I have a Sonos one SL individual speaker plugged into ethernet and I am unable to update the network in this new speaker that I got for eBay. Sonos says trade out the router with Spectrum, but it has been updated to the latest firmware that is supposed to fix the problem.
Since it seems impossible to contact any support rep I will try this since it is the only option. I doubt if it will help.OK I don’t know why I should expect SONOS “Support” to work better than this horrendous release but it seems impossible to schedule 2nd level support with the link in the email I was sent. As unusable as most of SONOS after the recent “Upgrade”Link leads to a bizarre page with no ability to select the day for a session and a list of incomprehensible times around the world. WTF???This after wasting 2 hours last week in an unsuccessful attempt to restore access the the digitized music on my laptop that had been easily setup and used prior to the last “upgrade”How do you guys stay in business?
So I’ve just bought 2 Sonos Era 100s. The description suggested I could connect using either Bluetooth or wifi. I don’t have wifi - I tether from my phone, which is the cheapest option for me.I could not get the speakers to talk to one another without wifi so went to a friend’s house and set them up using his wifi. Worked perfectly and managed to pair them to get stereo. But back home that’s not working. I thought I only needed wifi for the set up and pairing - do I need a permanent wifi in my home?Super disappointed and didn’t think I’d be having this problem, so I’d be grateful for any help
I tried resetting my sub by unplugging, press and hold power button, and plug it back in. The orange flashing light remains flashing. I called customer service and did the whole process mentioned above and still doesn’t work. Does it mean it’s broken? The rep offered me 30% off a new one if I returned it. I laughed at her and said I am not doing it. I want to fix this issue. Can someone please help? I have 2 Gen subwoofer.
Arghhh!! Stalls ALL THE TIME!! Not my wifi BTW
I bought a Beam 2 sound bar and two Era 100 smart speakers. I was able to set up a home theater system. I was gone for three months and when I came back I could not detect the speakers on the Sonos iOS app. No matter how many times I reset, the speakers are not being detect by the iOS app. Help!
My Roam just completely died (I think it’s a battery issue) and the App simply says it is ‘Not connected’. I ordered a replacement Roam, but I can’t seem to be able to remove the old one from the system? Is there an easy way to delete/remove it from the App?
Dear Sonos,Given the situation we are currently in, it would be really helpful if you delivered some decent release notes with both application updates and speaker firmware. Confidence is not very high at the moment and it would make it better for people if they could at least see if there is something in there that might help them, or whether they’d rather stick with where they are for now. I know that’s probably not what the developers and support staff want, but I’m also not sure we want to continue being unwitting testers either… I think it’s also been long enough now that you ought to be able to give us some idea of what the fundamental changes are in this new ecosystem, and what some of the challenges are.
Hi all, I have 2 play 1 and a play 3 speaker. Got divorced moved house not touch the speakers for a while. Now there isn’t any support on the Sonos app anymore and I cannot connect the play 3 to anything? Just won’t work but the 2 play 1 speakers work fine. Please help 😁
Ok I have posted before about my recent entry into Sonos world. BUT WOW the mismatch (black/white) pair is so good I have it on almost the whole day while working at home. I have S1 and stream FLAC from my NAS and also play radio station (Poet’s Corner my favourite). Totally worth AU$300 I paid for the clean pair on facebook. Hope the next time I upgrade I can pickup a pair of Gen2 at this price. So sorry to hear about people’s firmware and update issues.
Hello Everyone,I have make a bad manipulation when I listened a podcast on my pair of Era 300.I have put accidentally the volume at maximum (100%) in one time and directly I have put the volume lower. I wanted to know if it's bad for the material ?Thank you for your feedback.
I have 4 Sonos products including a One with Alexa voice control . The microphone icon is greyed out and I have tried just about everything that is given as guidance on various sites. I have tried calling Sonos for support but twice, after 40 mins in a queue I was simply cut off.. like many I’m close to giving up with Sonos who must be in meltdown. Alexa works fine with my other (newer) products like Beam & Move, but just stopped on the One. I’m sure it’s an age / software issue- but all the recommendations don’t seemto restore the function- they say contact technical support but then they don’t answer the phone. I’ve wasted so much time on this and all Sonos do is send me ads for new products. I don’t want to revert to the older software version in cases this causes and issue with other products
Hi I am unable to connect my play 5 after switching broadband supplier , I have tried resetting the play 5 , resetting the app connecting with Ethernet cable nothing seems to work . I can see the Sonos play 5 connected to the WiFi mesh network but can’t add it to the app. I get the error message unable to join temporary Sonos network. Has anyone had similar issues?
is it possible to make a stereo pair from ikea frame synfoniks and sonos era 100?
