I recently purchased the arc ultra and it's amazing. I have 2 choices for my next purchase due to budget constraints.1. Sonos ERA 100 with Sub 42. Sonos ERA 300 with Sub Mini What do people recommend? Uses mainly for TV and sports. Medium sized room about 3ft from TV.
Hi everyone! I am not familiar with the new Sonos version. How can I find music by styles or song names, as well as radio stations by country?
Hey Sonos Community,I'm moving to a condo and could really use your help figuring out the ideal Sonos home theater setup. I’ve attached the floor plan so you can get a feel for the space — the main entertainment area is the “Great Room” (17’6” x 15’), which opens up to the kitchen, and dining area. Here’s what I currently have in my Sonos system: Beam (2020) Playbar Sub (Gen 1) Several Play:1s A couple Sonos Ones Roam I’m considering an upgrade (possibly to Arc or Arc Ultra) and want a setup that brings great surround sound and cinematic feel — but I also live in a condo, so I want to avoid going overboard with bass and volume.Would love your input on: Whether the Sub Mini might be a better fit than a new full-size Sub If Arc or Arc Ultra would be overkill for this space Best use of my existing Play:1s or Ones for surrounds Placement tips for a clean and optimal setup Thanks in advance! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
I have recently bought a Sonos five for a large room (5 metres wide by 12 meters long) and will look at putting this up one end of the room (its a Kitchen / Dinner) and the other other end i was about to buy a second Sonos 5 but am now contemplating with having 2 x Sonos era 300 as well as the Sonos Five? Im not a music guru but just want to be able to play the music off my Phone and have great sound and wondered what others would do / consider? The room isnt ready yet but will be in a few weeks and happy to spend the money up to another £800 if its worth it So to sumorise,2 x Sonos Fives or1 x Sonos Five and 2 x Era 300
I've read through the discussions here and it upset me that no one provided this easy solution. Listen Not everyone wants to stream FM/AM local broadcasts!!! Some people like myself want a simple TUNER connected to their sonos system so they can QUICKLY go to a local radio station. I had to look around and finally purchased a HD tuner by Sangean, I believe its the model 100. I also had the sonos Amp which I connected the tuner RCA outputs into the Amp. The Amp also has small wired speakers because I use this in my workout room. I get the best of both worlds with this setup! So sonos if they are smart will create a simple TUNER because not everyone wants to stream EVERYTHING!!! Make sense.????
Suddenly my Playbar connected via optical will not play TV audio. It’s not the optical cable. I’ve had this happen before and I was able to fix it but I can’t remember what I did. I have a LG tv. Any thoughts much appreciated.
When lyrics will be available in somos apps for Spotify ?
I just upgraded to a 2025 MacBook Air running Sequoia, and all of a sudden, the Sonos App is not available. It’s still on my older laptop, but I’d like to be able to control it from my new machine that I’ll be using most of the time. Any thoughts? I could download some third party app, but those have been a hassle in the past. The app is still fine on my iPhone fwiw. thanks!
I have a Beam Gen 1 and a One in my workout room. Is the ERA 100 , ERA 300, or Move 2 compatible with this Beam? I use it with my Peloton + bike (casted to my TV) and just want to up my exercise room. Appreciate it
Why is Sonos so protective of their stereo system? It's puzzling. Yes, I understand why. They believe they can. However, the market will inevitably demand a full surround sound experience from Sonos. One can endlessly praise Sonos for their streaming capabilities. They dominate that market. Unfortunately, that doesn't equate to true surround sound. At best, it's Sonos' interpretation of surround sound. They are betting that millions of people won't notice the difference. So be it.I'm frustrated because I have a beautiful Denon AV system alongside my Sonos setup. Integrating the two has been a disappointing experience. Yes, Sonos will point to their Port, but that's just a band-aid solution, producing stereo sound. There's no point in going on and on, but I wish Sonos would listen. HDMI is here, but they don't seem to acknowledge it. I don't know of any Sonos product that uses HDMI. Why? Perhaps they feel they don't need to.Maybe I'm just like Don Quixote, tilting at windmills.Disappointe
Hi, will this system work to not have a sound delay when playing tv through all speakers. Or does anyone have a better solution. I need recessed speakers to suit the room layout. Purpose is for ceiling speakers and playbar to play both music and movie without delay. The second pair of speakers will be on a volume control and usedfor music playing only.
Has any iOS app update removed the streaming quality in the app?if so, WHY??!!! Now I don’t know if the current song is being played using Dolby atmos or regular stereo!
I wonder if I can keep my newly bought Roam 2 wired at all times… or for most of the day, or if this practice could affect the battery life. TIA
It’s time that the software assists users with large local libraries . I know there are some workarounds, but sometimes I just want to browse and I don’t want or need to begin the browsing at the top of a very long list. Sure searching for something is easy when you know what you want, but if you feel like a bit of a flick through your collection, Sonos has made it impossible. Frankly I think users deserve better after the amounts of money they have spent on their equipment.
