I have an old Play:1 that I have trouble connecting to my WiFi router. If the router connects at 5.0 GHz, the music cuts in and out. The router also has 2.5 GHz but it connects automatically without allowing a choice. If I reboot the router a few times it will eventually choose 2.5 and then the speaker works fine. I have talked to Sonos customer service 3 times and they swear that the speaker works fine on 5.0. My experience says the opposite. Does anyone have experience with this and is there a fix?
I have updated the Sonos app today and now I can’t get my phone to recognise my system speakers any help would be appreciated
Hi guys I’ve just received a new router and my phone is connected to the new router but my Sonos won’t connect as it says it has to be on the same network as my phone how do I do this please just keeps coming up device not found ???
I invested in a whole house system…SONOS touted it as a great wireless solution and I trusted them. A fortune in 9 speakers, sound bar, etc. But now their newer products have bumped my older system to the back of the line.Updates block my Sonos use for 1-3 days with great regularity Playlist titles no longer showing up for Apple Music (show up everywhere else). I have 17 lists so this is a problem. The system doesn’t seem to work well with so many speakers. When I disconnect several then there are no problems. Now I must use a single Bose wireless speaker beside my chair when I want to dependably listen to something! Sonos has been a HUGE waste of money…and causing lots of frustration.
Hi, I have just moved house so changed wifi. When I go on my Sonos app it says there are no systems found.I go to settings to update network but that option isn’t available. The manage button is greyed out. Not sure what to do now! thanks
Kan inte koppla in en till bokhyllehögtalare från Ikea Moderator edit:Google Translate- Can't connect another bookshelf speaker from Ikea
For 3 years now I have had 3 redundant Sonos speakers in my home and I’m getting nowhere with the live chat so here I am! please can anyone help?! I have 3 speakers sat in 3 rooms of my house. 3 years ago I updated my WIFI and have subsequently not been able to connect to the speakers. When I search for the speakers in the app it says the app responds with no speakers are on the same network. Or Speakers need to be powered on - they are obviously, in fact the phone is sat on top of the speaker 😫 can anyone help?
I’ve owned a Play 1 for 10 years with no issues. I changed my WIFI and now my Play 1 is invisible. How do I get it working?
I just change my router and im not able to connect my systèm anymore !!!!I put 2.4 ghz I did everything Thatcher sonos ask me I cant see my systèm Thanks
Trying to add a new speaker to an existing Sonos system doesn’t work with the new Sonos controller on iOS.There is a way to workaround this.Firstly, in the controller try to add the new speaker as usual. You will get so far and the app will keep crashing. You’re probably getting an error like this: Secondly, you need to go into the controller app and choose to transfer ownership of the system (settings/manage/transfer system ownership), putting in your account as both old and new owners. All speakers including the one that you tried to add unsuccessfully will now transfer to your account and work perfectly.
Hi all, I had a stereo pair of Play:1 speakers in my living room and I have since reset them and removed from the living room. When I first removed them, I removed them as a stereo pair and then the app put them as stand-alone speakers in the living room and that they were not online. Question is, will that eventually go away? I can't see how to remove them totally from the app. I have the latest version of the app. I had also reset them to factory by using the hold pause-play button till it goes green...
Hi! I am currently trying to install my Sonos Era 100.After following all the steps given in the Sonos App, I still can’t seem to set them up. After typing in the WiFi password, the notice: “Era 100 has been added, but may not be displayed in your system,…“ appears. The WiFi is working just fine and the Speakers are completely new. Can anyone imagine what the problem is and how exactly I can fix this?
