Hello everyone, and happy summer!I'm looking for support and help from experienced users!I'll try to be as brief as possible to focus on my biggest concern: I'd like to improve the audio experience by installing sound-absorbing panels! My biggest concern (and the questions I've been asking myself) is this: as you know, panels can usually be placed on the wall just above the TV, on the wall behind us, on the side walls, and on the ceiling! But since our Sonos systems are designed with audio that "reflects" and "bounces" off the side walls (like the ERA 300, the ARC) and on the ceiling for the Atmos effect, would it be incorrect to place these panels on the ceiling and side walls? I think the audio that should "bounce" off the walls and ceiling is "absorbed" by the panels, and therefore it would be a mistake to install them! Is this correct? Perhaps the only ones we can place are on the wall in front of us, right above the TV and soundbar?Thank you to anyone who will be so kind as to clari
Greetings from Rhode Island. My question is whtat hardware (and how many?) do I need to upgrade to the latest platform which i believe is Sonos 2.I have Sonos one hardware driving Sonos One Speakers. There are 8 outdoor speakers in four locations and 10 indoor speakers in 5 locations. I assume I can use the Sonos one speakers I have with the new Sonos 2 hardware. Many thanks for any insight. Paul
App just gets worse and worse - slowly replacing all my 6 with smart speakers of another brand
Hi. Curious if folks are using conduit and, if so, what type - e.g., PVC? I’ve seen mixed feedback when searching online. Thanks!
I recently installed the sonance 6.1 speaker system using 14-4 outdoor rated wire total length approx 200’ to last satellite speakerapp 140 feet from amp to sub woofer wired up everything correctly notice no bass from sub woofer went to EQ setting s on app adjusted bass treble loudness - still no bass from sub - I adjusted the L R balance bar a little bit then had bass from sub woofer - only get bass from subwoofer if the balance isn’t center - has to to off center to L or R to get bass - any idea - voltage drop ??please ring it thanks in advance
Does anybody have a recommendation for purchasing CD quality FLAC files? I’d like a legitimate site as I have no plans of pirating my music.ThxMarty
Three related requests. When selecting a recently played entry that is no longer valid Sonos offers to remove the associated Favorite, it would be good to also remove the recently played entry. As many recently played entries are useless, just a generic name that is of no help, or are something you want to avoid playing/being again a delete option would be good.As above since some entries have generic and useless names, allow us to rename them something useful. I don't need multiple "Top Songs" entries with no clue as to who's top songs shown.
After housing for a week or so when it worked fine, some reason Sonos could not find 3/5 pieces of kit and says “this kit is part of another system, reset and add to new system” - a real pain to have to force the reset on each and add - using “Sonos network” when it asked.however for 1 piece, this doesn’t work - it says created temp Sonos network “ but my phone cannot find it to connect to. Have tried adding it to system via Ethernet network but when I try and access it it disappears from the system and needs readding - any suggestions ?
Hello all, After some advice regarding my current setup, and potential upgrades. The system is in my pizzeria - simple setup, a pair of OneSL’s with Sub, and a Five in a seperate room. I stream music from my macbook air all day long, works great.I’m looking to add a TV. Would like to be able to airplay video/audio from my macbook to the TV, and obviously have the Sonos system take care of the audio. Was thinking of adding an ARC Ultra to the setup.Just wanting to make sure this is technically feasible before purchasing. Thanks! Larry
So I have a arc ultra 2 era 100s and a mini sub as my living room set up. I just recently bought another mini sub and 2 era 300s. How do I connect all of them together to for one living room system using the 300s as the surrons and the 100s as a stero pair. Is this even possible. I can't seem to connet everything together.
When using connected apps or services the time length of songs/tracks is not shown. Am I missing a toggle in settings to display this or can I make a request to have this information added to UI? Thank you!
I have set up a new Sonos system and I am connected to it. The problem is that I cannot add music services like Spotify and I cannot update my music library. I can pick Spotify to add then I click on “connect to Spotify” then when I click on “Authorize” nothing happens. I restarted everything. I changed my password all the things that are suggested then I called Sonos and they said that this was a known problem and their engineers are working on it. This pertains to the S one app.
