I purchased an Era 100 from a big chain electronic store in April. The box was factory sealed when I picked it upThen I sold this factory sealed box to someone on May 5th (Note that i have never opened this box). Few hours later this person contacted me back and told me the unit in the box is a used One Gen2. I can think of 2 possibilties:#1: Someone at the electronic store swapped it before I bought it;#2: The person who bought from me is not telling the truth. So I'm just wondering if there is a way to check when this unit was activated. If it was already activated and used before May 5th, then we know it's #1, and vice versa. Any help is appreciated. "I have a Sonos Era 300 speaker installed on a shelf 50 cm from the ceiling; following Sonos recommendations, I placed it upside down; however, the speaker no longer responds to voice control; does it mean that the microphone is out of reach when the device is upside down ?
We have a Sonos system set up in our house and it works great. I am trying to set up a new system in our motorhome on a different wifi system (Starlink) and am unable to figure out how to do this. I do not want the motorhome system on our house wifi as we travel, hence the Starlink. How do I do this?
I am thinking on buying a audiotechnica LP60 turntable and also a pair of Eras100 speakers so I can play my new records and enjoy a good quality stereo experience. I would like to know what else I need to buy to finish a good setup. Thanks
With a Roam, can i play a playlist stored in the Sonos app via bluetooth?
Hi. Are there any isolating stands for the sub mini?
I’ve been looking for a high quality soundbar for my desk - Sonos, unfortunately, doesn’t make one. Would it be possible to consider adding native USB-C input and volume control to the Era 100? It would make a fantastic desktop computer speaker. There are so many bad speakers in the PC world - it would be great to ingest PC audio into the Sonos ecosystem this way.
I have a stereo pair of One SL’s that are on the mantle of our electric fireplace in a living area section of kitchen, dining and living room area. The entire space is probably around 400 sq feet. Anyway, in adding a Roam into the mix do I add it to the existing stereo pair? Or do I simply call the Roam by a different room name and link them together? Also, if I added two Roams would I link as two stereo pairs? I want to add the Roam to have a portable speaker for occasional travel and use on our patio. Thanks,Alan
Our new home is open where the family room flows directly into the kitchen. I want to add Era 100 speakers to the top of my kitchen cabinets as a “rear” channel of sorts understanding it won’t be truly surround. Anyways the distance is about 40 feet from the soundbar. Do the Era 100s have this type of range to play the signal? As a side note, I was looking at Bose and the range is 30’. Thanks for any help.
I hava a sonos era 300 in the center of a room, if I connect 2 era 100 speakers on the opposite corners of the room, can this 2 era 100 speakers be connected to the era 300 as central, and the 2 era 100 act as stereo speakers, but the era 300 as stereo or dolby also?
Just added mini sub to my era300. Everything was fine then today I played with adding voice commands. When asking hey sonos to play a specific song it did but mini sub never came on. White status light illuminated but no output
I have had a bit of a headache regarding my arc, because it’s connected to my tv a the sound starts to go out sometimes so I decided to reconfigure my system but now if I put my ones, sub and arc in pair mode I can config my arc but then I can’t connect the other ones and if I try to configure the Ones first I can connect the sub but not the arc. is there someone that can help me with this problem
Lost internet for about 2 hours last night. Internal network/wifi was fine. The Sonos app couldn’t find any speakers or do anything. I have music on a local file share and Plex. I ended up airplaying from my phone using PlexAmp, which pulls files off my local Plex server. I was even able to group speakers by holding down the play/pause button. So the speakers were on the network. A variety of speakers (Ones, Move 1/2, Amp). Is this something goofy with my network or is this just they way it is?
