A cool feature, I think, would be to have a countdown shown on the Queue screen. Hours, minutes, and seconds. Not sure that its particularly useful, but, strikes me as a nice-to-have.
Hey all, thanks in advance for any help/advice/pointing out errors in my thinking.I have a Home Theatre (HT) setup in my 4m x 8m family room/kitchen space. It consists of an Onkyo 5100 wired to pre-existing built in front and surround speakers with a decent center channel and power sub, which I don’t want to replace. All those speakers are in the 4m x 4m family room side. I have a Sonos Move in the kitchen side of the space which is used for music and Alexa functionality - set timers, add things to grocery list, etc. I’m about to upgrade the kitchen and want to tie the two sides of the room together, with a Sonos Amp replacing the Move, so that I can a) listen to the same music through the HT setup or b) get the HT audio playing on the kitchen side. Eventually I’d like to add speakers outside which can do a) and b) as well. I’ve read a lot on this forum, the Sonos product instruction and installation guides and other sites but I’m still not sure if I can get it to work as desired. To st
Afternoon all. Have a feeling I’ve asked a similar question before struggling with way forward on this one.I have a Panasonic GZ2000 TV in a small/medium size viewing room. It has built in Dolby Atmos speakers (think 11 small units from memory) but does not really delivery on it’s promise sound wise. This is linked to a Sonos Amp and two B&W CCM682 in ceiling speakers. There is a budget wireless sub woofer as well which does OKish. I’ve been thinking to add an Arc, a pair of Ones and a Sonos SW. I previously installed positions for RJ45 & power for the Sonos One’s and the TV has power & Rj45 at the rear to run the Arc off. Same with the SW position. But …. the Sonos Amp feeds the two in-ceiling B&W’s and they are logically in the wrong place. They are in line with the TV rather than left & right of it. Why? Originally the room was supposed to be just for listening. Then at the 11th hour (after speakers were installed) the plan changed to be a viewing room. I’ve attach
My surrounds have stopped working over the past few days and I have removed and re-added them but still not working. I have an Arc, Sub and a connect amp connecting 2 surrounds. All are S2 using 14.2. If I set up connect as separate zone all sounds plays fine through my surround speakers, so I know amp is working. When I reconnect them as surrounds Sonos adds them ok and connect Amp can control volume of Arc no problem but no sound coming from surrounds when playing music in full or ambient mode. I have tried to toggle surrounds on and off. I have also tried trueplay tuning but when it starts it says some speakers appear to be missing. Is there a way to roll back to version 14.11, and has anyone else experienced this issue since the update 4 days ago? cheers Lee
Hi all,I am considering the following setup:Sonos Arc as the “CENTER” speaker. Sonos Amp to drive my passive HECO L/R speakers.I would hardwire the Arc to the TV via HDMI/ARC and add the Amp as L/R. Will this work? There is no need for surrounds! Thanks!
I have line in set to autoplay from the headphone out of my tv . The sound is fine when I switch on the tv but if I switch to a smart app say amazon, plex etc the sonos goes to silent You then have to go in the app and hit stop then play again to resume audio despite the fact the audio source remains line in all the time.
Hello,We are hosting a destination wedding and need to bring a portable speaker set up for the after party. What I am trying to figure out is if 2 Roams connected vs. 1 Move - which is more powerful? I feel like 2 Roams would give me more flexibility, but if they wouldn’t be loud enough (even combined) - I would like to know. Given that Sonos doesnt provide any sort of sound statistics for their devices, I am trying to determine how I compare these options to buy the right set up. Thanks in advance!
I’m looking for the best way to make a TV that is outside and connected to Wi-Fi a source within the Sonos ecosystem. I could connect a beam to the TV, but I am afraid of the outdoor humidity. Thoughts?
I got an Amp and will wire around my terrace, which is currently broken in two areas and I want to have 2 speakers on each area.My plan is: I’ll run them in Dual Mono and have two speakers on L and two on R, (L&R being each side of the terrace) Is there a way I can have each side have different volumes?I don’t mind if it’s the same music, but for example one side has a summer kitchen / dining and the other one has a lounge area, so settings / conversations might different so different volumes might be appreciated. The most logical answer is get another Amp but that would require me to drop another $750, is the a simpler way? anything “simple” that can be done in the app? any kind of volume control in the wiring that might help / recommended? I am DIY’ing this :)
Can I get my sonos system work from a laptop ? If so what do I need to download gone on the sonos website clicking the button for download and nothing Can you also get the app to work on I pad ? cheers
Just found out i cannot control the Sonos Ray through the TV remote … and so on the look out for a smart looking remote for Volume Control. Any recommendations?
Used to watch movies with the volume set and left alone. Now, after one or some Sonos personal decided to change things they thought would be better, the volume has to be turned up..then down. Turn it up for dialogue but the background gets to loud so down on the volume. And yes I’ve adjusted the surrounds. Vicious circle indeed.
