Hi thereI’ve recently bought the SONOS Arc with a couple of ONE SLs for the rear. Although there’s much to love, I’m a little disappointed by the separation on the front L & R channels. To the point where I’ve started to consider an AVR with separate speakers.I can sometimes hear the separation, but was expecting more. I’m trying to work out if that is a limitation of it only being 50inches and not truely separated. I’ve never owned a proper 5.1 so maybe there isn’t as much separation as I expect. On a similar note, I watched Jack Ryan on Prime and the app reports Atmos, but it doesn’t sound much if all different to the usual 5.1.Does anyone else find this? That’s the only atmos content I’ve been able to find - (I have disney+ but only through my Samsung Q60t and apparently the disney app doesn’t support Atmos through this TV)Is there a sound file I can use to test each speaker? The other thing I though is whether it’s because I don’t have the TV very loud, and when using Trueplay t
Sometimes when I go to play an album through Sonos from my Apple music library I find that the odd track is “greyed out” and is skipped when playing the album. Here is an example: Track 6 from this album is missing when viewed from Sonos. However if I go to the same album in iTunes, or the native Music app on my iPhone or iPad, the track is present and plays normally. It is only missing when viewed from Sonos. This particular album is in my library by virtue of iTunes Match, and I can’t see anything different about this track. All tracks show up in iTunes as “Matched” and I can’t see anything unusual about track 6.I am aware that Apple sometimes block individual tracks so that they cannot be played from Apple Music, but this does not appear to be one of those cases. It is fine in Apple Music.
I’ve had my Beam for several months, and it had been working flawlessly….until 4/3/20. Now I cannot get it to stay connected to my tv. I’ve tried factory resets on both the Beam and the television, I’ve tried different cables, and I’ve even tried running the sound through the supplied digital audio dongle. I can get the Beam to connect to the tv, but as soon as I plug in the other HDMI cables (one for my FIreStick, and the other for my PS4 Pro), sound disappears, until I unplug the HDMI ARC cable from the back of the tv, and sound comes from the tv speaker. The Beam itself sounds fine and will play streamed music; it just no longer stays connected to the tv unless nothing else is plugged in. Also worth noting: initially, it was connected through my FireStick, because it controls our entire system, minus the PS4. But, now I cannot even get the Beam to connect to the FireStick. I’m unsure whether this is a Samsung tv issue, a Beam issue, or a FireStick issue.
I have a turntable (With a built in preamp) with a USB line out connection. Would it work to run a USB to Ethernet converter to a Sonos One speaker in order to play the record player through my connected Sonos system? I know I can run line in through the Amp or Play 5, but don’t have a need for another speaker nor a desire to drop 650 bucks on Amp to use it for no other reason than as a bridge.
Hi all, i just bought a Sonos system with the Arc, sub and Sonos one.iblove them all!my questions it’s when playing music, is it possible to play only with the Sonos one as Stereo system without the sub and the soundbar? thank you.
Hello everybody,I am thinking about getting the Sonos Arc. I do have an old Vinyl Player from the 80ies with only analog audio, which so far I am using with an old Creative 5.1 System thru the headphone jack. Is there any possibility to connect that ancient piece of history to the Arc?
Hi, I’m trying to connect my built in (non-sonos) ceiling and wall speakers to my existing Sonos Playbar and Sub in my living room.I’ve purchased a Denon AVR-X6500H AV Receiver that supports multiple zones (I need multiple zones).I’ve purchased a Sonos Port.I’ve setup Port on my iOS app and it asked me which room, I selected the main room that was already setup, it created a duplicate of the room and numbered it #2. In the app under the device in Family Room #2, it shows the Line-In as “Disconnected” even though I have the RCA cables setup per below diagram. I have not connected the wires for the prewired built in house speakers to the AV receiver yet. Waiting on the wires to arrive in the mail. However, I should be able to use the Sonos speakers for now, no?I’m not receiving any audio at all but I see video. What am I missing that needs to be corrected? Here’s my wiring diagram as of this moment:
Anybody else getting the problem when Apple Music lists fails to sync with Sonos. In particular ‘recently added’ not showing up in the Sonos app? Really frustrating and driving me back to my physical collection and alternative set ups.
Can you please make the YTM playlist simply sort alphabetically? Anything would be better than the random order presented currently. Thanks

Everything I have found says that Sonos Connect sold after 2016 should be S2 compatible? I bought two Connect in 2017, one on October 5 and another on October 7. Both were sold by Amazon Inc directly (not a 3rd party seller) but the Sonos S1 app says only one is S2 supported? I paid the exact same price for both of them and they look identical yet in the About My System they are clearly differentS2 compatible is Series ID: D100 and hardware 1.22.1.4-1.1S1 compatible is Series ID: C100 and hardware 1.17.5.5-1.1 Did I get ripped off?
