Buying an ERA 100 - will I be able to pair it with my existing Sonos ONE SL in a different room? We already have an Apple music subscription and presume we won’t need to take a second subscription when buying this speaker

Pairing has another meaning in Sonos parlance.  You can pair two like model speakers together to play in stereo.  This is a semi-permanent bond which makes the two speakers appear as the same room.  What you mean is grouping to play the same source in different rooms.  Yes, you can group any Sonos room with any other as long as they are on the same system.

You’ll be able to group it. The term ‘pair’ implies a stereo pair, something you will not be able to do. Grouping, so they are both playing the same thing will definitely work.
