After the latest update I cannot control speaker volumes independently - I only get one volume control for the group. Isn’t that one of the values of Sonos to be able to control each room/speaker independently????
I have been listening to Apple Music on my Play 1s from my MacBook Pro for about two years without any issues. A few days ago I swapped out my old router for a new eero Max 7 and have been working through the usual issues. Now Apple Music doesn’t show/recognize my Play 1s. After extensive time with Sonos tech support, they said to delete the Sonos app on my MacBook Pro and re-install it. I was able to download the 63 MB dmg file from support.sonos.com/downloads but the app wouldn’t install when I tried to drag it from “Sonos” to “Applications”. Apple says it is an incompatibility problem with the Sonos app and I tend to believe them. I have reset and reinstalled my Play 1s on the new network using the Sonos app on my iPhone and I can play from Apple Music on my iPhone to the Play 1s without any issues. How do I get the Play 1s to show up on Apple Music on my MacBook Pro?
Trouble setting tv as source with playbar
I'm setting up Sonos Era 100 for the first time. My phone recognises the speaker but when it say 'getting it ready' it loses connection.
I’ve been reading numerous complaints about Sonos update failures, but I consider myself quite fortunate. Having recently transitioned from a high-end, complex music system with an array of cables, countless remotes, and endless subwoofer calibrations, I am thoroughly impressed with my Sonos setup. The simplicity and richness of the sound, coupled with the seamless experience, have been truly remarkable. My setup is running flawlessly, and my enjoyment of streaming music has never been better. Remarkably, I made this switch at the age of 65, and I couldn’t be more satisfied. No regrets at all!Thank you SONOS, you guys made the difference!
Hi,I am posting this question on behalf of a relative who owns several SYMPHONISK bookshelf speakers for her place of business but doesn’t have the slightest bit of tech knowledge to solve her issue - and neither does any of her employees btw.The issue I am hoping to solve is a long standing issue that her employees have reported (very vaguely) and last week-end I was at her place of business trying to to fix whatever issue she might have had making the speakers work reliably and at the end of the day, I couldn’t tell what was wrong since I was able to set them up correctly at my first attempt and never witness any issue.Apparently, the whole setup kept working as expected up to and including last Monday. Nonetheless, she called me this morning to tell me it started crapping out again and I asked her for a clear and precise description of the symptom(s) and now I have something to report:It appears the sonos app (or link or whatever) causes any random speaker to be “unchecked” from the
My current system comprisesA Play 1 A Play 5 A Connect A BoostThe new system will compriseAn Era 100 A Five A Port A BoostWhat is the best order in which to make the change? Should I therefore make this change last. I want to spread the expenditure. One criteria is to minimise the time I am using two apps. The Play 1 will work with the S2 app, I believe. Should I therefore makes the change to Era 100 last. I am tempted to go in this order:-Connect to Port Play 5 to Five Play 1 to Era 100Any ideas?
We have a Playbar and several One and One SL speakers in our home system. In the recent past, the remote speakers started cutting in and out when in the TV mode only. The sound from the Playbar in TV mode is fine. Streaming music is working fine on all speakers. I have spent hours with tech support trying different things until finally today, the tech told me that the Playbar won’t support remote speakers in TV mode and that it has something to do with the app issues that they are gradually trying to fix by releasing updates.Personally, I think this is BS as logically it doesn’t make sense that the app on my phone would have an effect on whether the sound cuts in and out.Has anyone else had this issue?
I have recently moved my sonos play 5 gen 1 to a new network and have been completely unable to setup the device. I keep getting stuck on the step where I am prompted to connect to the “SONOS’ network. the app tells me “Not connected to ‘SONOS’ Wi-Fi”. Obviously, I am connected to the “SONOS” network. Here are some of the steps ive taken to try and solve the issue:factory reset the speaker tried on three different devices (all iphones and 1 ipad on the latest ios)Unfortunately, I am in a dorm and don’t have access to an ethernet connection. If anyone knows how to solve this or has any ideas, please let me know.
I can’t update my app or add speakers that it doesn’t see anymore unless I sign in as the system owner. I sign in and it becomes an endless loop of signing in but never signs me in!
Hi AllHoping you can helpWanting to upgrade my system to new Arc, sub and 2 x Era 300sI wondering whether it is better for real spatial / surround sound to mount the Era 300s on the wall - above and behind the couch, rather than on stands close to couch? It is quite a large room - approx 12m x 7mAm thinking of putting the Era 300s on the wall behind the couch (the wall is about 3.6m behind the couch)in the photos you can see the wall - with speakers would be attached above the glass balustrade at a height of about 2.4mI am also thinking of adding an Era 100 to the room setup above the dining table. So my question - wall mount the Era 300s? Or keep them closer to the couch on stands? Thanks!!
