I moved home last October to Devon. However, since I moved I cannot get my Sonos system to work at all. My system consists of a sound bar, 2 x play 1's and 2 x play 2's. I am of a certain age, meaning I am hopeless at anything tech related. I am also paralysed from the waist down and so struugle to get into tight spaces which is generally where the wires and connections are.I need help please, therefore, can anyone give me some help please?
Does anyone know if the popping sound with the base of the Sonos one will be solved? I read all the community messages but there is no solution. A replace seems not to fix the issue since I also had that and you guys too. Indeed, true play seems to increase it but still without it I have the issue when played base heavy songs. This is a nightmare because the sound of Sonos is amazing but they seem not to be able to fix this..
I have just added the sub mini to my system successfully with the message that it is connected and it is indeed working. The problem is that it is not showing up in my system. I have un plugged it as suggested by Sonos and plugged it back in several times. It continues to work but still won’t show up in my system.
Hi can I set up my play 3 speakers to work with an era 100?
Can i link just only one era 300 to a beam gen 2 or its only possible to connect a pair of it?
I’ve got two Sonos one SL’s and have paired them as a stereo device. Now I want to use them as stereo speakers while I watch movies on my projector.I bought the Nvidia shield because I thought it could handle it based on what I had read online, but I can’t figure it out.Is it even possible? What else do I need to make this work? I rather not buy a soundbar, as I am trying to make this a minimal setup in the bedroom.
Buenas tardesquería saber si es posible conectar en un par stereo 1 altavoz sonos one, con otro altavoz one sl. al no sé exactamente el mismo modelo, no estoy seguro si se puedan conectar. gracias. Un saludo
Hi all, I’ve just tried to install my new Era300, but the system doesnt find it. I’m having a “guest”-wifi network in my appartment from the owner who lives upstairs. I’ve read somewhere that sonos doesn’t work with a guest network. Is that correct? And is there a way to avoid this? Or is the only way to have installed a new network? thx for your support
Hello Sonos fans, I am able to purchase a Sonos play:5 gen 1 speaker and would like to use it connected to the TV on the line in input. My question is: if I set in the sonos app as line-in source, will it stay as default or will I need to set in the sonos app the line-in source every time I turn on the TV?In addition, I am very curious how long this speaker will be usable without an update from sonos. Any answer from personal experience is appreciated.
I know this speaker is super old and obsolete but it is great and does not need to be changed. But here’s the issue anyway, playback often drops the audio and comes back exactly where it should have if you sang along, or it might stop playing and go to the next track. This would lead me to believe that this could be a network issue but the speaker uses wired Ethernet and my ISP is running at 500 Mbps.No other Sonos products in my house experience any issues like this, albeit everything is original Gen1 equipment: Play Bar, Play Sub, and x4 Play 1I still have to use Sonos S1 app on my Apple device because the Play 5 Gen1 is not compatible.I’ve switched all IP addressing for the Sonos speakers to DHCP reservations but this does not help.Anyone have any suggestions or is it time to upgrade the Play 5 so I can then move to the new app?
I currently own a Sonos 1 and have just moved to uni in September. My WiFi network is a public WiFi which means I can’t connect my Sonos. I was instructed by the support team to use an Ethernet cable which I have bought and plugged in but still no luck. There are two WiFi networks at my accom and there is one guy connected to one as I can actually connect to his system but it requires me to log in but obviously I don’t know the details. Does anyone know what I can do? I just want to play music
I’m looking at using Sonos within my salon, I three treatments 3x3 metres sq each and then a larger reception… I’m wondering if a era 100 or 300 would be suitable in each treatment room and what I would be best with in reception area?
I recently bought the era 100 set. I connected then as a surround sound set with the beam. I was watching tv then wanted to listen to my record player which has a connection to the era 100 and I couldn’t get it to pop up the line in function so I could listen to it.. is there a way to listen to the era 100 as a pair with the record player without un syncing the surround sound? Why is Sonos this janky in 2023…
HelloRecently my dual band modem started to ‘drop’ and not broadcast the 2.4 ghz range so my ISP advised first that I reboot (I did) and failing that, a factory reset which followed. I then set up the same network ID and password as before so that my existing devices (laptops, phones etc.) could reconnect automatically and this worked….except for my Sonos system.Using the app, I cannot get my Play 1 or any other speaker to be discovered. I have factory reset 3 of the six speakers and still have the same problem. My ISP says it is an issue with Sonos? I haven’t changed any other settings, either on the modem or Sonos. Help!
