LONG time Customer with legacy components (Connect, ConnectAmp, Play1) that work just fine within Sonos S1 App - Don’t want, need or can afford to upgrade equipment.But thinking about adding a Sonos Beam gen2 soundbar - How do I integrate this product into my current system? Can the Sonos Arc display the volume connecter to a Sony A95k thru the e-Arc HDMI port??
Is there any plan to integrate volume sliders and play/pause controls on the “rooms” (zone selection) page of the app? I think it’s be very convenient to have control over each zone without having to load each zone in the app first. For example, if I have 3 zones playing music, I can alter the volume on one of the zones playing from the rooms page instead of having to select the room and then alter the volume.
I currently have the Sonos S2 app installed on my iPAD. I have a large music collection on a NAS, which I control using Asset UPnP. I have set up a unique instance of Asset for the sonos so that only mp3 files are used (I have a fair number of FLAC files in our collection). Having enabled “show UPnP servers” in the media servers options under settings, I am able to see the entire collection using the music tab.Unfortunately, with my setup I am unable to add an entire album to the queue or a playlist. I have searched the forum and found two potential solutions (long press album art, then scroll down) or (press … symbol at in the upper right of the screen when viewing album tracks and then scroll down). Unfortunately, neither works. When I scroll down from either spot, nothing happens. Can anyone help?Thanks

I desperately need some guidance with this research because I'm at my wit's end.I simply need a tangible remote control—not an iPad or phone—that I can use to adjust the level on a selection of Sonos speakers or on ALL of them.No more Tradfri gateways are available, so you'll have to wait till their new hub is ready, however it looks like their Tradfri remote may manage a number of devices (or all speakers). I have the remote but no hub yet.pico remote and lutron hub just went down this rabbit hole and there is no Sonos "group" support; you can only operate ONE speaker at a time.
Sonos Arc, Play 1 surrounds, gen 1 sub, I haven’t really ‘pushed’ my system for a while, but have noticed sound issues in recent shows and movies that do not feel right - turns out my once sounding amazing home theater system is now absolutely horrific - I tested with 6 Underground on netflix which was once my ‘showcase’ movie for what the Arc and Sonos can do, and there’s such a substantial difference, I’m wondering if there is a way I can get anywhere close to what it was before, whether Sonos has acknowledged the issues and working on a fix, or whether it’s time to pack up shop? Everything from the immersion, explosions, dialog, I can’t even explain it, sounds like a cheap Bluetooth speaker. Hi. I have a Play 1, Play 3 and Boost which are operating under S1. I was originally told I could upgrade my existing kit to S2 but now whenever I try I am told my devices are incompatible with S2. I just bought a new Roam, which is S2, and I do understand that I cannot link the speakers as they are not compatible, but can I link my Roam to my existing library, playlists, favourites etc. or do I have to set it up entirely from scratch? I cannot even find out how to add my iTunes to the Roam let alone anything else. I have the S2 and S1 apps on my iPhone, but my main channel for my existing speakers is the Sonos Controller on my iMac, which incidentally will not enable the update they tell me is waiting to load.
HiI’m about to upgrade a Gen 1 Connect for the Sonos Port. Am I correct in understanding that 24 Bit steaming is only available via Amazon Music, and Tidal is still only CD quality at 16 Bit?
HiLong story short. I have a Gen 1 Connect. I’m about to upgrade my HiFi system (speakers and amp) and hoping to improve my streaming source (currently using Spotify) to CD quality using TIDAL, Apple or Amazon Music. I may not notice the difference, but want to at least give it a try.The Gen 1 Sonos Connect obviously isn’t suitable for CD quality streaming, so I’m thinking I should upgrade to a Sonos Port and move to the S2 app. I’ve been hesitant to upgrade due to the mixed reviews over the past few of years, and am curious to know if there have been any improvements with the sound quality issues some people have had (either from the unit itself or in the app) since it’s launch 3 years ago. I have a Panasonic GZ1000 and a Sony UBP-700.I am fully aware that my Sonos ARC does not support full DTS, but i was under the impression I could access a 7.1 PCM pass through (or at the least 5.1) on any DTS-X input? i have my blu-ray set to:Digital output: PCM (have also tried on auto)DSD: offSecondary: off48hzDRC: off i have my TV set to :Audio format: auto (have also tried on PCM)Dolby Atmos; on (although i know it is irrelevant here) When playing a title such as ET which comes with DTS-X 7.1, i get 5.1 Dolby plus on the menu screen and then PCM 2.0 during the film. What am i doing wrong that is preventing the Sonos from outputting 7.1 multichannel? I know that my Play-speakers ain’t working with Airplay. But, is it necessary to change both to Sonos One SL or will it work if I just change one of them and then make a group (consisting of one Play and one One SL)?
I have two Sonos Play 5 units paired in stereo and the Sonos Sub. My primary use for this is playback of my personal music files. I have been very happy with Sonos except I am very interested in being able to play my personal high resolution files (24/48, 24/96 and 24/192). I know Sonos supports 24/48 streaming but I want to use my own files. What is on the horizon to catch up technology wise. I would love to continue with Sonos but that may become an insurmountable issue without that support. Speaking of on the horizon is there any upgrades or new models in the works to add another level of speaker above the Play 5 or its current iteration the Sonos Five?

I have a Sonos One in the living room and Sonos One SL in the bedroom.When I am playing songs from my phone (iOS 13.3.1), airplay to either speaker won’t work.The error message I get is > Unable to connect to “Living Room”.However, when I airplay to Apple TV, it works! Any kind soul can help what’s wrong? I try restart my router, speakers and phone. It doesn’t work at all.
Hello again!.I've been using WiFi Analyser and it seems 2.4ghz round my area is chocker blocked where as 5gh is relatively untouched.I have Playbar, Sub, Play:1's, Play One's, Play 3's and Move.If I go over to S2 will all these be able to connect via 5gh and if it came to it can I downloade all back to S1? (I have a Connect S1 only to keep the S1 system).My Move seems to be having the hardest time with connecting it seems.I'm back on Channel one for now.I would like to try a Mesh System really but Sonos doesn't seem to get on with these?.Can S2 do SonosNet in 5ghz band?.Thanks for any comments.

Sonos Arc not appearing on app after working perfectly well since set up many months ago. I have powered off device, rebooted wifi and device. Sound working on TV through HDMI arc cable. All other Sonos devices are working fine Grateful for advice to get system back working again
I have a Niles gxr2 whole house system installed with wall mount display and keypads. i bought the apple 30 pin to composite cable. I connected the 30 pin to niles and the red white part to so os connect generation 1 audio out.. when i play a song i don’t gear any music coming out of the speakers the niles wall plate say “source connected” when I switch to ipod but the mute button always stays red for some reason. what am I doing wrong. Could someone please help?
I’m about to purchase a Sonos set up and wanted to check my thinking. I want the Beam (2) and I can connect it to two One SLs for surround sound on the TV.If the TV is off and I ask Alexa to play some music, will the Ones both play the music as well or just the Beam?If so will the sound balance out? The TV will be in the corner and the Ones on either side of the couch facing the TV. It’s a fairly large room too.
