I don’t see anywhere on sonos mac os desktop app where i can select pre designed groups. i see it on the ios apps but not the mac os. can you see them on mac os. i can’t even see where i could edit or creat groups on mac os

The saved groups feature isn’t available on the Desktop app (either Windows or MacOS). The desktop apps aren’t receiving any new features that are added to Sonos but still remain available to perform tasks that the Sonos mobile app or web app can’t yet.
If you want to use this feature, then you’ll need to use the mobile app to manage the save groups, such as creating, editing, and deleting. Then, you can use this feature with the mobile app or web app. Our support article for Saved Groups has all the information you’ll need.

As the Sonos Web App is replacing the Desktop controller, new features will be added to that instead. Currently, we have no immediate plans to remove the Desktop controller until it the Web App is feature parity with it. Regarding the feature you mentioned, after you setup a saved group, it will show in the Web App for you to select and play to.
I would also like to note that the Web App would only be used to control Sonos, like the Desktop controller: You’ll still need to use the mobile app to manage your system.

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you.
After looking into this, it does seem like the Web App is missing this feature. I’m not sure if this is because the feature is supposed to be there, or that the documentation is wrong. It’s been flagged to the team to look into, and I’ll let you know when I hear back about the status of this feature. So currently only the mobile app can used the Saved Groups feature.

I haven’t heard back regarding this, however the web page for Saved Groups has been edited and the line for the web app was removed. If you want to use the feature, it’ll have to be with the mobile app for now.
I’ll mark this thread as a feature request to send to the relevant teams for their consideration. I think that using this feature to select your saved groups should also be on the Web App, even if configuring the groups is still mobile app only.