Quando non si usa può stare sulla base di ricarica o bisogna toglierlo? Moderator Note: Google Translate- When not in use, can it stay on the charging base or do you have to remove it?
(I may have originally put this question in the wrong place...so my apologies for the dup)Can i sync 3 wireless Sonos’s...with one in the front yard, back yard and inside? If so, what do I need to do that and what would the least expensive wireless speaker/system solution? Thanks
Looking to purchase and install GARDEN SERIES SGS 8.1 OUTDOOR SYSTEM (8 - SATS, 1 - SUB). I see that these systems include an optional SOnance Amp. Would I need to purchase the Sonance Amp as well as the SONOS Amp, or will it work well connecting direct to the Sonos amp
HiThe new app gives up too easily looking for the Sonos system on the WiFi and then does not seem to clear the cache or local memory and do some sort of reattempt. The problem is you get scary suggested actions like upgrading the speakers and creating a new system. I know these are incorrect suggestions because if I 'force stop' the android app and try again it ultimately works ... not always after the first retry.Sonos mesh network used to be bullet proof in terms of reliability. I understand the security was not.
The S1 app (and older) had the option on Android to play music "On the device" and I can browse my local files and play them. it went away of course with the abomination that is the current app. Is this option ever going to added back into app? This is very useful when working on a space at my brother's farm that still only supports S1. However it would be nice to use it in other situations when connected to a system other than my own.
my mac blew up ...and i didnt want to do that platform anymore….so i bought a lenovo AIO 3all in one…….i have two sonos 5;s connected to a min sub woofer...i can get spotify to play by selecting in house ...and i can play my radio stations through the sonos app….but how do i get utube to play ...and dose a direct headphone jack from the 5.;s to the lenovo aio 3 ...a line in work ...with the single jack ensuring the two 5;s and the mini sub are grouped
I cannot express in enough words what an absolute piece of garbage system this is with this garbage app. Never have I spent such wasted money on garbage and frustration.
I just purchased 4 Sonos ERA1 and 1 ERA 300…I’m loving the experience. I would like to use them with my TV until I can squirrel away the funds to buy an Arc Ultra. Is the Line-In adapter the best way to achieving my goal? Thanks in advance.
When I play Apple Music through the Sonos iOS app using my Arc Ultra with Sub Gen 4 and Era 300 rears, playback is not gapless. On albums with seamless transitions between tracks, the Arc briefly cuts out during transitions — going completely silent until the next track starts. The music playback setting for the Era 300s are set to Full, and Spatial Audio is turned off. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any ideas for a fix or workaround? Thanks in advance!
La bocina no se conecta a puntos de acceso inalámbrico de alta gama, en banda dual 2.4/5 Ghz y con clave WPA2/WPA3. Moderator Note: Google Translate- The speaker does not connect to high-end wireless access points, in dual band 2.4/5 Ghz and with WPA2/WPA3 key.
I have updated the Sonos app on Android which was mandatory and it looks like the EQ is now missing. How can I change the bass and treble settings or can I not do this? Thanks.
Hello, I am currently facing a challenge in the interplay of MPD’s (Music Player Daemon) audio output as a http stream in my local network and the sonos interface (currently I use tuneIN to listen to a specific (local!) http address, namely the one I set in my MPD config). I successfully got an mp3 Stream up and running with maximal bitrate of 320kHz, using the following mpd config:audio_output { type "httpd" name "mp3audio" encoder "lame" port "8000" bitrate "320" format "44100:16:2"} I now wish to replicate this for flac, but simply settingaudio_output { type "httpd" name "Lossless HTTP Stream" encoder "flac" # or "wav" for uncompressed WAV compression "0" port "8001" # choose a port format "44100:16:2" # 44.1 kHz, 16-bit, 2 channels (stereo)}seems to not yield the expected result, as no audio is played back at all by the system.
