I use the SONOS app on iOS.  When i deselect a speaker they all stop playing music or whatever and the app freezes and is unusable.  Any suggestions or help would be useful.  I had this system as it is supposed to be flexible etc and should not have to reboot the router or whole system every time i want to stop playing sound from a speaker.

My wife has some hearing problems.  We have an Arc and still most of the time she has trouble hearing the dialogue.  One of the problems may be that we sit very far away from the tv.  I am now considering another Sonos for the table situated next to her. Hopefully something small and out of the way.  What would you reccomend? Would this even help the situation? 

Ive been reading that Sonos is designed to connect to TV’s, not so much to Projectors.This is my epson 2250 https://www.amazon.com/Epson-Projector-Streaming-Enhancement-Interpolation/dp/B08GL4GB2MI have a Sonos Amp with two ceiling speakers and soon to be sub. Nothing is installed at this time.I read in another thread that I can use this box https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Audio-Stereo-Extractor-Converter/dp/B07KRWYN4R/ and the optical audio adapter https://www.sonos.com/en-us/shop/optical-audio-adapter to hard wire sound from the projector to the Amp.My Epson projector works with Fire Stick, and has an extra hdmi out.Do i attach the box to the spare HDMI on the projector, or inline with the Firestick? Any of that make sense? Thanks. 

Hi all!I’m about to dive in the Sonos ecosystem and buy the Arc + Sub Gen3 + Ones or Ones SL for surround satellites.Yet, I have one thing that keeps echoing in my head and gets me a bit reluctant: how well does that glossy finish of the Sub Gen 3 holds up with time?Being the sub a speaker that’s on the ground, it is prone to get hit in various situations, like when vacuuming the room, or other daily situations.I fear the glossy finish turns into a nightmare of scratches that would ruin the looks of it.How well does is cope with this?I deeply appreciate your inputs.

Hello all,I’m looking to improve the sound in my golf simulator room by using some of my spare Sonos play 1 speakers which I was hoping to link to my Denon 3700H AVR. I would be obliged if someone could take a look at the connections on the back of the AVR and advise whether this can be connected to a Sonos Port or similar and indeed how I would do so? The latest MacOS update to 12.3 appears to allow the connection to Apple Music. 

Amazon UHD subscription. In the Amazon app , when I select UHD music to play, on my S2 app ‘Now Playing’ doesn’t show any information regarding the format playing via the Arc.

Hello: What is the difference between the ARC model, the ARCG1EU1BLK and the ARCG1EU2BLK?

I’ve had my SONOS setup for a number of years.  Hell, I’ve even enrolled on the beta test programme (I wouldn’t bother if I were you...you don’t get anything back from SONOS other than so many questions and video “proof” of the issues one has with the software!  Even though I am retired I am having to spend HOURS of my time trying to get the bugs and limitations of the software ironed out...all for no reward!  My biggest issue is that the software seems incapable of coping with the volume of my music library (stored on a local NAS Drive/Server.  It can’t search more than 66,000 tracks, and causes all sorts of issues if I try and add another music library (for my classical collection, stored on a different network share!).  I realise this is all trying to direct me towards utilising a streaming service, but I have amassed my music collection over 40 years, so don’t see why I should pay a monthly subscription to have access to music, which I already own!  Is anyone aware of software whic

Hi guys, I have an issue with my Sonos arc with DTS audio, for example when playing a Harry Potter movie I have to change the settings to PCM in the bd player, and then the audio then works but it's only in stereo PCM which is a bit rubbish. My Samsung TV is only a couple of years old, but only has arc, not e-arc. The TV can handle dolby digital plus from what I can see in the TV settings. I tested with a Dolby Atmos movie played via Plex (TV Plex app), and the Sonos app said atmos, so it does seem to be able to cope with it. I also tested a DTS-HD movie in Plex, and I got sound, but Sonos app said it was Dolby Digital 5.1, which is weird. ​​​​Why can the Arc not handle DTS HD audio from my bluray player?​​​​​​I tried a new hdmi cable to a brand new 2.1 version, same issues. Lastly, my Disney+ app will only show 5.1 audio as well. When playing Netflix Dolby movies, app says DD 5.1 plus. Any advice appreciated!   

iPhone app says “unable to play the selected station”  on certain Sirius XM stations but computer app works fine.   Latest updates on Sonos and iPhone.

While the ARC bar was under warranty, it was damaged and now, they send me a reconditioned replacement bar... Well, I bought it NEW. Shameful that SONOS !! FOOLED ME !! ... and after more than 20 days without the ARC

The Connect Amp Gen 1 is cheap used by me.I have a good pair of JBL speakers, and several Sonos One and Play. rather than pairing (software, outdated) can I just run and Ethernet cable out of my Sonos One into a Connect Amp Gen 1 Ethernet port? And then the Amp can power the two speakers? thanks!

