Speakers

I have been a Sonos proponent for the last 12 years.  It has been a beautiful thing with superb   sound quality….. until lately.   I feel like Sonos has taken a beautiful thing and just completely turned it into a lump of shit.    one problem I have is that my speakers are constantly disconnecting while playing the the skipping moves around from speaker to speaker and then all of the speakers will go out and then one of the speakers will come back on and then a few more will come on and it’ll go off on some others. It’s just literally a nightmare.  I will add that I have a boost set up so this should not be a problem since that is the exact purpose of a boost,… to stabilize playback.    but that’s not even the worst problem. Tonight all of a sudden, the audio sounds terrible. I like a lot of good Rich deep base.  I just cranked up my music on my sonos to do my Friday night house cleaning and it is as if none of my setting for base (equalizer, sub volume, etc) are prevailing.   There is

Hi, I was wondering if the placement of my Sub 4 could damage or alter the performance short or long term?My Sub 4 currently is placed between the couch and the wall. The wall has a socket where the Sub 4 is plugged in - while the plug and cable itself are placed inside the Sub’s opening, between the two drivers. Could this be detrimental to the performance of the Sub 4?Ideally it would be totally between the two drivers to hide the plug and cable completely. 

So many issues going on. Any insight would be helpful. What I have:sonos bar & subwoofer (2) Sonos play 1’s(1) Sonos play 5Issue 1: cannot find bar at all. I’ve tried unplugging/replugging. I’ve tried factory reset. Cannot find it at all. I have a new tv and I think it’s too new to connect the bar to use the volume. I’d like to at least use my phone for this. Any ideas? Issue 2: I finally managed to get my (2) play 1’s found through the Sonos S1 app, but iTunes (my main music stream) does not see them. I usually connect these to my play 5, as they are in adjoining rooms and have music playing through all. Sonos is not seeing my streaming through iTunes so I can’t play anything through these. ?? Issue 3: cannot find play 5 speaker over the S1 app. It is however seen through iTunes. Again, cannot join this with the room my play 1’s are in.  Help!! I just want music in my house again. 

Changed my network and 10 days later having tried everything still can’t connect. Absolutely useless  

Is there a fix for the Plat 5 S1 which doenst come up.The power supply is ok, the 12 and 24 Volt is there.Any idea what can cause the problem?

before the update ice be compare all three speakers now I cannot pair my speakers together what’s going on with the system I did updates like they told me too and it still does not pair

I am unable to see any of my 7 Sonos products . I am only able to see the play bar 

New app created some issues but system would still function.  Installed a new WiFi router with new network name and now only my pair of Sonos Ones will connect.  My Sonos 5 will not and my older Sonos speakers will not.

Hey there. since about 2 months ago, which is also around when iOS 18 came out (though im not sure they are related), ive been having issues airplaying from my iPhone (or iPad) to my sonos speakers. Either 1 of 2 things happens: there is a 5-10 second delay and then the music or podcast starts playing, or other times, it is never able to play. there is no error message, and my speakers appear in the airplay list just fine. I have power cycled multiple times my: device, both sonos speakers, and my router. i don't see a major difference when i do. software is up to date. this happens when using a variety of apps to airplay, but does not occur when playing directly from the sonos app (which i don't use). Any suggestions or insights would be appreciated. Thanks! Edit: i should follow up by saying ive spoken to support and submitted a diagnostic but they haven't found anything wrong. Beam not playing. It is connected to wifi, but cannot be found either through Spotify or Sonos app. However, when I ask Alexa to play Spotify it works???? But still doesn’t show in app. I’ve deleted and reinstalled updated app. My play 5 is working fine. Not sure what else to do. Thanks

So I have a manual turntable with Sonos dongle into Era100 used only for this gateway purpose.  When I pair the Era100 and my ARC HT, or any other Sonos devices I have, I loose the pairing once I switch from side A to B every single time.  I guess since no more input is sensed with the ERA100 it must default to not be paired anymore, but this is super annoying and frustrating.  Is there a setting somewhere that I am missing?  Just to be clear the 100 is not being used as surrounds in HT setup, it was purchased specifically to be a gateway. 