I’ve seen similar questions before but no actual solution. S1 system I’m trying to set up a new alarm to wake up with a specific radio station. I have other alarms in my home with that radio station, so it exists and works. I can find the radio station easily in a normal search and it’s added to Sonos Favorites. Bit when adding an alarm, I can’t select from favourites, only from some Byzantine menu of radio genres or by location which doesn’t show up my radio station in any obvious location (Smooth Hampshire in the UK, as it happens). Is there any way to find out where a radio station that Sonos knows about in ‘normal search’ is buried in the genre/location menu? Or some way to select a radio from Sonos favorites? Or copy an existing alarm and just change the room? Anything….?
Hi everyone. I tried to do some digging before posting, but unfortunately everyone’s room dimensions are different so it was hard to gather what is good for me or not. Question:I have a 2 story family room (approx. 20ft high flat ceiling) with a ceiling fan in the middle of the ceiling. The rest of the room is appropriate 14ft long x 12ft wide (couch would be placed approx 12-13ft from the Arc). I have a fireplace mantle that I would ideally place the Sonos arc ultra, at approx. a 4ft height, and it would be pretty dead center in the room on the back wall. Because of the high ceiling height, is the Arc largely going to lose a lot of its effectiveness with the upward firing speakers? Should I keep my play base or go with a beam and skip on the upward firing speakers? Or is it still by far worth it to go with the Arc Ultra?Additionally with the above, Era 100 or Era 300 rear speakers? I assume if I lose the effectiveness of the upward firing speakers of the Arc, that I should default to
We are looking into upgrading to our first Sonos system, I’m looking at an ARC ultra along with a sub 4 and two Era 300s as the rear speakers. Primary use will be movies. We don’t want to do speaker stands and we don’t actually have a wall behind the couch for another 20 feet. Has anyone ceiling mounted the Era 300s? I read that in the settings you can invert them but does anyone have a similar setup and can make recommendations. Does it work well for surround sound / atmos experience?
This is roughly the living room set-up we are working with, there’s no wall behind us, and we don’t want to do speaker stands. Does it make sense to ceiling-mount 2 ERA 300s where the red is? I want feedback from people with a similar set-up, curious on how the surround sound wokrs when paired with an Arc Ultra and a Sub.
Hello everyone,I would like to buy a Ray and a Roam 2 to:connect Ray on my TV, to watch movies and enhance tv audio have a Roam 2 AND the Ray connected to play music in sync, having the Roam 2 in another room, playing music from my Android phone (Sonos app)is this scenario possible? Or having the Ray connected to the TV only enable it to play music fro mthe TV?Moreover, if the previous scenario would be possible, can I add eventually a Era 100 to play music, in sync, also to it in addition to Ray and Roam 2 (3 devices simultaneously). Thanks!!

In my front room I have the following hardware that I would like to setup for TV listening. I know that it won’t be a true surround 7.1 system, but I have a separate home theatre room for that. I figure this setup should be far superior to the current little TV speakers, so…The hardware that I have is:Bookshelf speakers for fronts powered by a Sonos Amp (one of the current black ones). This amp is labeled “TV Fronts” (clever huh?).8” in-ceiling speakers powered by a second Sonos Amp. This one is labeled as “TV Rears”The TV is a few years old Samsung UN75NU6900F that does have an ARC HDMI port (#2).For a TV source, I use an Amazon Fire Cube for Hulu, Max, Netflix, Prime etc.I have attached an HDMI ARC cable from the TV’s ARC port#2 to the Sonos Amp “TV Fronts” HDMI port. The Amazon Fire Cube HDMI out is connected to the TV’s HDMI port#1.I have already downgraded both Sonos Amps to work with the S1 App (I have a lot of other Sonos Amps and Connects that won’t work with the S2 app (“Tha
Hi, I just bought the ace , sound is ok but I didn’t found the same whaou effect that I had with my Apple air pod pro2 Tested on Deezer with Bluetooth the sound seems ( for me ) low Even at 70% for now I’m pretty disapointed For music I use Deezer and vinyle on my AMP 2X125W and beam gen2 I look at the EVERSOLO DAC Z8 and his headphone amp , if I used my ace on the jack input will I have louder sond ?and a better sound with Deezer FLAC is 16/44 thanks
I’m planning to purchase 3 pairs of Sonos 8 inch In-Ceiling Speakers (INCL8WW1).Can it be powered by one Sonos AMP or do I need more to use the speakers upto full capacity?
I brought a Roam 2 in Green and it’s beautiful. However, I see the wireless chargers are only available in black or white. I can’t be the only one who would love to have one that matches my speaker? It seems like a no brainer to me, if you offer the speakers in a range of colours why can’t I have the accessories to match? Come on Sonos, any chance of making this happen? Please?
This is sooo frustrating! For quite few months now, I lost anything past the letter Q nor can I add anything back in my Sonos Favorites. I have tried many things, with no luck. The crazy part is, I found those favorites in the Tunein app under my radio shows and my radio stations! And if that were not strange enough, the Iheart app is listed under the Tunein app too!!!! Nobody at Sonos seems to give a damn that their long time loyal supporters of their products cannot enjoy certain features they once could. WHERE ARE YOU SONOS SUPPORT!!!!!
