Just be the best speaker company, your core competencies. Forget the streaming services, customers will decide what they want to listen to. what I choose to put through my Sonos speakers is important to me.I am having second thoughts before investing further with Sonos speakers because of the restrictions. I also believe other Sonos customers have these second thoughts.Your not good in the streaming business, stick to the speaker business, you will gain more repeat and more business with your speaker business.Your business pioneered great wireless speakers.Stay focused with what your customers want.thank youAlex
This has been very frustrating. I recently moved and had to change routers. I was using an ASUS router and had zero issues with my Arc, Sub, and two One SL speakers being connected. I can get the Arc and Sub connected just fine and they work great but the two One SL will not connect to my WiFi and I cannot figure out why. Can someone help me with this issue please!?
I have had a Sonos set up since April 2017. I have a pair of Sonos Ones in the kitchen set up as Stereo pair and a TV Soundbar plus Bass unit in the living room. I have another Sonos one in a room my wife uses as a Studio. To avoid overload on the house Wi-Fi network I have a separate Sonos Boost plugged into the router. All of the units are at least five years old.All of this has all worked perfectly until recently when we have started to get ‘drop outs’ on the set up in the living room when playing music or internet radio. The sound will continue in the kitchen and Studio but drop out for a few seconds in the living room before coming back in again. Any ideas on what could be the cause?I have done some searching on a possible cause but the suggested answer is poor wi-fi and that I should move a offending unit closer to the source. I struggle to accept this as for five years everything has worked perfectly and it has only recently started to misbehave. In any event, the Boost
Idle Auto Disconnect is turned off and yet ERA 300 speaker shutoff and I have to unplug from the outlet and plug back in for it to reconnect.
I how two Sonos 1s (2nd generation) and the sub mini in my home office. I am looking to connect a stand alone CD player to this setup. Which Sonos products (current or discontinued) would accomplish this?
This topic is older and might not have the most up to date information. Please click here to see a list of more topics around the same subject. The sound keeps cutting out intermittently on my Sonos 1 speakers. It’s happening in two different rooms. I have a strong wifi connection
Hi ~ I've had a Sonos 5 and use it daily since 2021. Recently it disconnected, which frequently happens, but this time the prompt says the Sonos is unregistered/unused and must be factory reset. 1) I don't know how to reset this device 2) Will resetting delete my many playlists? Grrrr... Also getting a msg the product can't reconnect to our Wi-Fi. Nothing has changed with router, Wi-Fi, etc in our home. Super frustrated. Have unplugged/replugged the Sonos, the router, the coffeemaker HA! Still silence. I miss my music terribly! Thank you!
I have the playbar, two rear speakers and a sub woofer in two different rooms using the S2 app. All products are showing on the app and connected to the system. However, dining room and bedroom are grouped together for some reason ( they were not until today) and I cannot separate them. Please advise on how to separate them so that the sound from the dining room is not playing through the bedroom speakers.
my Sonos one speaker fades in and out when listening to TV since I stopped My cable TV. I still have Fios internet and the speed is much faster now. Sonos sound bar and rear surround speakers seem fine.
If have changed my wifi and can't reconnect my zoneplayer Play 5
After moving to a new house with a different wifi, our system won't connect.
I purchased a Sanus wall mount speaker bracket and the product simply can’t take the weight of the speaker. It failed twice and had fallen on the floor! The problem I have now is that the side speaker grill has a large dent in it. Can this be replaced and can Sonos do repairs? I’ve obviously contacted the store where I purchased the bracket from to see if they can assist in any way!
I bought a pre-owned Sonos One and trying to set it up. It asks for the email address and password of the account associated with the previous owner's email address. How can I erase or delete that account and set the device up on my new account? Hope someone can help.
