Have a single Era100 connected to a Samsung TV via optical and an Apple TV also. Issue I have is because the TV is set to optical I have no way to control the volume other than the Sonos app. Is there any way to have the Apple TV remote control the volume? I can’t seem find a way round this. TIA
About 8 months ago i purchased a house. The previous owner had installed wall mounted sonos speakers in the downstairs and upstairs bathrooms. When we veiwed the house he pointed them out to us, and played music from them, the sound quality was great, and they look nice too.Anyway, once we were settled in i set about trying to use them. I installed the sonos app, set up an account, it recognises the speakers, but i can't play any music from them. I have powered them off and on etc, spent hours waiting in the online chat support only to get nowhere. I keep getting this message to sign in as the system owner. I sign in but it just loops this message.Does anyone have any advice on how i can get them working, or, is it because i am not the original owner they cannot be used? It would be a shame to have to throw them out.PS. i have no contact with the previous house owner. Any support from him is not an option.
Hello folks,i’ve been having issues playing spotify playlist in all my 4 speakers (old sonos 1 + Beamer) at the same time since the app update. I can only play music at 1 Sonos speaker at a time. Sonos support is cero. I’ve formally complaint. I’m a client in Spain. Reached out to my friends in Germany (same issue). The whole point of sonos environment, is to be ableto play music in different rooms etc. Well, that no longer is possible for me.when I try to play all speakers in all rooms I get this error” please try later, we could not connect” they are all up-to-date and they system shows them as sync but cannot play all at once. It’s been ongoing for a year or 2 I would say.shall I try creating a new account instead and pair them in a new system maybe?thank you for your feedback.José
Why is it that my Amazon speakers work efficiently and effortlessly everytime I ask them to play music whereas my Sonos speakers have caused me nothing but grief and hardship from the day I purchased them? They rarely stay connected to my wifi for any worthwhile period of time and it’s always an exercise in patience and frustration trying to get them reconnected. As for the Sonos app, well it sucks (sorry, no other word comes to mind that better describes it). As with the speakers, sometimes it works, most days it doesn’t. 🤬
my Sonos app loses connection to my Home system pretty much every time I want to use it. Honestly, this happens about once a month and I have to reinstall everything from scratch again. I have probably come to the point where I am just going to get rid of all this Sonos equipment. Quite frankly it is terrible. It sounds great but the connectivity issues make it incredibly unreliable and I have been patient for over two years with three home theatres and speakers in every room. I am going to list all the stuff on Facebook marketplace and just get rid of it. I am going to switch to Sony, which at least works reliably. I have found the same thing with any speakers made by Samsung. The TVs and the speakers simply don’t work too well together. There! This is the best solution I can offer anybody that has invested in Sonos technology. It looks like the company does try to a minor extent to make products that work reliably, but it must be a lot more complicated than it should be. At the end
Sonos5.1 is not recognized in the WLAN
I accidentally downloaded the new app when my phone updated. As it had been many months since I previously tried it I thought i would given it a go, thinking it must be sorted by now. What a disaster. I've six speakers in 3 rooms. They would play faint background radio even though not on. They were Slow to respond aand I'd have to power down and on again. The Beam stopped playing the TV even though hdmi connected Too many issues. So I've reverted back to the old app again.Sonos need to get this sorted
Era 100 making popping noises and flashing different coloured lights, cant seem to stop it. Any ideas please? (Nothing playing!)
I recently changed my router and since then my Sonos system has become a complete mess..I've tried following various pieces of advice from the web but the more I do the bigger the mess seems to get. Should have asked the Community from the start !My system - I just have a pair of Play 3 speakers which were set up as a stereo pair and could play music from my music library, which is on a network drive. I only use the system with the music library, nothing fancy, not playlists, radio etc. I have an old Android tablet with the Sonos 2 app, a Mac with Sonos 2 v16.5, and my wife has an Android Samsung phone she thinks it's an S9.The tablet and the Mac can both access the music library, but they only seem to recognise one of the Play 3s. The controllers on those two devices are limited in functionality and don't seem to be capable of activating the other Play 3. So they can only play music through one speaker. The S9 phone does seem to recognise the second Play 3 but not the first one. A
After recent update majority of my Sonos devices have been constantly dropping off the internet every day or two. It's usually been 3 out of my 7 devices, however it's starting to get worse with the 4th now dropping off. I've gotten so frustrated I thought it may have been my router so I purchased a new $400 router setup. And still they are dropping. It's usually my Play:1, Play:3 and Play One. Looking for answers as I am now holding off on my planned Sonos purchases because of this issue.I've created a diagnostic: ***********Moderator edit: diagnostic number recorded and removed
Hi!I’ve had the combination of Ubiquiti and Sonos for several years. Since 2018.It’s been working very well. Until the ‘new app’ beginning of the year. Lets start with the Ubiquiti Setup:UDM Router with Wifi Enabled 16 port POE switch 2 AP’s directly on the POE switch And the Sonos Setup:2x Play 3 1x Beam 1x Roam 1x OneWhat is currently happening; the app is very slow to connect to the devices. However, at the same time both Home Assistant and direct playback from Spotify work instantly. And even if the Sonos app is working; it seems to be forgetting that it’s playing something. Which at that point results in not being able to control anything.Stopping playback, skipping song, changing volume is impossible at those times. I did change a lot of the Ubiquti settings (which never were an issue!), like snooping, Spanning tree etc. But that doesn’t solve it. Spent in total a whole working day calling Sonos, but we’re not getting anywhere. Has anyone got any clue what i can try out to improv
Sonos has made Play1 obsolete. I might as well throw the speakers away. They cannot be connected to wifi anymore, even after factory resets. One will work if connected by ethernet directly to the router, but the App control for start/stop, or volume is spotty at best. I will not buy anything new through Sonos because they will eventually “improve” that to be obsolete also. All good things must come to an end I suppose.