I have 2 sonos 5 speakers just added the sub
Hi,Appologies in advanced if this has been asked before.I have a old Panasonic 50” Plasma TH-50U30A which I am pretty certain does not do Dolby Passthrough from its Optical or HDMI ports.I have a spare Beam or Playbar (together with a Sub and two ones) which I can connect to this TV but in either case will only get Stereo PCM :-(Is anyone able to suggest a good splitter which I could use to connect:Apple TV → Splitter → Beam ARC Port (For Audio) and TV ARC or HDMI Port (For Audio) or Apple TV → Splitter → PlayBar Optical Port (For Audio) and TV ARC or HDMI Port (For Video) Preference would be for the latter (Playbar)
Hi all , I'm using the S2 app for my beam gen 2 and I get the notification in the notification drop down menu on my android phone but when the TV is off the notification defaults back to the last radio station I had on but also I can't use the " remove notification" button , it does nothing, if I remove the home screen widget iam then able to remove the drop down notification, thing is , I like the widget ! Definitely a bug with the app .
Hi, My Sonos arc (arc + surround + sub) is connected to a Samsung QN80Q80b through the HDMI eARC port. I have tried playing atmos content (movies tagged as dolby atmos) through the native (to the TV) netflix and disney + apps. Each time, on my sonos app, I see it as Stereo PCM not dolby atmos (verified in the about my system page as well).Any advice? I’m stumped. Expert settings on the TV audio have HDMI-eARC Mode and Digital Output Format set to Auto. Dolby ATMOS is enabled. EDIT: Welp that was an easy fix. Had to reboot my TV (Hold down the power button till the tv turns off then back on). The TV was previously connected to a playbar … maybe that was the issue that rebooting fixed?
This is a comment I wanted to share about the Sonos Roam, mine in particular, and don’t suggest you try it.As I was sitting on the balcony of my 2nd-floor Hotel room and bumped the table my speaker was on.I watched it roll off onto the concrete and then continue to roll off and down to the concrete patio for the floor below. I expected it to shatter. The guest below stood on a chair and passed it back to me. It was still playing music and did not have a scratch on it or any other issue. What a tough little brick.
Hello Sonos Community!I am considering setting my home up with Sonos, and I was hoping to get some specific answers/advice.I have 2xSonos One (G2) speakers in my kids’ rooms. I found that in order to use Alexa and Spotify independently (and not have the need to have ipads/phones in their rooms), I needed to setup 2 separate sonos systems entirely. This includes separate sonos, spotify, and Alexa accounts. It works well, but was confusing to figure out how to set it up. My assumption is that I’ll be setting up a third Sonos system (call it ‘Home’) to control the remainder of my speakers and setup. I have a Marantz receiver and wired 5.1 surround sound speakers hooked up already in my living room. I don’t think I’m interested in completely swapping this setup for Sonos speakers, but it’d be neat if I could incorporate the Sonos setup to leverage it. I would like to put some outdoor / all-weather speakers outside on my rear patio. I would like to add some speakers to my kitchen and
Since a recent update this stupid screen pops up, and you have to piss around with the app for five minutes to get rid of it.Ironically it's blocking the favourites screen, and serves absolutely no purpose. Please get rid of it.
Sonos speakers Symfonisk does not show to cast Youtube music, youtube. Sonos app is working and connects, but of course is not the same.
Hello.BackgroundI have a 2016 Sony Z9D TV that only has ARC. I love the TV and don’t want to change it just to get eARC. As part of a home renovation, I am about to get rid of my traditional surround system in place for a Sonos ARC 5.1 system (ARC+Sub+2 One SLs). The TV has 4 HDMI ports of which only 2 are HDMI 2.0 compatible (other 2 are 1.4) and unfortunately tone of the HDMI 2.0 ports is the ARC port. I want to keep the system as simple as possible so that my family can use it without getting a university degree but still want Atmos. My family mostly uses Apple TV (4k), PS5, and cable tv - although I have other inputs that I use less often (Nintendo Switch, HTPC etc) and this will go through a cheap HDMI switch. I never use the TV’s internal apps because the OS is slow. (The TV has google assistant built in which makes automation easy if I use Google Assistant on Sonos Arc). PlanSo my plan is as follows. Purchase the HD Fury Arcana and the Sonos System. Plug the Apple TV 4K
My arc speaker are damaged by either chipmunk or squirrel. What are the possible solution should i contact customer or show them to someone who can repair electronic items.
I wanted to share my experience because there were no existing topics to cover this.I moved homes and took my Sonos One SL with me. I created a new wifi network, so obviously I knew the Sonos One SL would not connect to the new network. I simply figured this would be an option inside the sonos app to change the network. It was not.First, I tried attempting to connect and the Let’s Fix It option was coming up at the top. I went through the instructions, finding the sonos product, and then attempting to connect to new network. No luck.Second, I tried a master reset of the sonos by holding down the join button while reconnecting to power. Sonos was reset, but would not connect to my phone (apple iphone 12). Finally, at the suggestion on here through another topic, someone suggested removing the app. This actually worked for me. So, in conclusion, solution is to factory reset the speaker, and then remove app and then claim the factory reset sonos product. VOILÀ!
I am thinking about purchasing the Sonia roam. Is it possible to connect it with my TV / sound bar to take it into my garden and listen to the TV out there?
Will the Sonos arc, gen 3 sub work with home wifi which is T-Mobile 5g? I hope it does I want this system.