I have previously used the Amazon Prime Music service but have now taken up the offer of a free 3 month trial of Amazon Unlimited which offers 90 million songs, many of which are HD. My question is if my Sonos system of Soundbridge 100 and Zoneplayer 90 can handle the HD tracks. Also, is there any way in the Sonos app of seeing if a track is standard or HD ?

I apologize if this has been asked before, but this whole process has completely thrown me for a loop!  I was originally planning on setting up the Sonos Amp with 4 TIC B03 speakers and One TIC B55 amp, similar to the way that the Patio 4.1 system is configured.  I researched far and wide, bought the amp and 250 feet of 12AWG/4 OFC wire, and thought this was a viable combination.  Then when it came time to order the speakers, I went to re-calculate the Ohms and make sure I was buying something I could actually use, and now I am not so sure anymore.  Does anyone know whether this will work?  How do I wire the sub in w/out dropping below the 4 Ohm limit?  How does it work with the Patio 4.1 system when everything is 8 Ohms?  Do I run the + from one channel to the sub and the - from the other one?  Do either of the options in the attachments actually work without burning out the speakers and/or the amp?   

My Arc/Sub 1/rear Ones system used to work fine but now I can’t connect the rears. I’ve reset Ones and tried the suggestions in related posts. I was able to get the rears going without the rest of the system, but when I remove then Set Up Surrounds they won't play. Once they played for a second and then quit. They automatically assume the identity of Living Room 2 and Living Room 3, while they should both be subsumed in my Living Room (+Sub, Arc) system.The Ones, Five (new), and Beam 1 in other rooms work fine. I’ve had Sonos for years and have always been able to trouble shoot problems, but I’m at the end on this one.

The Problem:I have been trying to add a separate headset to be able watch TV later at night. I bought a and tried to add two different headsets, one BT and the latest one has its own base that BT back to the headset and the base connects to the TV via Optical output. The issue that is occurring is that when I select the Audio as Optical, it momentarily will turn on and then turn off with the Sonos System turning back onI have set this System up on (2) different TV’s which leads me to conclude a control issue with the SONOS Sound Bar itself. First the system:Sonos - Beam (Gen 2), Sonos - One (Gen 2)(2ea), Sonos - Sub (Gen 3) Connected to: LG - 77" Class C1 Series OLEDThere must be a way to allow another external sound system, ie headset, to work and put Sonos into ‘stand-by mode’Any help would be appreciated. 

With most of my speakers, the Sonos Amp has a nice flat frequency response, just a little rolled off after 15KHz which I can’t hear anyway. But some speakers can cause peaking in the frequency response (typical problem with Class D without post filter feedback). I think it happens with the Sonos Amp when speakers have a negative phase at high frequency. At least that is the difference I have with this problematic speaker (Carmody Overnight Sensations). Here is the frequency response (voltage measurement at amp’s speaker terminals). This might be why some people have reported that the amp sounds bright. I never really thought so even with these speakers, but still I would like to be able smooth out the peak with EQ, and the existing treble control doesn’t do so well. Please, please, you can give this to us!edit: oops, previously I showed a curve that was generated after treble was turned one notch down.

So the PC hosting my Sonos libraries died and I’ve had to reinstall my music on a new computer/Server which has a different name.   But the playlists have the old server name in the the path/source file info.  How do I fix the playlists I’ve created so that they will find the music in the new PC/folder.   For example, when I try to play my playlist it will say:\\OLDPC\Music\thriller.wav is missingI now need the playlist to  point to \\NEWPC\Muisc\thriller.wav in order to solve the problem.If I can’t edit the playlists I will have to spend an incredible time rebuilding them.Thanks!J

Would love for Sonos to collaborate with someone to develop headphones specifically to be used with the system and connected like a Sonos One speaker.  Anything like this in the works?  If not, do you recommend a headphone to use for nighttime listening that doesn’t take a technician to figure out?

When I view albums through my music library track numbers 2 to 11 are missing?Any ideas why this is happening? 

Hello, I’ve done some searching and just wanted validate if I’m correct in my thinking.  We are doing a full reno and I’m looking to put Sonos In-Ceiling into our main floor. I was curious on the following: I understand that I can put 6 Architect speakers connected to ONE Sonos AMP.  I know that those 3 pairs/6 speakers can only play ONE source of music.  With this setup, however, can I independently control the volume to different zones?  For context.  I have an open concept first floor.  I wanted to put one pair in the kitchen, one pair in the living room and one pair in the dining room ceilings.  I’m trying to figure out how I can (Most cost effectively) control those 3 rooms volume independently...ideally from the app, like I do my Sonos 1’s. I’m ok with the fact I can only play one source of music from this setup.It seems like I can’t control volume independently between the 3 pairs without installing a analog dial on the wall.  I’m hoping I’m wrong.     Thank you in advance.