My Sonos One speaker, is not making pairing sound.Who repairs there speakers in Melbourne Australia?
Have bought two Era100s and a sub mini. Have been trying all weekend to make the system rock. Spent an hour with Sonos support but no progress.I want it to play as a 2.1 stereo system in my living room. No matter how i try it will not work. I can stereopair the Era100s but if i add the sub i end up with one Era playing.I can add the sub to one Era, but if i try too stereopair the second i am back to square one.Evert Component seem too work. Just not together.Any ideas before i return the products?
I love the Sonos products… when there all working! I’ve recently moved home and the only one working is the Beam because it’s plugged into the TV! The rest are non existent… Sonos I will be requesting a full refund because it’s so difficult to get them all connected again! Why can’t it be so simple as‘connect to your new wifi’ login to your accountfind your productslink them to your new wifihey presto we’re live!!! No nothing works!!!!!
I recently purchased ERA 300 speakers for home and a full set of ERA 100 speakers for my medical clinic. Worst mistake of my life. The infrastructure is terrible. We can’t seem to get the speakers in the office to sync and have been forced to only use one speaker in the waiting room that we connect to via bluetooth. This morning at home my app forgot I owned our 300 speaker and keeps showing "Sign in as the System Owner" on the front page. When I sign in, it quickly reverts to saying the same thing over and over. When I login online, it allows me to login but doesn’t list my speaker. I just want things to work. I shouldn’t have to call tech support 3 times per week. I shouldn’t have to search online articles or dig through manuals. I’ve equipped my clinic with multiple forms of EHR, wireless scanners, imaging devices (ultrasound, x-ray, body scanner), etc. Equipment that is infinitely more complex and it all works. I regret buying into this ecosystem. If anyone lives nea
I am struggling with unreliable WiFi connectivity from my router to my Sonos app. My WiFi router plays well with my phone, computer and TV but the Sonos app is a sometimes poor link to my Sonos 5 speakers. Would a Sonos Hub improve my situation?

I cannot get my system to work at all with the new app. I have several speakers in two homes and both systems are worthless. Is Sonos doing anything about this?

Woke up this morning to find my 4 Sonos speakers not working and no content showing in the App. Have tried rebooting all the speakers and my broadband router multiple times, to no effect. Tried logging on and off the App and have deinstalled and reinstalled the App on my iPhone and iPad, all to no avail. Chatted with Sonos on the App and couldn’t send diagnostics to them. Have got to physically call them tomorrow. Any ideas anyone??
Hi I have been having consistent issues with my Sonos and am getting very frustrated. Sonos now won't connect consistently and it often drops the signal and when it is connected it is very slow to a point you can’t control it Sonos products Sonos Arc and bass boxOriginal Sonos sound bar and bass boxThree Sonos one SLSSONOS five original Sonos bookshelf (can’t remember name)original Sonos 3 Sonos is all connected by WiFi Configuration Full sky fibre running the black sky hubSky Q and three mini boxes Asus Mesh running in AP mode (3 x Asus XT8s and 4 x Asus XD5s) . (Still have sky WiFi running but only the sky boxes connected to that) Asus does not handle DHCP as it is in AP mode that's all handled by the sky hub. I have about 80 devices (ring, hue, Sonos, etc etc) connected by both WiFi and Ethernet. I have a scheduled ASUS reboot every night. I have read a lot about replacing the sky router with the Asus Zen WiFi but don't want to just keep reconfiguring stuff with no improveme
Cannot connect play 3 with new router wi-fi 6…
Does anyone know if the auto EQ adjust that lowers the bass output on the Arc Ultra when it’s mounted in the Arc Ultra wall mount can be defeated? I have the Arc Ultra mount and there does not appear to be any magnets under the adhesive cushion strips. It seems like the entire mount is magnetized. This does matter from an SQ perspective in my mind. If you suppress a frequency and then boost it with EQ the boosted frequency will not be as clean in comparison to the unsuppressed source frequency.
