I have 2 sonos era in the flat and they connect together as one sound system.
However since i bought the sonos roam which is mobile, i can connect to it via bluetooth on my phone, but when i try to add it to the network with the other 2 (via the play button on the speaker or via the sonos app) it tells me "impossible to connect, try again later"
I reset fully the sonos roam and reinstalled it , it's visible on my sonos app but wont connect to the other 2 systems.…
Don’t confuse matters by using different words.
If I understand correctly you have two Era speakers which are stereo paired. Thus, they are identified by a room name - since I don’t know what you’ve called your room I’ll refer to Room1. You now want to add another speaker to Room2 in your system.
If you can see Room1 but not Room2, or Room2 but not Room1, you might have accidentally created two systems, rather than adding the Roam to your existing system.
Whilst it’s generally not a good thing to do, factory reset the Roam. Then go through the install setup procedure again, being sure to add to existing system. Once it’s on your wifi network you should be able to group Room1 and Room2 to play the same music in both rooms.
I have just purchased these and had the same issue. The solution for me was do not add to Wi-Fi using the Sonos app. If you go to Wi-Fi networks as though you were going to connect to a different network, wait a few seconds it will detect the speaker and you can it to the network from there.
Once completed go back to the sonos app, add speaker and it will install and update without needing to connect to Wi-Fi as it has already been added by IOS. (Worked on iPhone)