Hi, just seeking clarification or possibly a vague diagnosis based on not much information. I have several One SLs, 1 Beam gen 2, one Move, one Era 100 and one Era 300. About 12 hours ago I was listening to music perfectly fine and all speakers were connected to the system. Now, the app is only showing the Eras and the Move, no One SLs or the Beam Gen 2. I have a vague understanding of the fact that the Eras don’t support SonosNet and are slightly different from the rest of the speakers I have. I just can’t understand why the other speakers aren’t showing up in the app. The Beam Gen 2 is wired into the wall by Ethernet cable and the rest are, I assume, connected to its SonosNet. When going to update the Network on each device, the app discovers all speakers except the Beam. Talking to support, they just recommend turning them all off and on again or resetting them, which I’m not going to do as I assume there has to be a network issue just based on the fact that the Eras appear as norm
Hi - I have a Sonos connect that has worked for years - upon the release of the new app, it’s stopped working. I’ve reset it multiple times, and created a new Sonos network multiple times and re added all the speakers in the house, they are working fine, and are over wifi. The connect is using Ethernet. When adding it to the new network via the new app it said it updated the connect - but it still doesn’t work. Please advise, thank you!
using our Play 1 and Beam sound bar in SPAIN… but both purchased in USA. can we purchase a transformer/adapter in SPAIN that would enable us to use these Sonos product in SPAIN? or do we need to purchase new Sonos speakers in SPAIN?
Since upgrading internet I’m aunable to connect my speaker, reading info I would like clarification that I need to do a factory reset as play 1 can’t be found
Can someone chime in on this-the Sonos app keeps telling me periodically to add speakers, that have already been added and working. Anybody have the same issue and or know what to do?
I’ve had a nightmarish experience with Sonos ever since the app debacle and I’m hoping someone is able to assist me getting a simple Arc Soundbar/Sub/Era 300 surround system up and running. I’ve attempted to hardwire all of them but the rear Era 300s simply REFUSE to connect via Ethernet. Granted, I already had two USB-C to Ethernet adapters from Insignia (Best Buy’s brand) on hand and I’ve been attempting to use those. Why spend an additional $80 on Sonos’ gear (for 2) if the underlying technology (USB-C to Ethernet) is brand agnostic?Unfortunately, my rear ERA 300s grab a WiFi connection--and the overall system is now mixing WiFi with Ethernet--and I’m not getting rear channel sound. Under my system settings, there’s no way to “Enable/Disable” WiFi on the rears so I’m forced to accept however the app sets it up. This is absolutely maddening. So here’s my question? Does the USB-C to Ethernet connector absolutely have to be Sonos? If so, how is USB-C to Ethernet proprietary? For referenc

Hello EveryoneI need informations about the Era 300, I want to buy a pair of Era 300 :Is the Era 300 has more bass than the Era 100 ? My library of songs is on a Nas, no Dolby Atmos for the songs, is interesting to have these speakers ? Is interesting about the quality of sound reproduction without the using of Dolby Atmos than the Era 100 ?Thank you forward for your feedback.Warm regards.
My Sonos 5 has gotten very cranky lately. It is in Santa Fe and we have numerous power outages. For the last few months, every time we had a power outage, it was very difficult to get it to connect to the Sonos App. Now, it will not connect at all. I finally got it to reset to factory settings and it gives the blinking green light. Unfortunately, I cannot connect to it by adding a new device. I have ordered a long internet cable so I can connect it directly to the router. The real question is: Is my Sonos 5 toast?
The volume fader has disappeared from my play 3.Reset the speaker and now it will not connect anymore !Very frustrated - The latest app is glitchy and I get booted out a lot now when I sign in. I have read and followed the latest issues with Sonas and their app horrors! For such a smart brand I find it incredulous that they have screwed up so badly. I have read the CEO’s humble apologies but honestly how he should win a gold for how to screw up a great brand!
Since the release of new software I have been unable to connect to a library of music on a Seagate NAS drive. Sonos support has been on my system at least 5 times. Problem was escalated two months ago with no solution yet. I have a home network with desktop & laptop computers plus 2 smart phones.I decided to use another laptop to install the Sonos app plus a few selected music library folders and bypass the NAS drive for the time being. I installed the Sonos app on this second laptop. I did so and a surprise! That laptop connected to the Seagate NAS wirelessly and the Sonos system with 5 speakers works! Then a second surprise the first laptop and the desktop now connects to the NAS while previously (for months and multiple tech calls) it would not.Perhaps this might help others or Sonos tech support in resolving their problems.