Hi there, I recently repaired (what i guess is a gen 1 play 3 as it doesn't have a play button - just mute and volume) and all worked great - updated it to S2 app and connected via 5Ghz no worries. Then repaired a gen 1 play 5, connected using S1 app as gen 1 play 5 not supported in S2 app.. Realised it had connected to the 2.4ghz after getting some drops while playing Spotify. Tried all manner of resets and router settings to get it to show the 5ghz network but no joy.Can someone who knows for sure let me know if it has 5ghz wifi at all? Just assumed it would as the play 3 does - which I guess is from the same generation. Thanks for any help 👍
Sonos one sl speakers no longer play music. They appear in air play menu and can be selected. Apple devices think they are are playing, but no sound comes out. Tapping on the speaker top to change volume moves the volume bar on apple devces, but there is no sound. Actually they play about .5 second burst and then go silent. I have a home pod which continues to play but all other rooms are quite. I thought I would reset them, but the Sonos app says I am not on the internet, but obviously I am.frustrated in St. Louis
Moderator Note: Translation by Google Translate- Good morning,If I understood correctly, when I connect a wired speaker, a “Sonos” network is generated and all the speakers are connected to it.A wired speaker appears in WM0 and this includes the others will also appear in WM0.Except in my system, I regularly have speakers that are in WM1 (which is a Wifi conne
I want to register my products
I have moved into a houseshare which has an existing system of Sonos speakers (using the S1 app) and am trying to set up my own speaker for my room (Sonos One SL) on the S2 app, however everytime I sign in - it just prompts me to join the existing network and won’t allow me to set up my product. The top three options in settings (Account, System, Services) are all greyed out. I have tried to downgrade my product but it can’t find it on the system even after restoring my sonos to factory settings. Is there a way that I can set up my speaker on the same wifi network as the S1 speakers as the app is currently preventing this!
My daughter has moved into a new flat that uses a shared community fibre broadband and we cannot set up her Sonos 1. We have tried resetting on numerous occasions but to no avail. We can’t use an Ethernet cable as there isn’t a modem in their apartment. Any ideas please?
I have the base turned all the way to 10 on the Arc sound bar and when I am watching Xfinity thereis No base sound at all. When I watch Netflix it is better. We do not have a woofer. I thought we did not need a woofer with the Arc sounder.
Our wired “dumb” speakers keep cutting out. They are not wireless, they don’t have an IP address. They are old fashioned speakers hard wired into the Connect Amp. And they cut in and out repeatedly.I have read the forum answers relating to this issue with Sonos speakers but haven’t seen anything with dumb speakers. I wouldn’t expect to get assistance from Sonos as they are not Sonos items. But it’s incredibly annoying.
I read on this forum yesterday that your Atmos speakers will not play Atmos if you group one non Atmos speaker. So my question is that I group my LIving Room (Arc with two play 3 speakers as surronds) with my Office (Era 300) If I play Atmos albums from Apple will I get them in Atmos with the two play 3’s TIA Steve
I’ve been a longtime user of a Sonos One that I love. I’ve been getting into vinyl lately, but since the Sonos One doesn’t have a line in, I decided to purchase a Move 2 so that I’d have the line in for vinyl, but also have some portability around the house when I’m streaming music.I guess the Move 2 was not made with turntables in mind, because it does not work well for this purpose. I’m using a Pro-Ject T1 (also purchased from Sonos) and I have the Move 2 set with line-in autoplay turned on. When I start playing a record, it takes the Sonos nearly 30 seconds to notice that something is playing and turn on, thus missing the first 30 seconds of the song. Once the record is playing, it sounds great.Once the A side of the record is done, and I flip the record over, the Sonos seems to detect the silence and turns off, and it takes 30 seconds to notice music is playing again. If I flip the record really quickly, it will usually play for about 10 seconds, and THEN turns off, before noticing
Hello everyone,My 3 ERA 300s and the sub are connected to my Hisense 90L5HD via Bluetooth. It also works in principle. However, the sound output itself is pure horror. Flat and pale sound output. Is it possible to adjust and improve the sound output in the Sonos app or in any other way? Or do I need an additional soundbar for a good sound experience?Kind regards, Opus
I have around 11 sonos speakers and 3 Apple HomePods. The HomePods work flawlessly for Airplay. But only certain speakers work on the Sonos side for Airplay and no matter what I do, (unplug all speakers and reboot router and modem and finally hard reset most speakers, nothing seems to work I consistently get “unable to connect to “speaker name””. However they all lseem to work on the Sonos V2 app. Has anyone found a fix to this issue?