Hi, I have multiple devices, most of them on ethernet. One is a symfonisk and one is a Play:1 that need to be on Wifi.It worked well, until I had to power off the devices. Now, the Symfonisk would work only on Ethernet. Funnily, when I add Symfonisk to Wifi, the Play:1 would disappear. When I add the Symfonisk back to ethernet, the Play:1 would appear and work again.Sonos has become mostly annoying. Is there any solution for this issue or did anyone experience the same? Both devices were previously successfully added to the system. There must be a thing between 2.5 and 5 Ghz networks or something. Yes, 2.4 has Wifi 4 (802,.11b+g+n) and 5 Ghz has Wi-Fi 5Any ideas? Thanks!PS: close to kick all the speakers out the window, together with the worst piece of software that I ever experienced. No Ace, until Sonos fixed it all.
Can I use Sonos one sl on Bluetooth,,??
Hi @Ian_S I see no evidence of multicast flooding on your network. The Play:3 is definitely struggling a bit - it’s CPU usage is pegged at 100%, and I suspect this will be the reason behind any playback issues on it. It also has only 1660 bytes of free memory. Please try a reboot of the Play:3. As for the rest of your Sonos system (well, and the Play:3 too), it seems the main issue is that the speakers are occasionally not getting connected to WiFi when they try - I see deauthorisation errors. This used to occur back before we supported 5GHz, but a router would try to steer a speaker on to 5GHz anyway. This is happening with multiple speakers and both APs. I’m not sure why this is happening, but I recommend that you give SonosNet a go by re-enabling WiFi on your ethernet-wired Port: Settings » [room with Port] » Port » Enable WiFi - this will result in less DEAUTHs and better connectivity, hopefully. The answer may be in our Supported WiFi modes and security standards for Sonos produ
I have a Sonos Ray and Sonance Garden Speakers. i would like to play tv on both the ray and Garden speakers whe. watching sports. i can play music in any combination but as soon as i add garden to Tv it stops the sound.
Hello,Ex sound engineer here who is desperately trying to get a Sonos configuration to work and stay in sync. I am very sensitive to things being out of sync, especially after working in mastering. I have an ASUS 11000xt Pro router connected to a 10gbe switch which is connected to a 2.5gbe switch that has all Sonos equipment attached to it. All components are connected through Ethernet (cat6). Initially I used airplay 2 to stream to each speaker individually through iTunes on Windows 11 Pro. I used to have the Ones and they seemed to say in sync reasonably well to my Sonos enabled receiver, the Onkyo TX-RZ50. I remember some issues, but nothing like what happened when I decided to upgrade to the Era 100s. These speakers always stay in sync with each other but would often get out of sync with the receiver when on WiFi. So I connected them all to the same switch using Ethernet after buying the USB-c accessory for the Era 100s. They still would get out of sync.So I decided to see if I usi
Je n'arrive pas à connecter mon enceinte à mon réseau WiFiLors de la mise en route, l'appareil ne clignote qu'en vert et non en vert et blanc Que faire ?
Can’t get my system upgraded to Sonos 2 (finally decided to make the move after putting off the huge investment for this long). I’ve removed all the incompatible devices, The System Compatibility Check option in S1 is greyed out. I have 2 Playbars with Subs and Sonos1’s I left in my system. I could see them both in the S1 app, but when I go to the S2 app, it says nothing can be found. Tried a factory reset on one of the playbars and then put it in pairing mode (I hear the tone but S2 still says no products found.). Both playbars are using wired connections. I can still see the second Playbar in S1 (but the one I factory reset is no longer in S1). Also, whenever I try to Check for Updates in the S1 app, is says my app needs to be updated and takes me to the App Store for the S2 app. I’ve deleted and redownloaded the S1 app to make sure I have the latest. Not sure where to go next. I wanted to make sure these systems move to S2 before replacing all my other setup with S2
Hi,Recently noticed my Gen 1 Play5 has begun to make static/crackling noises when in standby mode. Not noticeable when playing music through the speaker but there’s a faint electric noise as soon as the music stops. The noise doesn’t go away. The unit also heats up on the back, which makes me suspect some kind of an issue with one or several electrical components. Anyone else with similar problems? MPO
I have recently changed WiFi network and have been unable to connect my play1. It seems to be added to the new network when connected by Ethernet but then when disconnected can’t be found on the new system??
I recently reconnected my Sonos to a new network but my Play1 which I use in a sleeping room doesn’t turn off the status light. I had it off previously - but there doesn’t appear to be an option in hardware. Any ideas?
Hi, I have just got a new router and had to reconnect my play 1 via ethernet cable. Had to factory reset the sonos, the app picks up the play 1 but as soon as I disconnect the cable it loses the connection. Youtube videos say to go in advance settings, but there doesn't seem to be such an option on the app I have. In the setting there is an option to enable or disable the WiFi and the enable WiFi part is ticked. Any ideas please 🙏 thanks in advance.
