Speakers

During Era 100 setup, am asked to stop apps on my iphone from using Airplay. How can I tell which ones are using airplay? I normally have my phone audio routed to my hearing aids. I have turned that off. I don’t know what other apps could be using airplay. The set-up procedure can’t proceed until this is answered.

after update cannot find my products in the system

I have been using Sonos for several years. I have a play and a one SL. I just bought a Sonos Ray. I went to install it yesterday and the app prompted me to download an update. I did that and the Sonos is coming up in the Sonos app. But when I go through the steps to register it, it’s saying that it can’t register to my account I have, checked that it is on the same Wi-Fi account that my other devices are on and my other devices are still working. But I still can’t register the device. I gave it 24 hours and tried again and it won’t register. I have tried to call helpdesk, but it’s a 70 minute wait both times I’ve tried , does anyone know how to get it registered? I’ve rebooted and I’ve reset factory settings before and rebooted Wi-Fi. Also tried ethernet cable. Any help would be appreciated. 

I have never been able to successfully connect my Sonos to the app. I’ve reset it five different times it finds it on my phone via Bluetooth it connects to the Internet and then it’s never in my account. We were given this speaker a gift three years ago and I’m finally getting around to see if I can get it actually work. thanks any help would be appreciated. It’s a Sonos one Gen two speaker. 

Era 100 was working fine with my Wi Fi then I changed internet service to fiber optic. All other devices on my new network are working fine except era 100 was not recognized. I performed system reset, I got the speaker tone and the instruction said to press button when light was blinking blue - except I didn’t see any button to push and eventually it just timed out. Is there an earlier version of the speaker that that applied to? 

Hi All,I’ve been fighting with my sonos speakers for about 5years now. I never seem to lose hope and each year I think I figure it out, then a few weeks go by and im back to square one. This year I really thought I had it figured out by creating a dedicated network just for my speakers and then advertising a 2.4Ghz only wireless network for that network which again only my speakers connect to. That way there is no more sonosnet. There is no other interference on the network.  Everything worked great for 16days and then i wake up to: Here is what the speakers look like on my network when this happens(notice the “wifi” column - theyre all dropped off from a router standpoint...but in the app theyre in a state where they are connected to the wifi, but they arent responding? how?..):So I reboot my entire network. All devices go offline. This is very disruptive, but its gotta work right?: ​Nope theyre jacked up still...everything else on my other networks are connected right back up. Sonos

Just purchased a Play 5 and Era 300.Era 300 added and updated flewlesly witin minutes.The app sees the Play 5. And wants to update, but I am unable to. Have tried resetting, restarting, stripping naked, praying, and Allé other tricks in the book. It’s downloading update for 1,5 hours and den error 1014. Makes no sense. Start over. No luck for 2 days.Is it the new app?Or is it somthing else?

Hello,  I’ve a Sonos Play 5 Gen 1 from a friend for repair. It died and he replaced it already with some Symfonisk models, but we would still like to safe it from the landfill and use it in the garden. Up on first inspection I found a series of bad caps at the output stage (replaced), 2 on high voltage side (replaced) and one after the 24v conversion (replaced)   Now it generally works again, but it keeps lowering the volume after some time. Since this seems to be a software protection thing I would appreciate it if some diagnostic could be shared so I can get an idea of what to check else. Thank you very much. I was thinking of purchasing a Era 100,  but I need to know if it will work with DLNA as my Beam and One do.  I don’t use the Sonos App much as I normally control everything from a combination of Jellyfin and Home Assistant.This means from the Jellyfin web interface I can queue and steam from my local music library.   I notice Sonos are saying they are not supporting “on this device for Android”,  but I am not using Android, but simple DLNA.Obviously I can always simply buy a 2nd hand One or an Ikea speaker, if the Era is not good enough to support normal streaming. 

Play 5 gen1 will not connect to Sonos1 app

I have Eero as my router and after the update with Sonos it won’t connect without a speaker being connected with a Ethernet cable.  How can I make it wireless like before

Play 1. Will not connect to BT network, when Sonos Beam in same house, has connected fine to same network.  Using same Sonos app that I've set up the Beam successfully, I've reset to factory settings four times (holding the pause button until orange light flashes,). It goes into set up mode no probs. The app communicates with the Play 1 via the temporary network, it then gets to adding the password for the BT router, but despite trying 5 times by entering the correct password, it will not connect. I've plugged in an ethernet cable direct to the router, and it doesn't recognise it either. As well as factory reset, I've powered down the Play 1 four times, I've also re-booted the router too.  

The Sonos 2 app doesn't work - it won't connect to my speaker. My android Bluetooth is working and finds the speaker. It trys to connect by it fails with a message that says I have to use the Sonos 2 app. The Sonos 2 app can't find my product.Please helpThis is so frustratingThanksRuss

Updated the App Yesterday knowing I’d have some issue,  but what I’m experiencing doesn’t seem to have been posted. My Beam connects to an older TV in our bedroom which only uses Optical. After the update it stopped playing audio from the TV, I resettled the beam, and did a reconnection, and it says it longer connected to the tv. I’ve unplugged the cable, tried a different HDMI… still unable to connect. The beam itself can pair to the system, so I’m able to play audio from it. But disappointed the app has broken the only reason we use our beam… for watching tv.

So I've tried everything tried over 15 times to connect to the app I tried customer support my father when he used to use these (yes they are so old they have been passed down) he said they were High maintenance but they won't even set up I've tried ethernet and WiFi it's just not working 

Hi guys, I’ve got a constant clicking noise from one side of my playbar, help line says it’s damaged beyond repair, not had it 5 years, warranty out, this is outrageous for a speaker of this quality, anyone else had this problem? thanks

Hello, I just bought a new speaker, Move 2, and it doesnt work to connect. We have tried different phones and networks but it doesnt work, how should I proceed?  Edit:Can it be because of the update the 6th of June? Moderator Note - Combined posts.

I’m about to buy a pair of Era 300 speakers to replace my One SL’s as surround for my setup.  However, as I was cleaning my One SL’s last night, I discovered cracks on both of the speakers near the top side edges.  This had me really worried because my old Play 1’s bought in 2017 had developed these cracks after 5 years, and they started peeling and tiny pieces breaking off eventually.  The One SL’s are less than 2 years old.  I then searched the internet and found a lot of people are having similar issues with all kinds of Sonos products including the Era100s which just came out last year. Sonos really needs to do something to address this issue.  There’s a nice Father’s Day deal for the Era 300 right now, but I don’t think I would risk investing further in Sonos products, not until this is addressed.P.S attached a pic of one of my Play 1’s; you can see that there’re some holes now on the top after all the peeling and breaking off. 

I recently moved.  I am currently using the Sonos s1 app due to a couple older Sonos speakers.  I have: 2  play ones  1 play:1  1 play 5  they are all visible on my app.  however when I try to  play everywhere I cannot get them all to sync and work.  I can only play the two play ones at the same time to make music. If I select the play:1 and/pr the play 5 no music will come out. however if I start by selecting the play 5 I can only play music out of that.  same with the play:1 I am unsure how to troubleshoot this and get them to all play the same music at the same time. Please advise potential solutions.

I can't set my location in the app settings so I can get weather and news reports. When I ask the speaker for a weather report it tells me to set my location in the app under voice control settings. Can anyone help me with this?
