I just bought a 2nd Era 300 speaker to add to my present Era 300. How come the power light of the 2nd Era 300 just keeps on blinking after plugging it in to a wall outlet. I’m unable to set it up.

Did you purchase the Era 300 brand new? What color is the blinking LED light?

I bought it “Used” in Excellent Condition. The small blinking light is white in color. My other Era 300 speaker lights constantly and is working fine. I supposed the Used one is defective because I couldn’t set it up no matter what.

Did you factory reset it? Any second hand device should be. It might have been done before, it might not. Better safe than sorry, and makes setup work properly.

For what it’s worth, I added two Era 300s today with no issue. Both were new, though.

Hi Bruce, thanks for the reply. No, I didn’t factory reset it. I don’t know how because I don’t see the product when I tried to set it up as stereo pair.

A white blinking LED light means you need to perform a factory reset before you set it up on your network. See the link that @Airgetlam posted. After you perform the reset, the LED light should be blinking green. This means it is ready to be set up.

Oh wow, many thanks GuitarSuperstar and @Airgetlam for your help. I did just what you instructed, to do a factory reset and I did it with success. I also did the other set-up, pairing the 2 speakers for stereo sound, also with success. Now, I’m enjoying listening to my stereo Sonos Era 300 speakers. Many thanks again!
