Good morning. Have a couple questions on placement in my new apartment and my speaker choices. I was recently blessed to have been gifted four era 300 to me by my employer.  (I know.  Lucky me!).  Anyway, I’d like to use these as music and theater set up. I was originally gonna put that two in the living room and then one each space throughout possibly the bedrooms?  Reading through some posts on this forum I’m getting kind of confused.  I’m even thinking of selling two

of the era 300s that I have and getting either a beam two and a sub, or just an arc sound bar. Any insight or help I’d appreciate it thanks guys. Or if there are any other articles in the community to point me in the direction that would be great. I will send you a picture of my layout of my apartment.  I have 2 of the Era 300’s set up in my living room currently and they sound unreal!!

In order to have TV sound, you need a soundbar (Ray, Beam, Arc, Arc Ultra) or an Amp plus 2 third party passive speakers.  If you choose a Beam 2, Arc, or Arc Ultra, you can use the Era 300 pair as surrounds.

Yep.   I get that.   But how would streaming music sound on an Arc or Beam 2 with the era 300’s sitting behind the couch facing the TV?  Seems like a waste of the Era 300’s.

Stereo music sources are not optimal over a surround setup, that is for sure.  Though Atmos Audio music sources are outstanding.  Personally, I’m a purist.  So in my main viewing/listening area, I have an Arc Ultra, a Sub and two Ones for surround (no room for Era 300’s) and a pair of Fives for stereo music.

Set to Full Mode the 300s wouldn't be wasted.
