Speakers

After increasing connectivity issues between the app and speakers, I was going to try and switch from SonosNet to WiFi.  However, whilst the online help suggests this is easy to do (go into the app and Update Network), once in the app, looking at the “more information” sections suggests that this can only be done for newer products. I have a number of Play:1 and Play:3 speakers and the information says these need to be factory reset.Questions:Is this true?  Can I only update the newer products automatically? If I do have to factory reset the older products, will playlists etc. have been retained on the newer speakers and get copied across, or is there a risk I will lose my playlists and settings.Any help on this appreciated.

I can't connect my play 1 speakers - they flash green, app tells me I must upgrade software, but follow all instructions, error code 1014. 

I have a Playbar, Play 3 and just purchased a Move 2. Play bar works great. For the life of me I can not get the Play 3 or Move 2 to connect to my WiFi ( the same Wi-Fi the play bar is on). I have tried everything! Unplugged the speakers, rebooted my router, reset the speakers, deleted and reinstalled the App, tried starting a new system, called Sonos (didn’t have 2 hours to wait on hold), yelled, screamed, did some deep breathing and nothing helped! at one point, the Play 3 did work, and then it didn’t, just like that! Any suggestions? Thank you!

Trying to add an old Play 1. Sonos app. recognizes it, says it requires an update but update doesn’t complete. Loading wheel seems to be progressing, but it should have been completed long ago, 

I have been facing this annyoying issue where sonos app shows no product found (as shown in screenshot below). I have a sonos amp (kef q150) setup with sub and sonos ones as surround. This has happened 3 times in last 1 month. Every time I have to reset all devices and redo the setup in sonos app. Anyone aware of any solution for this? things i have trieddisconnecting and reconnecting amp disconnecting and reconnecting wifi routerDont know if this is new app but its getting so annoying !  

Despite all the bugs and missing features in the new app, the one positive so far is a stable eARC connection to my Samsung Qled TV. Prior to the update, everytime I turned my TV back on I would have to manually reconnect to eARC in the TV audio settings. Now it connects automatically as it should. Did anyone else notice this? Thanks in advance. 

I just unboxed a brand-new Sonos One and tried to connect to my system via Sonos App that just updated in May 2024 with the latest version.When after a while the product ( Sonos One ) has been found by the app it prompts that:” Update is required”.The update should take several minutes, but it never ended. After waiting for 30 hours the update circle icon, which shows the progress got up the half. I can guess due to the update that can’t be completed, the speaker not adding to the system.I have a T-Mobile Home internet WiFi  router. I tried everything that potentially should resolve the issue i.e. factory reset to Sonos One, router reset, connecting with the closest distance to the router( a few feet) plugin hardwire between the router speaker. Nothing helps.Any other suggestions? 

I can’t pair my Sonos Beam Gen 2 and Play:1 in order to shuffle through all my songs on Apple Music after the update. My Beam is hooked up to TV, Play:1 is in the kitchen. It’s a small apartment and they’re close together, I have a very strong Google Fiber connection, everything — phone and apps — are all updated.  My routine Sonos pre-update was to go to Apple Music, pair my phone to the Beam through Airplay, and then go to the Sonos app and connect the Beam and Play:1 as outputs. This way I could just go back to my Apple Music app to do whatever I wanted there and it would use my speakers as directed. Simple, repeatable, reliable.  What happens now is that I go to Apple Music, I connect to the Beam with Airplay, and when I go to the new Sonos App and connect the outputs it stops the music and forces me to use Apple Music through the Sonos app platform. Not the worst thing ever, but the problem now is that when I go to “all songs” in Apple Music via Sonos, there is no Shuffle option.