I just bought 2 Move 2 speakers, a Sub 3 Gen and a mini sub, as you can see I like to listen to the bass and the Move 2 doesn't have much power, I'm going to have to return everything since I'm finding out that they can't be connected, so Please if anyone has a solution to this problem let me know before returning all of this, thank you
I can’t seem to get the app to connect withmy Sonos one speaker…
Hi there,I have a Sonos Play one, a couple of weeks ago (after I brought it to a friend’s house), I tried to use it and noticed the speaker was making a static/crackling sound which gets much worse with loud music (the static pattern basically follows the beat of the music). It’s possible that it either had a bang/drop or got a bit wet when being transported, does anyone have any idea of what specifically would be causing this and if this is something that can be repaired (e.g. component replacement)...?I’ve put a video of the noise here (hoping allowed to post link in this forum): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1JDe-nO07ninTQWawY6Os1bAB80K-bqUR/view?usp=sharing Shaun
I have a Sonos arc and a Sonos roam. They Are on the same network. The Roam constantly loses connection to the network and the ark never does. There seems to be a flaw in the Roam . Looking for help
I am researching the best turntable to purchase and I’ve landed on Pro-Ject E1 BT Bluetooth Turntable. I also have a Sons One and a Sonos One SL. The product info for the turntable states: With Bluetooth version 5.0 you can connect wirelessly to compatible Bluetooth audio equipment, with support for Qualcomm aptX HD and aptX Adaptive codecs for a super-stable wireless connection. Does that mean I can pair it with my Sonos speakers? How do I know if my Sonos is compatible?
Can I connect a third era 300 speaker to my existing two era 300 speakers so that they all play together at the same time? Thanks
Dear Community,I'm seriously thinking about purchasing two Roams to play in stereo. Wolud someone please advise whether speakers will work with the Huawei 628 modem router? Speakers can also will play in stereo mode connected to phone/ laptop (Windows 10) and other devices via bluetooth without wifi? For first configuration I going to use stable wifi, Huawei 628 is only my alternative when I’m traveling.
Had our Sonos One for years and we’ve always been able to play songs through spotify on mine and wife’s phone with no issue.A month or so back we had to unplug the One for a few hours due to building work on the room we have always kept it in, and therein started the issue/s. First off, we just couldn’t get the d*mn thing working again. Our phones apparently couldn’t find it as a device. The support team eventually helped us (we had to change the broadband setting on our Sky, and finally our phones “found” it).The issue now, is that only one phone can find the One at any one time, and the only way to connect it, is through the Sonos app (whereas before, the device could be easily found in the spotify app and you could easily “take over” the speaker). If the system is connected to my phone, my wife would have to open the sonos app to try and find the speaker and it’s anybody’s guess as to whether or not it will work. Often it doesn’t, so we ask Alexa to play a certain song and this will
Hi - I’ve read a few threads, but would like to clarify:I have two ceiling speakers (DALI Phantom E80) which are 6 ohm. I have a single third ceiling speaker in an adjoining en-suite bathroom (Monitor Audio AWC265 T2) which is 8+8 ohms.I suspect I can’t wire all three to one Sonos Amp as I would drop below 4 ohm on one channel- is that correct? (I’m new to all this…)Thanks
I have speakers running in a business environment. We are streaming audio and sometimes we loose certain speakers. Not always the same speakers. The problem seems to move around. I thought access point but the speakers that go out are connected to the same access point. Someone had a similar issue in their home and suggested there was a special router offered or recommended by Sonos that solved their problem in their home. Eero Pro 6 routers. Guest network setup. Speakers and all business equipment on the business side, not guest login.
I have a 23 month old Sonos Rome that no longer charges or is responsive in anyway. They have offered me a 30% off coupon. Can’t believe I paid $200 for this!
