Do the wireless speakers still have a power cord or another form of power? Thanks

I have the Playbar and 2xPlay:1 set up as surround sound, this works great for tv but when playing music I would like the Play:1s to revert to standalone or stereo, but it appears the only way to do this would be to ungroup them. It would be good to see a software driven update to this issue to make switching between modes simpler. Just wondering how many others would like to see this implemented. Thanks

Hi folks. New to Sonos but enjoying it so far. Easy set up but have one question regarding my Play 5. The volume controls on the Play 5 work as expected with my iPhone, iPad, and other music services. However, I'm using the line in cable from my Sony Bravia to get better sound out of our TV. There's a tremendous discrepancy between volume levels when I run the line in vs my other audio sources. I have to really crank the iPhone or TV remote volume controls in order to have even moderate sound levels from the TV. Any ideas on potential setting issues in either the Sonos app or my Sony Bravia sound preferences? Thanks!

Is there a way to shut down the Sonos when finished using or does it just stay on all the time?

What happened to good old fashioned Bluetooth? Wtf is with the play 1 not connecting to my laptop? I should have investigated better. Sound is good, but the speaker should just connect to all our devices, it's BS man, total BS

Evening all, Just wondering if this would be possible.... Away in the caravan, with no wifi. Could I create a wireless network using my iPhone, connect the Play 1 to that network, then stream from my iPhone/iPad to that network? There's no such thing as a stupid question, just a stupid person, so go easy on me. Thanks in advance for any help.

this is is my problem:- I have one play1 in Room - "Bed room". I have one play1 in Room- "hallway". I have two play1s (L+R) in stereo mode and a SUB in Room- "living room" questions: 1. How do i remove the play1 from "hallway" and add it to the room "living room"??? 2. How do i delete or remove "hallway" from the controller app? I tried to reset the play1 in hallway. after reset when i tried to set up this play1 as new player, the controller app didnt ask me which room i want to add. it automatically added to the room "hallway". I dont want to group different rooms. I want to move play1 from one room to another.

I have purchaced 10 sonos 3 to a bar/cafe. I need a program to force the volume limit .It's forced by the cityhall. Otherwise I can't use my speakers and will have to buy a new system

Hi, I just got a Harman Kardon Onyx studio 3, as a christmas present from work. I currently own a Sonos play 5, sub and play 1. My question; is it possible to connect the Harman Kardon to my sonos setup using a sonos connect? I would think the Harman Kardon has a built in amp. Or should I use a connect AMP? The Harman Kardon has only a aux input, so I`m also wondering about if I can connect it using the digital output on the connect? Thanks for all answers!

Hi everyone, I just purchased a couple of SONOS PLAY 1 in Spain (which is where I live). I am planning to complete befroe end of the year my SONOS System with one more SONOS PLAY 3 and a SONOS: CONNECT, to be bought from UK, where they are certainly cheaper. My questions are: 1) Would these components bought abroad (UK) work properly in Spain? 2) Would any adaptation be needed (power cord, power adaptor, I guess...)? 3) Would be there any incompatibility issue between components bought in different countries as UK/Mainland Europe? I use sonos at work but want to bring them home for parties. I first connected at home and both play 1 I own worked fine. Then I connected to work and they worked fine. But when I bring them back home only one connects. If I reset it the other one connects but I can't get both to connect. Wireless is the same. Please help. I've tried over an hour with repetition, connecting via ethernet, shutting everything down and restarting it. Nothing works!

Sonos & Spotify

I like my sonos products, but sometimes when I go to a audio shop and lissen to speakers of manufactures like Dali ore Elac I hear that good floor standing speakers with good high mid and low units really sound great (and better than my play 5- old type) and sub of sonos). I saw an other company making great stuff and I see a speaker I miss in the sonos line....floor standing speakers. The Raumfeld stereo L is an example. Are there plans that there will be a Sonos 7 floor standing speaker in the future?

I work in an office with one server and several switches plus a wi-fi that goes throughout the building. It seems that I can't setup Sonos on our office Wi-Fi as it requires a username/password configuration in order to logon. I don't think we have a router either. How do I set up Sonos? Can I just plug a Boost into a spare port in a switch? I don't know much about servers so please explain in layman's terms. Thanks for all your help/

I want to use play 1 with existing Soundbar. set up suggests I need a left and right, so 2. I may also sometimes put it in another room for music. Can I use one play 1 with sound bar AND can I change location and set up of play 1 within my home. Thanks in advance.

I can't play anything - it says 'Queue not in Use' and I can't add anything to the queue to play it! Can someone help please? Seems to be more and more problems with Sonos... 😞

Is it possible to change the wifi network for the player without connecting to router via ethernet cable?

Allow device groups to be locked so that they don't split when power is lost to one or more devices and are powered back up.

As part of a recent reno I ran Ethernet cable to many rooms in the house, and hence I have the opportunity to hardwire some of my Sonos units. Is there any downside to this? Or is it always a plus?

Why do my speakers in group when not in use needing me to re group each time I turn them back on ?

I'm relatively new to Sonos. I have a playbar, 2 play:1s & a sub. I’m not an techie geek, I just like my music and films, and genuinely believe Sonos provides one of the best indoor, audio experiences I’ve had to date. However, I recently visited Southampton Boat Show and saw the Kube. It was awesome. The sound quality was crystal clear. Brilliant for a summers evening just chilling or throwing a party. What a pity Sonos don’t do something similar. Could they work together. I suspect not. Kube appear to have their own ambitions, so Sonos need to come up with their own if they are to maintain their revered status in the industry. It seems Sonos keeps quiet on futures but I thought I’d say this anyway. Makes me feel better and hopefully lends some weight to community opinion. If Sonos do feel like commenting please feel free!

I have always wondered why there aren't multiple manufacturers of Sonos stands - surely there is demand for this product out there? I find Flexson to be overpriced and heir customer service is awful (no responses to repeated email inquiries). Moreover, as far as I can see their new Play 5 stand isn't yet available in the US. Does anyone know of any other options apart from Flexson for a 2nd gen Play 5 stand?

Are the line-in sources for Play 3's & 5's really only iPads, iPods, and iPhones? This is what is noted on this topic at the Sonos website: Audio line-in: Auto-detecting 3.5mm audio line-in connection. Listen to music that’s stored on an iPod or iPhone: Dock, charge and wirelessly play the music from an iPod or iPhone with the SONOS DOCK (sold separately).

This is an odd one. I had my Sonos system connected up to a wifi network, all running fine. Then I changed the SSID and password of the wifi network, and tried to reconnect Sonos. But now the advanced settings won't connect, and my Sonos controller is telling me my wifi isn't compatible with Sonos. But IT WORKED FINE before I changed the name. It can't have suddenly become incompatible just from changing the access details, so what's going on and any idea how to fix it?? Thanks.

I have 2 Play 1 speakers setup as surround speakers for my playbar, but can't find how to turn off the White LED status lights for these speakers? Could you please help me with some directions?
