I have had a Sonos system for years and recently purchased the Move. I cannot tell you how disappointed I am with it. My wife gave it to me for my birthday. I tried using is yesterday for Memorial Day outside. I had used it with a Pandora station and it worked find. However, when I tried to use it with a Sonos station, it worked for perhaps two minutes and then I got no reception at all. Trying to start it up again was almost impossible. I have a Sonos bride and boost installed in my system. I was ready to throw it out I was so frustrated. I loved the station but could not play it. My son had suggested connecting it to blue tooth, but that did not happen. What are your thoughts? I have always been most happy with my system but not so much with the Move. Help Joe
Following the latest Sonos update, my Playbase no longer appears on my Sonos system through WIFI. All other speakers on my system appear and work like before. The playbase has been moved around to try and fix the issue but this has not helped. I,ve rebooted and actually set a factory default on the Playbase. The Playbase appears on the Sonos system when it is hardwired with an ethernet cable and works as it should. When I unplugged the cable the Playbase disappear s from my system, plug it back in and it reappears. I need help in solving this new issue. Thx
My sonos 5 generation 1 device only sounds the bass, how can I solve this problem?
Anyone experience with using a network cable for a Sonos One put on a Sonos Shelf? There doesn’t seem to be much space for a cable to go in and not bend the cable (bad for performance) as the space between the shelf and wall is so limited…Was thinking of a flexible ethernet cable, but even these connector are rather big...
I bought my speakers in the US and brought them to a holiday home in Spain (using a basic converter). This has worked fine for over a year. Recently there was a huge surge in the building and it blew out several things. For everything else I just replaced the cord and not the appliance. Ex: my charging cable for my laptop blew out but my computer was fine. Unfortunately my Sonos One doesn’t work now even with a new cord. Is there anything that I can do?
Hi, I have a Sonos system ( 2 Speakers Play:3 and their bridge) today I have noticed that the entire system stopped to work and be connected to the home wireless with no changes to the main internet or wireless connection. Can you please help me to address the issue and reconnect the Sonos system to wireless?Thank you Carmine
Hello folks!I just ordered an arc + sub to replace my play base. I live in a 1200 sf apartment on the corner of the building and my living room is to the outside so there are 3 walls between my living room and my neighbor next to me (bedroom wall, 2 closet walls, and bathroom wall) I don’t think the sound from the sub will travel through all that at reasonable volumes but I am worried about disturbing my downstairs neighbor. Would an isolation pad under the sub help? Or would that not really do anything because of the force cancelling drivers in the gen 3 sub? Any apartment dwellers with the sub have any insight?
if you get a text message on your phone when playing an internet streaming service like XM or iHeart Radio do you hear the text over the speakers or through the port? If no, is it because the speakers or port is streaming the service direct from the internet and not the phone or is it just because that does not happen when on wifi unlike bluetooth?
Hi I would like to disable the touch control sound effects. So that when I adjust the volume all I hear is the volume of the audio changing rather then Boop Boop Boop I like the sound effects generally on this device, on.off and bluetooth switch, etc. But would like to have an Option to have no volume sound when adjusting volume using the + - touch controls Thanksnick
Is it possible to have a pair of wall speakers that are wired to a CD player which I can opt to play music from my iPad wirelessly? Or must I have a have a separate pair of speakers for both sources?
My Sonos Play all of a sudden will not power on. It is approx 3 years old. Have difference power cords, reset etc. Any other ideas?
Whenever I use any of the buttons on the 'Move' device there is a loud chime which is too loud. I can not find a way to stop the chime or reduce its volume.
Hi folks, I have a pal who has the same system as me...2 Play 5 Gen2’s and the Sub.He is about to embark on fairly regular business trips(lasting about a week each time).I am asking this in his name…...Since he feels more comfortable not having his system plugged in while he’s away, can he “safely” shut it off(pulling the plugs, obviously) for say a week at a time and then safely re-plug everything in.Basically,if the system has been in a plugged in mode, with all components on for a while, does turning it off occasionally have a negative side effect,is his concern.I myself don’t know either.Greatly appreciate “thoughtful” feedback.Much thanks
Hopefully I am posting in the ocrrect section. I upgraded to the Sonos Arc at launch from the Playbar, I also have the Sub (Gen 2) and two Play 3s (Rear Speakers). I have never got Atmos to work on my current setup, current QLED supports DD+ but no matter what I have tried, the Atmos logo will not show in the app. I have put this down to the TV and will be upgrading to etiher the LG CX or Q90T, I am hoping this will allow for Atmos to work. My questions is, does it matter that I am using Play 3s instead of Ones to acheive Atmos?
