Have Sonos considered to add a simulated surround sound to the playbase. A numberof other manufactured now have this
Just trying to figure out how to engage Community to push sonos for atmos implementation.
I use MacBook Pro and it’s Sonos desktop App that is quite limited compared with mobile app. I cannot search to stream podcasts for example, please Sonos improve! Thank you
I want to set up my Play 5 in my condo that only has wifi for the building. I have no access to a wired connection. Would I use a wireless router to create my own wireless network? How do I do that without access to the wired internet connection?
Is it coming or should I throw my speaker out the window?
I recently purchased a PLAYBASE and would like feedback on whether adding the SUB vs 2 ONES would offer more sound improvement, given my apartment space and listening priorities. 1. TV audio output, in the form of shows, sports, and movies (mainly Netflix) will be the main use of the speakers. I'd estimate the usage breakdown is something like 75% Home Theatre / 25% Streaming Music. 2. The shape of my apartment's main room / kitchen is a long rectangle. I've sketched a crude diagram of the apartment to offer some added context. I've identified the position of my sofa, the PLAYBASE, and where the 2 ONES would be located. The main room is basically two 12'x12' rooms that are combined with a 2 foot pillar in the middle. This leads to suboptimal acoustics. 3. My TV is a LG OLED65B7A.
When browsing (Spotify) albums & songs, it is common to see the same album/song listed twice. This is most often because one version is explicit and the other is clean. Unfortunately there is not usually an indication to let you know which is which. *Sometimes* the album art will have the "explicit" label on it (albeit tiny), but not usually. If it's helpful, I always want to play the explicit version. I find it extremely annoying to play an album only to get 2 minutes into a song and realize things are bleeped/altered. Would love for someone to tell me there's already a way to see the difference, but I can't find one.
Somehow I have an itch about getting a projector to replace my TV. The above projector reviews very well with the Ultra Short Throw capability being extremely helpful. The question is. Does anybody know if this projector passes through Dolby Digital 5.1? I'm guessing (and hoping) that it does. I currently use optical outs from my satellite pvr, BT Box and TV but it is a slight pain to have to have to change the selector manually and it is currently stuffed behind the TV so not ideal. All thoughts gratefully received.
Does the Playbar support LG OLED55C7V?
Hi all I am writing this post in the hope it may help those struggling with the above issue(s). The first topic which appears on this in Google is the post at https://en.community.sonos.com/home-theater-228993/solving-the-51-dts-issues-with-the-playbar-34523, which is now out of date. For my part I wanted to set out what I did to "resolve" this issue (or more accurately, work around it). Since the above post, Sonos have written a few useful notes. The most helpful is: https://sonos.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1945/~/maximizing-playbar-sound-from-your-television. A further note deals with the XBOX work around (https://sonos.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2490/session/L2F2LzEvdGltZS8xNDQxMjA4NzE0L3NpZC9JdER6cXR2bQ%3D%3D) and another provides the details for PS4 (https://sonos.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3075/related/1). The Issue Playbar with 2 Play:1s and a Sub is a 5.1 Surround system. However, because the Playbar connects through a Digitial Out/T
I would like to issue my feedback: Oh my gosh the new app, sonos website + forum are very complex! I could easily list a number of fundamental user interface rules that are broken, and many interfaces that are just so complex that it beggars belief. Many folks that I know personally who have purchased on my sonos recommendation are similarly expressing their frustrations with such a massive UI change, to make matters worse, without warning. Has anyone bought the Flexson stands? They seem to be higher quality than Sanus from what I can tell. https://www.flexson.com/by-sonos-product/sonos-one/flexson-floor-stand-for-sonos-one-pair
I’m wanting to know what the best set up with Sonos would be. We’re going to have a gym an reception area and would like to be playing two different music. The gym area is about 100m^2 with over 12’ ceilings. The reception area is about 5m^2. What would you suggest? Also we’re in Qatar so our power outlet is 220v. Is that an issue for Sonos products? Would 4 Play 5’s in the gym and 1-2 play 3’s in reception be a good setup? Do we need anything else to link multiple play 5’s in the gym? What about a subwoofer for the gym Area? Any other products? We would be streaming Spotify or the coaches would playing music from their phones. Well also have a computer in the gym connect to display TVs that is capable of playing music. Please and thank you for your suggestions.
Hi, We are planning on having our patio done, and currently I own a Connect Amp that is not connected to anything. I wanted to place some speakers and wanted some suggestions on where and how I should place them. This is a 3d image of what we are getting, so whats everyone's thoughts? I was thinking about the GS3s, but have not purchased anything yet. Also, how many speakers will I need to get music in the patio/deck.
Hello, Brand new user here. Just bought a Connect and a One and so far I'm impressed with the overall experience of setup. The Sonos ONE sounds amazing on its own. However, I'm less impressed with the sound I'm getting from my Connect + Onkyo Receiver + B&W S3 speakers. It sounds very flat and very little bass when playing music through the Connect. Previously I was playing music w/ Pandora via Apple TV connected directly to the receiver and the sound was great. When playing through Sonos app + Connect, sound isn't nearly as "rich" I've connected the Connect via an optical cable going from the Connect to the Optical "IN" on the Onkyo. Is there something else I should be doing to ensure I'm getting the best sound I can from these speakers? Thanks!
I have recently got google home mini(nice product by the way). I wanted to know is there any way that I can connect my play 5 gen 2 with it. I know there is no audio output port in mini and some of the discussions suggest that chromecast audio would be required to achieve the same. Is there any other option to do so?
I have a question regarding having a sound bar in a Large room w/ high ceilings? Should I use a sound bar or have the room wired for traditional surround sound?
The white indicator light won't turn off on the play 1 in the master bedroom. I have tried different controllers and they are all set to off. Please help.
I’ve been listening to music with the tv on in the background. Without prompting, the Sonos will change to TV. Is this the TV prompting the change? Why does this happen?
Any Sonos coders/ app developers on this community?
Does anyone know how or if we can return to an earlier version of the controller app? This is an older kindle but still works and it's the most convenient way for me to use my Sonos. Worked fine until Friday.
I'm not a current SONOS customer, so I'm trying to get the answer to the following: I understand that the SONOS Connect is used to feed SONOS audio sources to an existing amplifier/receiver system. What options are there, however, to make available the output from an existing amplifier/receiver to a SONOS network? The scenario is as follows: Imagine I have a (legacy) amplifier/receiver hooked up to a reel-to-reel player, tape deck, turntable, CD player, radio... What options are there to pass through all these sources to a SONOS network using the SONOS Connect through my amplifier/receiver? The way I understand it, the SONOS Connect is currently only able to accommodate one source at a time via the analog Line-In connectors. However, I don't want to have to switch connections every time I want to play music from a different source. Can I connect my amplifier to the SONOS Connect to be able to play all sources connected to the amplifier and can I, likewise, use the SONOS Connect t
Hi There Cisco network, goes to a mini switch in room. As soon as I plug in a Sonos Bridge or Play 3 speaker the mini switch crashes and nothing thats on it can see the network. I have swapped the mini switch. I can not swap the main Cisco unit. I have to reboot the mini switch and remove the sonos device to restore normality. Please advise
Completely installed sound bar and 2 play 1 speakers (right and left) but the play 1 sound fades in and out during movie and music. Sounds like a fading radio station. Is there a download or any quick fix?
SONOS is a great system but I can't believe they has not developed an App to Apple Watch. I would like SONOS listen all people are happy with their products but demand more from them. In this case, an App to control the system from the iWatch. Please leave your comment and add you to this request
