Do the wireless speakers still have a power cord or another form of power?

Yes, they still have a power cord. The Tesla Coil feature is still not ready for market. 😉

All of the Sonos products can, in my opinion, be thought of as permanent wireless (wifi - not bluetooth!) appliances. They are always on and always connected to your network wifi router (and presumably that is always connected to the internet.) This allows them to do what they do so well, but requires that they have permanent power supply - hence the power cable to plug them in - no battery power, etc would really be practical.
