The subject line says it all. I have been using Sonos 1 and SonosNet because my CR-200 is a heck of lot more convenient than messing with my cell phone every time I need to interact with Sonos. The problem now is that SonosNet has become more problematic with multiple dropouts. I was about an hour on the phone with tech support (thank you, Sonos) but to no avail. Rather than continue to troubleshoot this (and I’m sure there is ultimately a solution since it used to work flawlessly), I’ rather switch to WiFi if it’s more robust. Thoughts?
I want to create a new system with my Sonos Era 100 so I can move them to another room. My Sonos Era 100 both belong to other system I have in my living room. Is this possible?
I am having trouble connecting to my Play:3 so I attempted a factory reset. My steps:1. Unplug device2. Hold Play/Pause3. Plug in deviceIt flashes white for about 10s, then starts flashing amber. At that point I stop pressing Play/Pause. It the continues to flash amber pretty much forever... well I gave it 10m but I'm assuming it won't process to green. Please help if you have ideas! TY
I have two outdoor Sonos speakers. If I place one on the backyard deck and one on the front porch, roughly 50ft away from each other, will the sound be good in both speakers? Or will the bass come from one and the treble from the other? Thanks
Lately I have had a very hard time connecting all of my speakers to my Sonos. I have 5 speakers in my workout room and every time I workout at least a couple of them will not connect and I have to go through the steps of unplugging the Wi-Fi router and then waiting for it o connect again and even that doesn't connect all of them. I used them for 3-years without ever having an issue and then it started and I don’t knw why I am having so much trouble connecting. Please Help :-(
Does anyone have much experience using 300s as a stereo pair? I was thinking of using them with a Sub for music. Reviews I've seen range from excellent to poor imaging and a "sonic mess" for stereo. I guess that's because the drivers point in all directions. Other reviews love them. I wanted to hear from someone other than a youtube reviewer. My room is maybe 16 ft square and is on the padded side for a living space.
Just a general question without all the specifics. Which has better sound overall for streaming music Beam 2 or Move 2? I have the 2 Eras and Move 2 already and just added a Beam 2 but like the Move sound and versatility better. Anyone using 2 Move 2s in one room?
In looking at https://support.sonos.com/en-us/home, do I need to do anything more than these steps in order to register my Sonos? I already created my account and logged into it on the SonosCheck your Sonos system’s registered email addressIf you’re not sure which account your Sonos system is registered to, follow the steps below to check using the Sonos app.Open the Sonos app for iOS or Android. From the Settings tab, tap Account. Here you’ll see the email address that your account is registered to.https://support.sonos.com/en-us/article/check-your-sonos-system-s-registered-email-address
Sonos Ray appears in Control Centre AirPlay list but NOT in HomeKit app. Tried adding using ‘other’ options and though a Speaker icon appears - assume it IS the Ray - message indicating HomeKit cannot connect, ensure iPad is on network?
When I click ‘Network’ under settings it wants me to log in. It won’t let me no matter how many times i succesfully reset my password.I just want the arc to connect to a new wifi extender instead of the old router!
Hi. I have just purchased an era 300 to add to an existing Sonos 1 in our lounge. How can I get these so that they are permanently grouped and always come on in sync, either on the alarm or when I ask Alexa. It worked fine when I had two Sonos 1s paired but recognise I can’t do a stereo pair with the different products but i do still want to group them so they play together.
Is it possible to migrate compatible Sonos units one by one from Sonos 1 to Sonos 2 systems? Most of the incompatible units I have are in hard to reach places and so would be much easier if could keave the Sonos 1 system as is and gradually move the compatible units one by one to new Sonos 2 system (which I have in one room). Thanks for any suggestions.
There is a locked thread with an unacceptable answer (put a sticker :D)I simply searched “surround test” from Youtube and played “5.1 Dolby Surround Test”.The lady kindly announces “This is the right/left surround channel” from the specific speaker, and it was easy to switch the places (which were of course wrong way around after moving the house)…Same applies for stereo pairs, equivalent stereo tests exist. Or then just use balance as somebody indicated in the “sticker thread”…
Hi, I would like to know if it is possible to connect the Sonos Play 5 to the TV. If you can connect a turntable via RCA cable, it should also connect to the TV. If anyone can give me some clarification. Thank you
I need a way to use Sonos without giving location. My local network is my local network and location is irrelevant so I don’t want this intrusion in to my business. I don’t want to have to report my whereabouts to the manufacturer of a piece of hardware I buy. The concept is frankly bizarre.
