Speakers

I use sonos at work but want to bring them home for parties. I first connected at home and both play 1 I own worked fine. Then I connected to work and they worked fine. But when I bring them back home only one connects. If I reset it the other one connects but I can't get both to connect. Wireless is the same. Please help. I've tried over an hour with repetition, connecting via ethernet, shutting everything down and restarting it. Nothing works!

Sonos & Spotify

I like my sonos products, but sometimes when I go to a audio shop and lissen to speakers of manufactures like Dali ore Elac I hear that good floor standing speakers with good high mid and low units really sound great (and better than my play 5- old type) and sub of sonos). I saw an other company making great stuff and I see a speaker I miss in the sonos line....floor standing speakers. The Raumfeld stereo L is an example. Are there plans that there will be a Sonos 7 floor standing speaker in the future?

I work in an office with one server and several switches plus a wi-fi that goes throughout the building. It seems that I can't setup Sonos on our office Wi-Fi as it requires a username/password configuration in order to logon. I don't think we have a router either. How do I set up Sonos? Can I just plug a Boost into a spare port in a switch? I don't know much about servers so please explain in layman's terms. Thanks for all your help/

I want to use play 1 with existing Soundbar. set up suggests I need a left and right, so 2. I may also sometimes put it in another room for music. Can I use one play 1 with sound bar AND can I change location and set up of play 1 within my home. Thanks in advance.

I can't play anything - it says 'Queue not in Use' and I can't add anything to the queue to play it! Can someone help please? Seems to be more and more problems with Sonos... 😞

Is it possible to change the wifi network for the player without connecting to router via ethernet cable?

Allow device groups to be locked so that they don't split when power is lost to one or more devices and are powered back up.

As part of a recent reno I ran Ethernet cable to many rooms in the house, and hence I have the opportunity to hardwire some of my Sonos units. Is there any downside to this? Or is it always a plus?

Why do my speakers in group when not in use needing me to re group each time I turn them back on ?

I'm relatively new to Sonos. I have a playbar, 2 play:1s & a sub. I’m not an techie geek, I just like my music and films, and genuinely believe Sonos provides one of the best indoor, audio experiences I’ve had to date. However, I recently visited Southampton Boat Show and saw the Kube. It was awesome. The sound quality was crystal clear. Brilliant for a summers evening just chilling or throwing a party. What a pity Sonos don’t do something similar. Could they work together. I suspect not. Kube appear to have their own ambitions, so Sonos need to come up with their own if they are to maintain their revered status in the industry. It seems Sonos keeps quiet on futures but I thought I’d say this anyway. Makes me feel better and hopefully lends some weight to community opinion. If Sonos do feel like commenting please feel free!

I have always wondered why there aren't multiple manufacturers of Sonos stands - surely there is demand for this product out there? I find Flexson to be overpriced and heir customer service is awful (no responses to repeated email inquiries). Moreover, as far as I can see their new Play 5 stand isn't yet available in the US. Does anyone know of any other options apart from Flexson for a 2nd gen Play 5 stand?

Are the line-in sources for Play 3's & 5's really only iPads, iPods, and iPhones? This is what is noted on this topic at the Sonos website: Audio line-in: Auto-detecting 3.5mm audio line-in connection. Listen to music that’s stored on an iPod or iPhone: Dock, charge and wirelessly play the music from an iPod or iPhone with the SONOS DOCK (sold separately).

This is an odd one. I had my Sonos system connected up to a wifi network, all running fine. Then I changed the SSID and password of the wifi network, and tried to reconnect Sonos. But now the advanced settings won't connect, and my Sonos controller is telling me my wifi isn't compatible with Sonos. But IT WORKED FINE before I changed the name. It can't have suddenly become incompatible just from changing the access details, so what's going on and any idea how to fix it?? Thanks.

I have 2 Play 1 speakers setup as surround speakers for my playbar, but can't find how to turn off the White LED status lights for these speakers? Could you please help me with some directions?

I just got my Play1 & Play3. How long do they need to stay plugged in before I can use them wireless?

Bummer! I really like our Sonos system but really wish there was a way to sync my Amazon Echo with it. Voice activation is the way to go Sonos! Please figure this out Sonos. Why reinvent the wheel?!

With the current discount promotion on the play:1 I was thinking about getting a couple for my bathrooms. But then I saw the magic words "or while supplies last" at http://www.sonos.com/en-au/shop/play1.html. A discount + end of production is what Apple do when they want to clear stock ahead of a revised model. Are Sonos doing the same with the Play:1 ahead of a gen2? It is three years old now although still a great design. So unless a refresh is definitely not pending I will hold off my purchase. Probably not what their marketing department intended...

I recently purchases a Sonos Play 5 system, and am experiencing interference. My router/bridge is located in another room. Music will play fine for extended periods, but then suddenly there can be interference (static, skips, gaps in playing, or stopping altogether), even when other wireless devices are not in use. If I am unable to solve/address this problem, I am considering returning my Sonos Play 5

Can't use deezer on my Sonos but can on deezer app!

Hi there, I am new to Sonos. One of my setup is a stereo paired Play3 with Sub. Appreciate any feedbacks/views on a stereo paired Play3 orientation. 1. Is there any difference between horizontal or vertical? 2. For a vertical orientation, any difference if both speakers are placed with the Sonos logo inwards or outwards? Many thanks!

So my home system is currently set up with a wireless router downstairs and a sound system upstairs.  My sound system is basically a Yamaha amplifier with various speakers and other audio visual equipment connected to it as well as a laptop with all my Itunes music on it.   I can access my itunes music library on my laptop through my smartphone or ipad (via wi-fi) from anywhere around the house and also control the volume through this however to enjoy music downstairs or in the bedrooms I have to put up the volume in the living room considerably and still not giving the desired effect therefore I ask: Would it be possible to link a SONOS speaker to this type of system so that I can transmit music either directly from my amp to the wireless speakers so that wherever I place the speaker around the house it will play the same music that is playing on my sound system without me needing to raise the volume too high in the living room?   Alternatively would it be possible to l

I have Play 5s in several bedrooms. I was thinking about adding a Play1 for two bathrooms. As I've read about pairing Play 1s for stereo playback, I'm wondering if anyone has a view about whether they would rather listen to one play 5 in a room or a pair of play 1s?

I'd like to see Sonos develop: 1. a truly wireless Play:4, with docking station for charging the unit. 2. an add-on battery-pack for Play:3 and Play:5.