Will a connect stream music to sonos speakers (line in source), I thought it was the point of the connect? Thanks in advance
HiI have been using Sonos one product for more than a year now and with occasional hiccups it was mostly working fine. However after I recently updated both Sonos and Apple TV, I am having connection issues. Sonos does appear when attempting to connect with Apple TV but as soon as it connects it just plays for a second and then goes silent. Playing any songs. Directly with Sonos app is not an issue at all. But it doesn’t connect with my YouTube app on my iPhone X either. It is very frustrating. I have tried to reset my router as well as Sonos and appleTv but avail. I was wondering if anyone of you facing similar issues and have any solution for this problem. Any help will be much appreciated.
Recently upgraded to the s2 app after using the old one for years. i have multiple vlans setup at home, I have Sonos speakers on vlan10 and then my controllers on vlan20. Been working great until I upgraded to s2. I found some ports have been changed which I added to my firewall. This sorted the issue for controllers on iOS and Android, but my windows controller can’t discover the speakers.using wire shark I can see MDns and ssdp being sent out, I have some other devices on vlan10 respond to mdns but none of them are the Sonos speakers. any ideas?
Just got a Sonos Beam. Connected it to a Sony Bravia TV using HDMI ARC and set up Bravia Sync. Audio is playing great. The TV remote, Apple TV remote, etc can control the Beam volume just fine. However, I’ve noticed that lately the TV is doing what I might call a “hard power down” after sleeping, but only after having slept for some time. By hard power down I mean that next time I try to turn the TV on by waking a Bravia Sync device (like the Apple TV), the TV won’t turn on like it did before the Beam was added. And when the TV does turn on (which requires using the TV remote), it shows the Sony logo, the Android logo, the four rotating color block animations, etc and takes a minute or so to load. My hunch is that the Beam is somehow sending a CEC power down signal to the TV, and the TV is interpreting it as a hard power down. This only happens after the TV is off for an extended amount of time (an hour or two). Any ideas?
HiI have the Sonos 1 system.I have been using the sonos Playbar which I work via an Amazon Fire TV stick connected to the TV.I have replaced the Fire TV stick with a Mecool KM3 Android TV box.All works fine apart from volume controls.I can only get the Fire TV remote to control the volume on the sound bar.I have removed the Fire stick from the TV and removed the batteries from the remote but the KM3will not adjust the playbar volume. When the batteries are replaced the Fire stick remote works with the soundbar volume. At a bit of a loss how to fix this.Any help appreciated.
Hey GuysI just noticed today that Living Room Sub really rattles as if something is loose at 30hz, its only just out of warranty by 3 months. Can anything be done?https://youtu.be/mNkJeo4LgdI
Hi — I have happily had a Playbar hardwired to a Connect AMP in my lounge for a few years now. I flip between having the Connect AMP on its own to use with my vinyl, and then connecting it for surround sound for my TV. It’s become progressively easier with each upgrade, and the last iteration was pretty simple and convenient. My Connect AMP even turned out to be S2 compatible. But now it seems there’s been a new update to S2 and the surround-adding process is different. It seems you can’t add surround unless they’re on WiFi. Is this true? Is my setup dead now? Did Sonos just break the “you’ll always be able to use your system as you have done before” pledge? I’m quite peeved. Thoughts welcome, thanks!
Since version 12.1 (60381140) of the iOS S2 app, on fresh starts (initial run, after force quit or idle eviction) I’ve been prompted to ‘Add a voice assistant’ every time. I never want to set up either of the options available, and would very much like to not have to dismiss the prompt randomly.
how long does it take from processing to shipped? On 10/6 my credit card was charged and disaptcj acknowledged and no movement since then its been 3 days. anyone have same issue?
Maybe it´s a silly question but i want to be sure. I use my play station 4 as my main entertainment system (games, DVD, netflix, spotify etc.). It´s obviously connected to my TV through HDMI. My question is: will sonos beam work? will i hear all the content from my ps4 on sonos beam instead of my tv? I´m worried that only the audio on tv channels is the one i will listen. Thanks for the patience
I’m trying to connect my Playbar, which is connected to my TV via an optical cable, with my In-Ceiling Speakers (which are connected to the AMP, which is connected to ethernet). The Playbar is not connected to ethernet.I’ve tried setting up/connecting the Amp as “surrounds” in the app. They connect, but then sound either 1. Doesn’t play at all or 2. only comes from the Playbar. Are these compatible? Am I missing something?
Set up 2 Sonos Play 5(gen 2) and a Sub. Sound is amazing very happy. That said, I am curios if it was worth the extra $900 versus four ones and the sub. I have 14 days to exchange. Not willing to give up any integrity, but read not worth doing the setup the way I did. Thanks, jason
