Multiple homes, old and new Sonos...

Hi,

I have tree homes. In the different locations I have Sonos 2.0 compatible units, and S1. At the moment I have two accounts. For no good reason. But my question is, in a perfect installation with tree locations and old and new systems, how should I group them?

Two accounts, with S1 in one, again in tree locations, and one account with all tree locations S2 units. Or: One account with all S1:s and all S2:s.

My wishes is to without hassel go to all the addresses and start S2 app or S1 to find those old or new units

It really depends on if all your current S2 units can run S1. There is more information about that at

https://support.sonos.com/en-us/article/sonos-app-version-compatibility

or maybe

If they all can, you could downgrade every device to S1 (if it’s possible, not all can be downgraded), and use just one app for all three locations. Your Sonos controller would then just recognize which WiFi signal it is connected to, and connect to the appropriate system.

What can’t happen, using a Sonos controller, is using a single app to control both an S2 system at one time, and at another time an S1 system.
