Hi, We have a recurring problem with our Sonos Beam. It keeps (appx once every couple of days) playing random tracks at full volume via our Sonos beam. Invariably the television is switched on and the beam is acting as a soundbar. These tracks are tracks we would never choose and aren't part of any playlist we have.I contacted Sonos a couple of months ago and they thought it might be sourced from Spotify (free version). We've deleted Spotify from our devices and now the tracks are coming from Amazon music (free version). This is driving us potty. We have a Sonos 1 in the kitchen and it never plays from that, always the beam. Today's diagnostic report #************ Many thanks Moderator Note: Recorded and removed Diagnostic Number. I have four Play:3 speakers and a Boost that have been working fine for years. Recently, I upgraded the app to the Sonos 2 version. Unfortunately, the new app does not see any of my speakers nor does it see the Boost. I have tried executing a factory reset, as recommended on a number of sites, on both the speakers and the Boost. In each case, the S2 app reports that the item has been successfully set up, only to have it lost as soon as go back to the main screen. It remains lost when I restart the app and when I restart the speaker. I have gone through the setup multiple times, trying to set up everything when they are near my wireless route, with no luck. When I plugged a speaker into the network via an Ethernet cable I was able to retain the settings, but as soon as it was unplugged they were lost again. My network uses a password to connect. Could it be that the S2 app needs that password even though it is on my phone, which is on my network? I can’t even go back to the S1 app as it
Maybe this almighty clusterfgyk is the result of a secret hack which Corporate Command are been forced to cover up with a fabricated cover story of a miraculous update? Or, the Aliens have landed in Sonos Towers & are attempting to communicate with humankind via Sonos speakers. The answer is Out There. 🔊🔊🔊
There is an ant colony living inside our Sonos One. Hundreds of them, eggs, etc. Has anyone had this happen before? It must have been shipped like that.
Hello all, From what I’ve been reading around is that Sonos will be listing which speakers are not compatible with Apple Music lossless but until then has anyone else had problems with a pair of fives and a second gen sub not getting lossless?I have a home theatre setup with the arc, 300’s, and two subs, one gen 2 and the other gen 3 and don’t have a problem with that yet.gonna try unplugging the fives and sub and maybe I’ll luck out. thanks, Gary Edit to my post:checking up on the subs for my theater and noticed that they are both gen3 and the only gen2 sub I have is with my fives. also received confirmation that the gen2 subs are not compatible with Apple Lossless… so upgrade discount on the gen 2 subs please lolModerator edit: Combined posts
I have 3x era 300s and 1x sub gen 3 in large entertainment room for music listening only. 2x Eras were connected in stereo on one end of the room and 1x era 300 is paired with the sub gen 3. the room dimensions = 5 meters x 8.5 meters x 2.5 meters (height). My issue is to do with bass since most of the bass is on the obvious half of the room.Do I need another sub or should I run each era 300 as stand alone speakers (update: I unpaired the stereo set, but now the volume seems subdued at a higher level and the era 300 bass is not great) is it a placement matter? Please help
Hello I want to connect a vinyl turntable to my sonos system. My sound system is made up of an ARC sound system, a SUB and two ERA 100 sound speakers which are in stereo. How can I connect a vinyl turntable to my SONOS system? Will the sound be well distributed across my entire SONOS system? Thank you
One of my subs stops working often. So tried resetting and adding it to my account, but it won’t let me add it to my account. Tried the usual things from the help centre.
Hi folks!!! I’ve seen a few topics about this but I wonder if someone has figured out how to fix the blinking red light.I have two Sonos Play 5 gen 1 that I bought used. They were working fine until one lost connection. I’ve tried to factory reset it by disconnecting the cable, pressing and holding the mute and volume + buttons while connecting the power cable back. Nothing worked. Once I plug the power cable back in, the white light comes on followed by a flashing red light in a pattern. It blinks 3 times, pauses and blinks 6 times, repeating this pattern. I’ve seen some folk sharing the same problem online and managing to reset their speakers, but I have not had any luck. Is there anything else I can do besides what’s suggested online? I have a feeling that it’s going to be a fancy paperweight.