My two Era 100 speakers are suddenly not pairing up...each plays some different and trying to group them isn’t working...please help!
This is the the worst Sonos product out there, and we have 15 total products. the connection almost never works; it won’t charge, and the music cuts in and out almost every attempt. don’t buy this piece of crap
There appears to be no setting to disable sound effects for touch controls on the Move so when adjusting the volume of the output, you get a disturbing beep for each tap. The volume of the beep is tied to the volume of the device so the louder the volume, the louder the beep which is distracting given that it plays over the intended audio. There are a couple of closed posts on this topic from >1y ago (indicating that this also affects other products than the Move) with an answer that says Sonos will refer it to their engineers. Sonos, can something be done about this seemingly pointless (to me) function to at least handover control of it to the user?
When I move my speaker from 1 room to another, unplugging and plugging back in, it disappears from my system, I then reconnect it by holding the connect button whilst I plug in. I follow the connection instruction and all works until I move it again. is there anything I can do to stop this from happening every time I move the speaker??
Hi,I suppose that after the streaming from app is stopped the Ray will go after a while in standby mode or I’m wrong?Thank you!
Hello all,About two days ago, I asked a question about adding existing ceiling speakers to my current set up (Beam2, Sub Mini & 2 Play One). I have been advised not to.I still want to use these ceiling speakers (independently of current Home theatre set up) as one of ceiling speaker is in a different room and it’s a pity not using it:)The cheap option I am looking at is to get the ZP100 as an amp for these speakers.1st question (maybe a bit stupid): As ZP100 is quite old, do I need to connect it to my broadband via ethernet cable? or using Sonos bridge? or will it connect automatically to my wifi as any other recent Sonos product?2nd question: Is it ok to have my current home theatre set up on S2...and these ceiling speakers on S1?As I said, I have no intention (anymore) to group these speakers with my other Sonos products… I just want to use them because they are already there :)Many thanks guys
Setup my first Sonos system in our bedroom. It’s not overly large, but a pretty sizeable space: 17.5’ x 19.3’.I started out with 2 Era 100s as a stereo pair + a Sub Mini. Ran Trueplay and put the system through its paces. My initial reaction: Color me impressed. Solid, full range sound, even at extremely low volumes for nighttime listening. The Eras have impressive imaging and presence in the room, and pair exceptionally well with the Sub Mini. They lack a little bit on the high end, so I applied a +2 Treble to extend the highs a bit before they roll off. I was particularly surprised at the smooth, uniform output from the Sub Mini, even with it being corner-loaded. It’s not going to win any awards in the 25Hz SPL category, but musically, I could not ask for more from such a small sub.Given that I never want to leave a question unanswered, I recently took advantage of the sale on the Sub Gen 3 and ordered one to A/B compare against the Sub Mini. The Sub was placed in the exact same l
I have a problem with one of the Sonos One speakers, I press the touch button on the microphone but it doesn't turn on the light or work, I have reset it several times but it has stopped working, does anyone know how to fix it? Thank you
I am new to forum. The basics about my system- I have two 100’s and two 1’s in room. All my music is in the format of mp3s on Amazon Music. First, I’ve followed manual to the letter about setup, and am wondering if there is anything about “four in one” that might be helpful. Second, and most importantly, I’m getting noticeable distortion when listening to some classical tracks- but only orchestral music and not solo piano or jazz and rock. I’ve had a friend listen and she hears it also, so it’s not just me. I’m wondering if the distortion has anything to do a frequency problem, given that orchestral (strings, basically) sounds probably differ from others that aren’t affected. Thanks for any suggestions. DT
I have 2 Play 5 (Gen: 2) in stereo with a sub gen 3 for lots of punch. But I figured out, that when I change the volume on my left speaker it doesn’t change on the sub, so if you put it on 10% in the app then to 0 on the speaker, both of the speakers will go quiet but the sub still plays the song That doesn’t happen on the right speaker or the app Not a major annoyance for me, but interesting and something someone should look into
