Question

I wasted $2000

5 Play 1’s, a Play 5 and a subwoofer, all useless due to speakers dropping out, an unresponsive app and speakers that literally won’t stop playing (not all of them of course because you can’t get all of them to play together). I actually have to unplug speakers to stop the music. After a very frustrating 9 months of Tier 2+ support this Electrical Engineer is junking the whole system for a more analog replacement. Sonos has become a damn joke and I will disparage the product any chance I get.

Be ready for.. “ it’s your WiFi “.. as it seems to be what the Sonos boys will say.

A good way to get your system stable again would be to downgrade to the S1 app. If the Sub is a gen 1 or gen 2, all your speakers can work fine with the old app.

You can also try plugging in a Play 1 to your router with an ethernet cable.