Having a hard time organizing my queue in the order, I want to play it Also, I am unable to add a song that is playing to an existing Spotify playlist These features were available before Did you get rid of these?
Since the latest app update, when I go into settings & turn my sub off it doesn’t stay off. When I come back to play music etc, the sub is on again without me turning it back on. There seems to be no point in having the option to turn the sub off if the system turns it back on the next time you use the system. My daughter uses our setup when we’re out, via bluetootth from Spotify, & I don’t want her annoying the neighbours with the volume & sub, so I turned the sub off via the previous app version. Now I cannot do this since the app update. How can I get the sub to stay off when selected off?
How to repair Sonos Beam 2nd generation in Poland under warranty?
Hi,2 days ago, I updated my Sonos S2 app. And it won’t connect to all my Sonos Speakers anymore. I have Playbar, Play 1 (3 speakers), Play 3, Move…all were working fine until I updated my app. Tried deleting the app and reinstalling, I did managed to successfully connect to all my speakers once yesterday after many many attempts but all gone again today. Anyone having the same issue and know how to resolved this? I tried calling the support line, but queue time is 65 minutes! I need all the help, thanks.
The tech support chat line is pretty much useless. Almost as much as the live agents.
Is there a technical reason why when streaming to a group that contains a Sonos 5 and Play:3 that Lossless is removed for both vs streaming lossless just on the 5. I get that maybe the Play:3 can’t support it but I’ve already successfully streaming lossless on the 5. Would be nice to still support it in the group.
Neither of my Five speakers will play? I see them in the system and my One and Arc play individually and together but the pair of Fives will not. The app automatically switches away from the Fives. I’ve tried unplugging and resetting. I see them on my network but can’t get them to play anything. Any advice? Thank you. I did update the app and am aware of all the issues with the latest app release. I am asking if anyone knows of a fix for this issue in case it’s not app update related. Hi, it seems to be impossible to listen to my sonos system after the upgrade. It either cannot find the components or it cannot connect. I dropped it. I now use native Spotify to play music. If it does not get fixed I’ll kick everything out and buy some better stuff
Tried everyting. Rebooted Roam. Rebooted router. Of my 10 Sonos unit this one Roam just won’t update… error 30! forever. And NO use of it now - NO connection. (Now is says error 1001… gosh)Now what? (Also - hate the new app: my 50k plus tracks on my NAS are not accesable anymore - I am appauled - even Sonos fan boys are … silent). Shame on you, Sonos.
I have been using the era 300 since January. Once have I had to reset it since it wouldn’t work. But the other they it stopped showing up and now it is registered in my app. When I try to register it, it just say that it didn’t work and I should try again later. I have again tried to reset it but still says the same. This is my diagnostics number: *************Moderator edit: Diagnostic number recorded and removed.
Just ready to factory settings and now after step by step set up my play 5 second gen does not show up in app
Hi,When switching off an external audio device that is connected with the Line In (Sonos Five Gen2), the speaker responds with a pop noise which is not for the driver, I guess. Is there any way to avoid that except switching off the Sonos? Thanks and BR,SampleBricks
Hi ThereI just updates the Sonos App to 80.0.0.4. Also in the Background it seems that the Firmware of some of the products have been updated from: Vers. 16.1 78.1-51070 to 16.2 79.0-52294 except for the Sonos Connect that stayed at the former FW 16.1 78.1-51070.In return I am no longer able to stream from the connect to any of my speakers and I have several… Any suggestions what I can do to use my beloved Connect?

Sonos 5 not updating
Have just set up our pair of Era 100 in stereo, absolutely love them, only issue is the mic. They are at other side of the lounge and giving voice commands while they are playing music involves SHOUTING commands. We had this issue with the previous pair of One and One SL and in the end we used an echo dot next to were we sit. We have a spare echo dot but for the life of me I can't remember how to set it up, any help or advice would be appreciated.