Why is the Sonos App so slow to do anything. ?For a reputable company I’m dumbfounded, this is hands down the most frustrating app I’ve ever used. It has been like this since they changed it, why hasn’t it been fixed ?My Sonos speakers are just wireless speakers for my Spotify now (an app that does exactly what it’s supposed too with no issues), I never use the Sonos app anymore, only to group my speakers, which once again it won’t bloody do, Hense why I am writing this. Nothing in my life frustrates me more than this app 🤬🤬🤬

So I have had a Sonos ray for around a year now no complaints at all however it has decided to disappear off my Sonos app and I have tried everything to get it back. Eventually I had to factory reset it and now I have been greeted by error code 1000 in with I feel like I have tried everything and it won’t work. Please help meeeee

First, it requires now your precise physical location (?!) Even then, it can not find any existing product on the network. I highly recommend not to update. Or get rid of sonos before it gets too late 

I just installed two Era 100 speakers in my living room. How do I get both speakers to work at the same time?

This must be another great feature of the ‘new’ app..Have never had a problem changing routers in the past but am now forced to replace my router and find I cannot reconnect my speakers without resetting them and losing all my playlists etc..This surely cannot be the case, there must be a way of updating the configuration of each of my 4 speakers, 3 x Play1 and 1 x One (Gen1)?Can someone offer me a different solution please?

My play 5 gen2 won’t connect with WiFi or with Ethernet cable 

Hey everybody, hope I can find some help for something that’s making me go insane.  I have my Sonos Beam (GEN 2 - v81.1-58210) connected to my LG TV via eARC. This same TV is used as my computer monitor, running Windows 11. I currently have my sound settings like this: It sounds great, works great, as long as there is sound running through Windows. However, whenever there’s a long enough idle, the next time any sound would be produced the Beam sounds like absolute constant loud garbage. Like TV and Radio static at full volume in a wood chipper. This will continue until I mute and unmute Windows.  It does NOT happen when I disable Atmos or use any of the bit/Hz options in Windows.  I couldn’t find much information about this except this post from a few years ago.It helped to understand why it might happen, but simply reseating or power cycling isn’t a fix and hasn’t worked for me, and the OP never came back to confirm if it did for them either.  So I’m making this post because I need he

Play 1 speakers disappeared playbar and surround sound play 1’s present and working any ideas how to reconnect missing play 1’s ? Cheers. 

My Play 1 will not connect to the network via a wifi or hardwired connection.  Why?  What is the cure? 

I recently upgraded home internet and have a new router ( Bell Fibe ) . All devices connect except Sonos speakers. I have contacted Sonos support and was walked through a process. Result was nothing wrong with Sonos….something wrong with Bell - So, I call Bell and they say “ something wrong with Sonos” I have read up some on potential issues and performed creating a separate 2.4G network. All steps successful until the last step, where I  add in password to my Wifi and Sonos says” incorrect password”. The password is correct so this is not actually the issue. It just wont connect. I have seen some other Sonos users have this same issue but don’t see a lot of replies on it and am curious if anyone has found success in any work-arounds.Thank you !-A/G     

As you may know I have had some issues with my WiFi. Sonos app failing to find speakers or Spotify not showing Sonos speakers. This week I upgraded from WiFi 5 to 6 and hey presto, so far the issues are solved. Eh? 

Hi everyone,  I have been playing aroud with some fine adjustment of my bass setings on my sub and suddenly after increasing the bass settings from -1 to 4-5 , the sub said “BANG” and went quiet for ever. No LED indication or any signs of life. I then decided to open it up and find that my PCB is burned. I do not have that much expirience around fine electronics so I would kindly ask you for help. I took a closer look under the burned spot and all looks find, so I assume that issue is only with those components on the top layer. Did anyone had a similar issue?  

The S2 system is a disaster. My current list of problems are:Responsiveness to controls renders the system unusable. It takes 5-15 seconds between pressing play or pause before it takes effect, or adjusting the volume, or selecting a new song, and so on … that is if these requests succeed at all. Many such requests don’t. Searches don’t include content from my Music Library which I finally managed to “configure”. I can see on the Synology logs that the Sonos system is accessing it but I can’t browse the content. A pair of Play1’s that were working as a stereo pair before, on S1, can’t be paired together since the S2 system deems them incompatible. Apple TV is unable to control the volume in the room with a playbar, subwoofer and two Play1’s although this might not be a problem with SonosThis is my second attempt to make use of the S2 system since the S2 fiasco was launched on us earlier this year. It has wasted a considerable amount of my time without providing any positive results. I

I set up a friend’s Sonos system on my account and want to transfer that system to them.  Does that leave my original system on my account?ThanksAndrew
