gets deactivated and it may take 5 seconds to activate again when signal is detected. Looks like Autoplay gets interrupted after a couple of seconds with no sound. Is there a way to prevent this from happening, other than manually switching input via the Sonos app?

Just an opinion but I find it odd that Sonos does not use its full number updates for major capabilities and enhancements. Not a complaint just weird to me. Hoping for abig update such as its own voice control but maybe soon. 

I have a Bose Lifestyle 35 with outdoor speakers and I would like to replace it with a Sonos system.  I understand that Sonos doesn’t have bundles and has mix and match, but I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions.  It looks like the Arc soundbar is what I will be getting, but other than that I haven’t the foggiest of what else.  I’ll have the home theater in one room which I would surround sound, while in another room I would like speakers for music as well as outdoor speakers for music.  My current outdoor speaker wires are not very good and would either replace them or have wireless outdoor speakers.  I’d like to be able to play music via Alexa and Apple Music.

I have a Sonos Port hooked up to my Denon S710W AVR via both analog and digital (co-ax) connections.  I used the included cables that came with the Port to hook up the analog feed and a new shielded coax cable from Amazon Basics  to hook up the digital feed.  I’ve tested both variable and fixed line out settings and issues sound occurs in both setups.Heres the problem. The sound out of the digital connection is much harsher and more nasal sounding than the analog connection.  This is true whether the output is set to variable or fixed and true even when the receiver “Pure” mode (direct two channel mode, minimal processing).  The analog feed sounds softer and more appealing with a bit wider stereo soundfield.  When I switch on Dolby Digital surround (which is the way I like to listen when Im moving around doing things) things really get uglty on the digital side.  It sounds echo-ey and harsh in a way that the analog feed run through the same DD processing does not.  I made sure that any

I just added a Sonos Move to my Sonos home Wi-Fi system. I took the speaker away from my home, connected an iPhone to it via Bluetooth and performed a Zoom meeting. I wasn’t able to control the volume of the speaker via the side buttons so I tried to connect to it via the Sonos application for iOS. However, the application displayed a “WiFi isn’t connected” error. Is there a way to manage a Sonos Move via the Sonos application when it is connected via Bluetooth and a cellular data connection? Otherwise how can this issue of controlling the volume be resolved?