I spent HOURS getting my older sonos speakers set up (after being advised to by newer ones - no thank you since we have 5 speakers around the house) which were working perfectly. After the last app update I had to re-setup all of them (like from factory rest). All connect (not reliably) and one in particular say it’s been made available to the group but I cannot see it at all. I’ve done a factory reset 3x. It’s time consuming and very frustrating.
My Sub gen1 won’t connect
Had the turntable connected to my old Play 5 and it played perfectly across all my Sonos speakers around the house with crystal clear quality. Upgraded to the new Sonos Five 2nd gen and connect the turntable. Now all I get is broken audio and rumbling speakers. I replaced the 3.5mm cable connecting the turntable to the Five thinking that may be the issue, but it wasn’t. Changed the source level, audio delay for the line in as well as the low, medium and high output on the back of the turntable. All changes didn’t not solve the issue. Any help getting me back up and running would be greatly appreciated.
I’m having a lot of trouble since the new app just like a lot of you guys. I’m though having a problem where my Arc keeps disappearing in from the system. First sign is that I can’t find it under Airplay. When I open the Sonos app I’m meet with the message seen in the picture (system found and Arc and asks if I want to set up). If I then wait a few minutes the Arc completely by it self comes back to the system. Anyone else had this problem?
I got a new WiFi router so I had to update all my Sonos products. I had to do an factory reset and all each product. This worked yesterday and it was working fine. I woke up this morning and the Sonos app can no longer find my system. It is literally playing right now but I can connect or pause it. My wife is able to connect. I uninstalled the app on my phone and reinstalled and still no luck. What a. I supposed to do here
Advice please. I have a Beam 2 and 2 x One SL’s in my living room, which I use for TV and music. I am about to take possession of 2 x Era 100’s for my conservatory, just for music. I would like comments on whether to put the Era 100’s in my conservatory, as my original plan, or put the 2 Ones there and bring the Eras’ into the living room with the beam. Thank you 😎
Hi, Anyone experience any changes withthier APP and System just by changing DNS in router? I basically changed out Spectrums DNS to Cloudflare and it killed the functionality of my app and system.Thoughts?Thx
stop breaking everything.a random update caused my symfonisk frames to not work. these are NOT easy to unplug and reboot. finally rebooted the 2nd one after getting into a drop ceiling tonight... That one came back online and that seemed to cause a nearby symfonisk lamp (set up in stereo with another lamp) to not work for god knows what reason. sound only of out 1 speaker. ALL are ethernet connected. No wifi used so little excuse for this. Tried to unpair them and re-pair them (setup sounds working out of both). Playing music, again only 1 speaker working. Had to unplug it. Not to sound lazy, but the lamps are also quite uneasy to just unplug and plug back in every damn day this crap happens (the cords are tucked away for a seemless look). That seemed to finally fix it I guess. UNTIL Sonos updates something again, which will break something else randomly…What are you gonna break next buddy? I can’t keep this entire system up for longer than 1 week now without you busting something...
Hi,I have no previously created zones, would just click speakers on or off as needed from the list. But now I do need to create a Zone. How to do this in the new app? I can’t find anywhere to create Zones and Zone names. From other comments sounds like I’m not the only one having issues with the new app so I don’t feel too stupid. Yet. I have (4) Ones and (1) Roam.
I have a Playbar and several Play 1 speakers. We made a change to our wifi network, and after going through reconnecting all of our smart devices, Sonos is the only ones that we’re having trouble with. When I went to Manage Network in settings, and then Update Network, it did not find my speakers. In fact it discovers other products that I don’t own. I’m not sure how it does that or who these products belong to. I checked with one neighbor who has Sonos and they don’t belong to her. That’s one issue. I then tried connecting one speaker to wifi with an Ethernet cable, and was able to get all of the speakers to work, but only while i stay connected with the cable. I tried to update the network again, and still the same previous issue. I called Tech Support and tried different things with them, and still couldn’t resolve the issue, nor could they explain why these other products are showing up. The only suggestion she could make was for me to reset the speakers, which of course means I wi
Hi everyone,I'm encountering an issue with my Sonos Arc that I hope someone here can help with. While watching shows, the volume will intermittently decrease to the point where I can barely hear it for a few seconds, then it returns to the original volume. Here's my setup:- Sonos Arc connected to the TV via HDMI- Sonos Sub connected wirelessly- TV speakers are disabledThe volume drop happens randomly, and it's especially frustrating during key moments in the show. I've double-checked all the connections, and everything seems fine.Has anyone else experienced this issue or have any suggestions on how to fix it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
I have a stereo pair of Fives. Up until yesterday everything was fine. Now, when playing from my turntable (connected to the Left speaker via line in) the right speaker will not play. Other speakers in my system (One, Beam) will play if selected but the Right Five remains silent. Any ideas? Thanks!
Hello: My Sonos One has not been connecting to the TV and Beam. Both are on the same network and found in the app.Any Thoughts? I tried the Chat feature on the website and that was a joke. Thanks!
How do I attach the in ceiling round speaker grills. What for the magnets attach to?
