Thinking of updating to an arc and want to use my current playbar as part of my music system. Is this possibleRegards
Will the Move work with my Sonos system if I am on the Sonos 1 app Since I purchased my speakers in 2017 I cannot use the Sonos 2 app
Play 5 gen version 1 or 2 ?
I’ve seen a few similar questions on here but no clear answers. How moisture resistant is the Sonos move? Can it be used in the bathroom while taking a hot shower without sustaining any damage? The fan in our bathroom is broken so there’s a lot of steam/condensation
When I use the Bluetooth connection for my MOVE it’s volume is half what it is with wiFi music. I’ve tried turning the speaker up all the way over wiFi before I switch th Bluetooth and max out the volume on my MacBook as well. I bought the move specifically for outdoor movies and I’m really disappointed with the lack of volume.
Hi, can anyone tell why it isnt possible to run dual subs with a stereo pair of Fives when it is possible with the much inferior Beam?
Just connected my Sonos Arc and the sound is tinny. Sounds like voices are in a tin
Ive got a Sonos Beam connected to a Sony TV. I’ve now added 2 x Sonos One SL speakers. My Beam is added to the room name ‘living room’ & i’ve also added both of the One SL speakers to the same ‘room’. However i’ve now received an email from Sonos whch is suggesting that i should have added one of the One SL speakers to a different ‘room’ in order to stereo pair them?? If this is correct how can i disconnect one of the speakers to add it to a different room without removing all surrounds. Thanks
My understanding is that the Move individually is mono unless you buy 2 and create a stereo pair. By mono does it mean that both channels are combined into one speaker? In other words will a mono speaker contain all the musical information that a stereo pair would have (i.e. vocals, instrumentals, etc.) in one speaker. Sorry if this question is confusing. Also, I read that the Moves Bluetooth's version/format could be a problem with Android Devices but not IOS Devices. If this is true could someone please clarify this. Also, does trueplay work when the Move is in Bluetooth mode? Thanks in advance for any and all help!
Hello, I am very new to the Sonus system, having just bought my first Sonus products, a Sonus Arc and a pair of Sonus One SL as surrounds barely a week ago. The setup which I had expected to be straight forward and easy wasn’t so, as the surrounds weren’t connected at first and took me a few tries. And when I accidentally turn off one of the power switch to one of the surrounds, that Sonus One SL speaker was “lost” and not shown in the Sonus app after I turn it back on. It is like several minutes later before it appears. So far, other than the initial hiccups, the system is working great, at least most of the time, although I experience sound cut-off when playing movies from AppleTV. But that will be for another topic. I am thus wondering what exactly will happen if I turn off the power to all my Sonus device at the same time? And when I turn it back on, will the system finds itself and preserve it’s settings? Or I have to find to re-setup everything? And how long does the system tak
I am having trouble with a speaker that goes offline. After an hour on the sonos chat and then on the phone with technical support I am no further forward. So I have taken to doing my own research and this is throwing up some questions, which might help me get to the bottom of this. First question - in the app - system - about my system: the ‘associated product’ IP address is (I understand) the device that the app gets all the system info from for all devices. The speaker it is using is one of the furthest away (but not the one that goes offline). Is there any rhyme or reason to which device Sonos chooses?
I have a SONOS system (10 zones, 12 players) that, after years of messing around, had finally become fairly stable and reliable. (I use SONOSNET to link the speakers, not my WiFi) I recently added a SONOS Move and was having issues with it disappearing from my system every few hours. The “Find Missing Product” system function in my Android App didn’t help. By the way, after failing at step one, it asks you to plug a hardwired CAT5 connection into the missing player. Good luck doing this on a Move! There is also no graceful way to back out of this function once you are in it. I had to Force Stop my Android Sonos controller App ! But I digress. It turns out that a setting on my Ubiquiti Unifi network was interfering with the Sonos Move, but not my other 12 players. There is lots of information available on the advantages of limiting broadcast and multicast messages over LANs with multiple Unifi access points. I had done this for some time with no ill effects on any of my 75 or
I’m connecting a pair of JBL C60PS/T subwoofers to my amp. My system has 2 amps each running 2 pairs of jbl pendants. 1. Do I connect the pair of subs to only 1 amp? Or 1 sub to each amp? 2. What do I need to connect the wires from subs to RCA out on amp?
I need some help please because I have 3 sonos connected (2 play 1 and 1 play 3) and I always hase connection issue with Wifi. Several time by day, i lost the connection with my wifi for a few minutes. I always have the 1001 and 1002 error message. I tried to reconnect my sonos a few time but with no effect. Some help ?
So I recently went with my SONOS move to a holiday trip 3000km away from my home wifi. At home I limited the overall loudness of all devices to 40%. Then I realized, that this limitation/setting persists even in bluetooth mode and there is no way to change this setting to get 100% of the possible volume abroad. I had to reset the whole device to make the limitation disappear. In my option this is a bug and the volume limit should not be persist over Bluetooth and WiFi. As an alternative it may be possible to have two volume limitations. One for the bluetooth mode and one for the WiFi mode. Or the SONOS app becomes able to manage the device even when connected using bluetooth. This problem was also discussed here.
When the Move is operating on wifi my understanding is that you have control of treble and bass via the S2 app equalizer and the app shows the Moves battery status. My question is how do you control bass and treble and monitor battery life when operating on Bluetooth? Also, does anyone have any idea of the replacement battery price?
New Move speaker turns itself on and starts playing when I open the Sonos application on my laptop. It is grouped with other speakers. Even when the other speakers (grouped) are muted, the Move will turn on and start playing all by itself. This just started happening today. The speaker is new - only have had it about a week.
Hello Community. Just received first Sonos so I am learning. I use YouTube TV on my iPad to watch tv. Cord cutter!! Is there a way for my iPad to connect to my Sonos One SL? Thank you!
Hi,I have the Sonos Move and it says the battery will last for up to 900 ‘charges’. What is exactly considered a ‘charge’? Is it when I lift the speaker up and set it back down on the charger instantly? If I never take the speaker off the dock, would that just be one ‘charge’ and will help the battery last longer? Thanks!
Dear mr or mrs,I have recently purchased the new Sonos move and connected it to my system. However, since then it has made the rest of my pre-existing Sonos system disappear. I have reset multiple speakers multiple times but nothing seems to work. Is there anything I can do?Many thanks,Jamie
I have a playbar, sub, two sonos one(gen 2) configured using the sonos ones as surround speakers. The mic (for Alexa) works on one of the sonos ones. I believe when the sonos ones are used as surrounds, only one mic is active. Is this correct?I want the active mic to be on the other sonos one. What is the best way to accomplish this?
Hi, I connected my turntable and cassette deck via my amp to a Connect device after changing rooms. It was working about 2 months ago and I haven't changed any of the connections since. All I have done in the interim is updated the controller and the Connect software however now when I select 'Line In' it tells me to 'connect a device to a Line incapable Sonos product'. I have unplugged and re-inserted all connection but still no joy. Any ideas on what is wrong? All are S1 devices.
Had Sonos move for 6 months and randomly the sound can turn up loud for no reason at all. not sure what’s happening?
How do I connect a Sonos 1 play to a hotspot? (I dont have a router)
I just bought an Arc, and I can’t connect my analog CD player to it without some sort of device, yes? Meanwhile, I’m awaiting the arrival of a new Sonos Subwoofer and two Sonos One SL speakers. Will any of those devices help me connect the CD player to the entire system or will I have to buy an additional Sonos device? What is the cheapest Sonos device I can buy (new or used) that will connect the CD player to my system? Thank you so much!