I have sonos play 1 and sonos one speakers paired with a hub… I like the look of the new era speakers and other products, they also come with a Bluetooth connection as well as wifi….I would have thought in this day as tech that some older speakers could still receive an update which they could poss introduce a bluetooth connection into or has the bluetooth software had to be installed in to the original speakers. ???I fully understand sonos cycle as 5 years to introduce other speakers etc etc as like APPLE products but ……
Hi there, Concerned I may have to rebuild my playlists in Sonos, comprised mostly of tracks from SoundCloud. Recreating them by adding a track at a time, when there are probably 1000+ different tracks up to now does not sound ideal. After the "partial outage" of SoundCloud last week, no tracks on any playlists from this particular source would play/ will play. Tried many times to load different playlists with different tracks to different speakers on my system (have 3 different speakers)...none of them worked. This same behavior has happened both during the outage, and after the Sonos status page said the service was restored. I tried reauthorizing my SoundCloud account multiple times, both during the outage, and after Sonos claimed service was restored...no tracks from SoundCloud would play from my playlists. Got desperate and tried removing/re-adding the SoundCloud account to my Sonos services, but still nothing plays. Fear this last action may have nuked the playlists. But good ne
I have 2 Sonos Subs, 1 Sonos Boost, 1 Sonos Playbar and 1 Sonos Play:3. I was able to pair all of them except for the Playbar yesterday to my Sonos app yesterday. The Playbar only had orange flashing light. However, when I moved them to a different location and tried to connect again today, it doesn’t work.I have tried to factory reset them but for example, on the Sonos Play:3, I only managed to get the flashing orange light, which never turned green. The light on the Sonos Playbar does not turn on at all. Steps i took for the Playbar was: Turned off power. Press and hold on the play/pause button, then turning on the power. Waited for the light on the speaker to turn flashing orange (which did not happen), then green .The same goes for the Sonos Play:3, which only differs in that there was orange light but no green light. Other things I had done was:Connect the speaker to ethernet Switched wires for the speakers Reset my system on my appSince it had worked yesterday, chances are that t
I have been troubleshooting dropouts on my Play:5s the whole day, and even hard-wired they still dropout playing Spotify. Support is now saying that “They have reached their capacity, please use the upgrade program to purchase new speakers” which is kind of ****. Is anyone else having similar problems? This problem only affects the P100 series speakers, not my newer ones (Play:3, Play:1 which are A100).Replacing my 3 Play:5s with 3 Fives would be like €2000. I wasn’t expecting Sonos to deal with such planned obsolence. Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.
24 hours after winning the current stage of a lawsuit, Google is rolling out a feature that allows individual speakers to be in multiple groups.Google wins Sonos patent case, immediately ships speaker software update | Ars TechnicaWhere is Sonos on adding this same feature? I have an Arc, Sub (3G), and 2xEra 300s. Based on my room positioning, I’d love to use the Eras with the sub in a stereo format to listen to music or for TV/movies use all four speakers in full surround (Arc as bar, Eras as surrounds). I can do this by manually changing the speakers between groups but then lose TruePlay functionality unless I want to spend a few minutes configuring Trueplay every time I switch. It feels a little odd that Sonos is suing Google for (at least in part) a feature it isn’t even deploying despite request from the community for years, based on my searching.
Hi guys. My wife gave me her Sonos Play 3 but I have a different E mail adress and cannot connect my Sonos Play 3. It is in the same house and I cannot remove her account and chage her list.
I created events, made copies of them, and modified them. And now I can see two of them for the first time. Nothing remains of them now. Please direct me to them.Gérald

Hi All - I would appreciate some thoughts, comments or indeed advice of the effectiveness of Trueplay in its current iteration. I use a couple of Era 300s purely for music listening . Two set up as a stereo pair in one room and a single in another room.Initially I bought the pair to start off with and setup with Trueplay before listening to them. They were just placed on top of a pair of sturdy side tables pretty much equidistant from the listening position and below ear level. They sounded fine. The pair was hooked up to a mini sub. However , I had a real problem with the single unit which is in the bedroom. The 300 was below ear level placed on a side table ; again centrally placed in relation to the listening position but after numerous goes with Trueplay it still sounded quite unbalanced with a loss in the treble and voices sounded muffled; sounded squashed in . I tried to position the speaker in different orientations but no joy. Decided to get a dedicated stand with a variabl
Hi all,in the last few days I’m not able to play radio stations (“unable to play Radio station) or music from YouTube (not encoded correctly) from within the Sonos app. if I use Alexa I have no issues and can play music (from free Amazon as YouTube doesn’t play nicely with Alexa) and radio stations. I can even see that playing in the app and can stop the music.I have reinstalled the app but no luck. unfortunately I work during the week and can’t talk to agents as they only work Mon-Fri. any ideas? Thanks,
I have beam 1 and 2 sonos one’s, with the beam under my tv and the ones on either side. It’s OK for TV watching, but pretty thin for music. Is there any way to substantially improve music for 5 or 6 hundred bucks. I was thinking about adding a era300 to the mix but maybe it would just muddy the sound. From what I’m hearing, the beam 1 doesn’t work with anything and the One’s are basically for surround sound. I’m starting to realize if my main interest is music, I have worked my way into a corner. Any suggestions?
When i search for a song it can not connect to YouSee. I can login in to YouSee without a problem when redirected from Sonos.