Hi Everyone:I have a Sonos 3 player n my bedroom. For three of the last five nights, my Sonos has turned on in the wee hours of the morning (e.g., 3:30 Am). The Sonos app was turned off on my phone and the sonos was silent when I went to bed. My phone and computer are off. Any ideas why it is turning on??
I have several Sonos products and I love them all. My wife and I own 5 Play 1’s and a Sonos Beam are considering buying even more speakers soon. However, I was repositioning one of our play 1 speakers when I slipped and dropped it on the hard floor. There is some cosmetic damage which is my fault and I could live with, but when I plugged it in to check the sound, to my dismay, all low frequencies sound scratchy and flabby. Is there any Sonos repair program? I still have to check our purchase date, but I’m fairly sure we’ve passed the 1 year warranty date. I would certainly rather repair a speaker than buy a whole brand new one. If you could get back to me with some options that Sonos offers and prices that would be great. Hope to hear some good news!
Hi There,Could someone help me with my Sonos Move i recently purchased. My whole sytem is now running on the S2 controller, and the newly added Sonos Move was successfully added to the Wifi network. But i have 3 different Wifi networks around the house, as i do not have coverage from one network on its own. Therefore when i move out of rang of the network that the Move is configured to, it becomes unavailable on the App. I need to configure the Move with the 2 additional Wifi networks, so it can maintain connectivity whilst being moved around the house. How can i do this??
Hello, I have a very simple question, I no longer have Sonos, but I do have homepods! (Sorry) iIf I was to purchase a Sonos sub g3, would that work using Airplay 2 with my Homepods?? many thanks again..
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DeC5s71aqA4&t=631sLot's of you are familiar with Peter's excellent video's. I asked him to do a review of one Five vs Two One's (I'm on his Patreon) because that question is so often asked here and on the Sonos community forumReally interesting. I'm using one Five in the bedroom since soundstage isn't a concern if you are right in front of it but you notice the lack of soundstage quickly if you aren't in front of it. I also have two HomePods in the bedroom for room filling sound. Why Sonos doesn't put an RCA jack in the One's I'll never know. They would sell a ton of them as computer speakers.I always mention that the 3rd Gen 5 is an upgrade even if Sonos downplays it. Better detail and everything is faster and more reliable. Starting and stopping songs Airplay 2, etc.,
I have a 23x26 garage. The left side is used as a home gym while the right side is used to park a car. I have a Sonos Play 5 (2nd gen) on a table in the center of the far wall (wall that runs parallel to the garage door) which is angled to point at the left side. I was thinking about getting another 2nd gen Play 5 to put next to my current Play 5 to create a stereo pair. I was wondering how much better the stereo pair would sound vs a lone Play 5?
When i login to my Sonos.com account it states my 2 Play 3are not compatible with S2 app but they play great no problems.
Hi team, I have a small study where I work at home and I have a One for listing to music and podcasts. The layout of my study is square, and I can either put the One on a shelf behind me about waist height, in the corner behind me at the same height, or to the right side a little lower.Any ideas on what would be optimal? I’ll obviously have a play around too just wanted to hear people’s experience with a similar setup.
Either I'm misunderstanding or this scheme is just encouraging people to throw away perfectly good Sonos equipment. The way I read it, you "trade up" by selecting an eligible device and it then gets deactivated by Sonos for you to bin. This is surely ethically wrong?
Hi everybody, a couple of 5 in stereo pair bought 2 days ago. My daughter took my phone and put a song at max volume: 100%. Do u think it could cause any damage to the twitters inside? Is there any way to check it by removing the grid? thankslorenzo