Patrick, I’m following up on my initial email I sent at the end of May. Thank you for forwarding my email on to your support team. Two different technology experts who deal frequently with all Sonos products have noted that the Sonos upgraded application is a complete failure. It is great to see that Sonos continues to pump out new products such as headphones of which the Sonos application used to operate these high cost sound equipment is a drastic failure. Your level 2 support team has completed let me down. I have continued to hope for a successful update to the Sonos app. To allow me to once again enjoy my sound system which I paid thousands for. As of today, I cannot play my system and it is a failing mess. It looks like this last update on June 17 was supposed to help the volume situation. Instead it made it worse. Im trying to get all my music thats on a pc to play through my sonos beam, ive got a sonos port and ive plugged a lead into the headphone socket on the pc and then run the red and white jacks into the sonos in sockets but im not getting any sound through the beam, help

I changed the wi-fi password on my router (for better security). When I start the iOS app, it goes to the welcome screen. If I try to add a speaker (Play 3 or Beam get 2), the app searches for a long time but doesn’t find them. Clicking on can’t find new product goes to a help screen with suggestions to unplug the speaker, which doesn’t work. The other option is to do a factory reset that I’d like to avoid doing.If I try to join an existing system, the app tries to log into my network with the old password.On the Sonos support page, it says that there is an “update existing network” option under System, but I can’t locate it with the new app.   

So this problem emerged today. It is like I have suddenly lost a channel. I am only getting part of a song. Let me explain it this way. I am playing the new Decemberists album and none of my speakers are getting the vocal. They all have only the backing track.i have rebooted the system, updated my speakers. I am at a loss. This just became an issue today.sny suggestions? Thanks! 

Hi everyone, I recently received my new Roam 2 which works very well except with my MacBook Air 2020… I am though connected by bluetooth, everything seems fine but the sound keep coming out from my Mac and not the speaker. I have already forgot the device and re-connected it, always with the same issue… We know that Mac is not very friendly with all the devices that are not from Apple, but here it seems that the connection is impossible, does someone have some advices please ? Thanks in advance !Have a great day.Thomas

Help! This “new” black Icon Sonos App is totally F#€££%!  Absolutely awful. Give us back the Orange icon version or Im dumping Sonos completely!!!  Totally f###### on every level. Search. Service. Location. All completely unusable!

I have (had 🙄) 2 x One’s set up as a stereo pair. All working well after the initial update. However, tonight only one would connect. I also have a roam which was still on the system and working ok. Spent all evening trying to sort with the chatbot and then an agent who cut me off 🤦🏼‍♀️ Anyway I now have my speaker stuck with the green flashing light (was advised to factory reset) but it refuses to play the audio chime! I’ve tried everything. Rebooted my phone (iPhone 14), my router, speakers, etc etc .. any ideas anyone? 😫oh I also have an Ethernet cable 🤷🏼‍♀️

Is this happening to anyone else?I've got an Arc, Play 5, 2x Play 1s, Era 100, Roam.The Play 1 went to 0 while it was playing radio yesterday.I've noticed the at least the Arc and the Era sometimes are at 0 volume when I look at them, noticing the green LED...What is going on? Anyone else?!

Hi,Iam not sure what is going on, but someone needs to take responsibility with all this debacle with the Sonos App. I have 2 ERAs 300 that I cannot add to my existing system because of the inability os Sonos fixing the app. I spent close to a $1000 for the speakers and I cannot add them to the system!!! I mean seriously!! What is going on? 

Hello ! My firts connection with my Ray fails… « Your Ray has been added, but cannot appear in your audio system. If this is the case, unplug the power cable and then plug it back in to complete the setup from System Settings. »What should I do ?THX! 

Hi, looking for help.Something went wrong when trying to play playlist. Lag between song skip and volume control. Missing playlists even though Sonos’s have told me they should be there(not happy 10 years of playlists) Can’t find system after uninstalling app on iPhone. can I go back to Sonos’s S1 if I have first gen products ?If this isn’t sorted Sonos’s will be kicked into touch, awful update.thx if anybody responds 

I recently hooked up our Sonos Era 300 and am wondering is there a way that you can shutoff the start up and shutdown chime? It’s so loud and we don’t want to wake others in the house in the evening or in the morning.

HelloI’d like to wall mount a stereo pair of Play:5s. I live in a Victorian terrace, which has (I think) a single brick wall separating my house from next door. This is the best wall to mount the speakers on, but I’m a little concerned about sound affecting/annoying my neighbours. Has anybody got experience of this - is it an issue?  I’m encouraged by the fact that there’s no bass port at the back - does this mean that almost all sound is projected forward?TIADavid

Hi All, I hope someone might be able to help me. I can’t get through to Sonos Support.  Had a new WiFi and Router installed. Connected Sonos with Ethernet. Factory Re set  Finds Product  when I want to add WiFi so can disconnect Ethernet - still coming up with no WiFi on the app.
