Hello, Had Sonos play 5 for a while. Stopped working on Wifi. At the moment using ethernet cable. When trying Advanced settings > wireless setup I get "wireless problem" message. Password and SSID are correct. Diagnostics number: 1318001570. Any help would be appreciated.
Having installed the most recent update on Sonos (couldn't use it without doing the update) I now get a flashing orange light and am unable to use the player. Any thoughts. Am connected via ethernet but have tried wirelessly as well.
I just want to confirm, that it IS possible to add a Play 1 (with Alexa) to a set up with just 2 One's. I just want the Play 1 to be in a seperate bedroom for music, not to be used as a stereo set up in the entertainment room.
Currently I have two Play:1 speakers stereo paired in my office. I want to be able to AirPlay from iTunes so I bought a new Sonos One which is AirPlay compatible. Any thoughts on how to beat arrange the three speakers? Should I replace one of the stereo paired Play:1 speakers with the Sonos One and take the Play:1 home or is there a configuration using 2 Play:1 speaker’s and a Sonos One that would improve the sound over just a stereo pair?
I want to upgrade from Play 1 to Sonos One. For my current Play 1's, I fixed the power cable in the wall wiring to conceal it. Can I use the same power cable with the new Sonos One?
Will i be able to play netflix with sonos play 1 using mobile phone?
I realize it's not weatherproof and wasn't supposed to be, however, it sure would be nice to have some sort of cover for the Sonos Play5. I have it on my patio next to the pool. It's under the awning and won't get rained on but it still would be good to have it protected a little when not in use. Form fitted vinyl cover would be perfect. Something that wont get blown off from the wind. You guys could slap your logo on it. Would there be any heat generation if covered?
I had two Play1s in the lounge, one in kitchen and one in conservatory and. Bridge connected to my router. Two days ago I added a Beam and set up the lounge speakers as surrounds.I also disconnected the Bridge but connected the Beam to the router.I grouped the kitchen and conservatory together.I will only use the Beam etc for tv and the kitchen/conservatory for music and radio.Since then I am finding the radio turning off every 20 mins or so.When trying to reconnect to radio I get a message from the app telling me Sonos is looking for connection. The latest time it happened Sonos asked me tio add a player, even though app inducates everything is connected. Can anyone help its very frustrating.?So far I have had no trouble with the tv side of the system.
I'm looking for a wireless speaker without power cable and with integrated battery, mainly for outdoor usage. In the past (August 2014) I have asked this question through Sonos technical support and they answered that Sonos planned to release a portable model with battery, expected launch in 2016. However, I still can't seem to find such a model in the available products. Anyone who has more information on this topic? Otherwise, I am obliged to purchase a product from competitors, who do have this in their product range. E.g. Bose SoundLink Revolve - https://www.bose.com/en_us/products/speakers/wireless_speakers/soundlink_revolve.html
I’m a little hesitant to share these observations, given that my previous contributions to this community consisted mainly of flip-flopping on the issue of a single Play 5 gen. 2 vs a stereo pair of Play 1s, but I thought this might be interesting to some here: Whilst there’s lots of discussion here regarding a stereo pair of gen. 2 Play 5s vs a pair of Play 1s with a sub, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a comparison between the Play 5 pair and a Play 1 pair without the assistance of the sub. Whilst I realise not many will be choosing between these two options, given the cost difference, I did happen to get the chance to compare these two set-ups directly yesterday: Set up as stereo pairs in the same room/location, both with Trueplay tuning applied. The main take-away from the comparison? To be honest, it was quite how amazingly good the Play 1s are relative to their tiny size and price. Of course, on the whole, the Play 5 pair was significantly better but the difference was smaller
I'm thinking about buying a stereo pair of either Play:3 or Play:5 & eventually adding a Sonos Sub. For best fidelity, is it necessary to go with the Play:5, or will the Play:3 suffice with the Sub handling the bass? Thanks, billiam
I may have set something up wrong, but really disappointed in the sound from Beam for listening to music. Thought I'd replace a Play 3 in the family room where the TV is with the Beam. Sound from the TV is pretty good on Beam, but not really hearing much separation in limited listening so far. However, sound when playing music is clearly not as good as from my Play 3 in the same room - really feel I'd be taking a step backwards by using Beam for music and now becomes a more expensive sound bar. Is there some different type of setup or designation for music listening vs TV?
Hi, I’ve just realised that one of my of Play:1s isn’t working. No sound or control. I’ve trying unplugging and no white light on boot. I’ve tried the cable and socket of the other play:1 in the pair and nothing. It’s dead. How can I get support from Sonos? It’s years old so out of warranty? Have I any other options but to by a new one? Thanks Darren
The lights on my two play5’s and my beam stay on now. Is that supposed to be? Or is there something I’m missing?
So we had a Sonos 1 in our living room and bought the Beam, idea being to sort the TV sound out but also use it as an extra speaker in the living room. From what i gather, the beam has to be as a separate ‘room’ (we’ve called it ‘TV’) and I can play music through it when the TV is on - the TV image still plays in the background. But I can’t work out how to play music through the beam whilst the TV is off?? Any help appreciated! N.B. That we only have one Sonos 1 and it’s not set as surround! Thanks
I only have one "room" showing on my app - TV sound bar. I have lost 6 other rooms. Please give me simple advice (I'm not tech savvy). Thanks.
When will Sonos and Spotify work together to remedy this issue? Am able to play any other service fine without interruption. Only Spotify gives, "cannot play track..."
I have a Pilates studio that offers group, instructor-led classes. I am told that the Shure Mic Fitness Headset Microphone (Shure BLX14/SM31-H9 Wireless System with SM31FH Fitness Headset Microphone, H9) can be set up to play over our Sonos wireless speakers. I am told I may need another part because the Sure Mic needs to plug into something (it has an XLR Mic cable connection). What do I need in order to make this work? Thank you very much!
Hi, If i add a sub to my beeam bar, will the beeam change on what frequencies it plays? /robert
I cannot figure out how to switch to playing music from watching tv on my beam by using Alexa. Can anyone help out?
I left my Sonos Play1 out in the rain for three days. It still works. I can't believe it. Yes, I am a moron. That said, I really need a Sonos outdoor speaker, because I am 100% sure I will leave my Play1 out in the rain again, and I don't know how many lives it has. I'm actually quite surprised there isn't already an outdoor Sonos.
When are Bluetooth and outdoor speakers going to be available?
Sonos, Please post the BTU and typical in-use power consumption specifications for your product !
I have purchased a Play 5 on, as I wanted to just plug in my iPhone and play through the auxiliary input (I liked the sound quality and will build on the system later). The salesperson in the store told me I could do this. I have wifi but no router, and purchased the speaker only (none of the other 'bits'). However, when I've plugged the iPhone into the aux in, nothing happened. The light flashes but nothing plays. Is it not just plug and play? Do I need to set something up through a network first?
Hello SONOS, I am the victim of falling in love with your products and despaired at the same time that only some are manufactured in white. Please, oh please, start making and selling white editions of your products - and from the heat on the forums about this, you are potentially missing out on a lot of money as there seems to be a lot of interest in this. Please hear us out.. Help us help you to promote SONOS to the next level of Customer Caring. Best regards, Jesper
