Hello,I Have a PlayBase in my Current Home Theater system, I want to upgrade to Arc,i can see in my sonos account tat i can upgrade for 15%.. i dont understand the concept.if i want to buy the Arc, Sonos will take my Playbase only for 15% from the total cost of Arc?
I recently purchased two Sonos 5 Speakers and a Sonos Sub 3, which I use to listen to classical music from my own library as well as streaming from Primephonic and Idagio. My living room is 25’ x 15’, with 9.5’-10’ ceiling. It opens on to a large kitchen/dining room on one end and the entrance hall on the other. I’ve been using this system to create a realistic stereo sound, placing them on either side of the 15’ wall in mono mode. The music sounds quite good (though maybe not as good as I recall my old 1995 Bose wired home theater system to have sounded). It doesn’t quite do for the spoken word though (which isn’t crisp enough), and so not very suitable for streaming the French poetry CDs I’ve uploaded to iTunes.I now decided to add a TV to my living room, which I’d place over my fireplace that’s on one of the 25’ walls. I was planning to use a Sonos Arc under it for the sound. I’m told that using the Sonos 5 speakers that I have as rear speakers would be overkill so I’ll probably p
Hey there, hoping someone can help me out with this question. I have two Sonos groups in my house, one stereo pair of Ones (right and left), and another surround group (Beam + two surround Ones - R and L + sub). Anyone know if there is a convention as to which Sonos speaker should/does become the group coordinator (for example, when both the stereo pair and surround groups are grouped together into one overall group)? It seems most likely that in the case of the surround group, the Beam would become the coordinator (though I can’t find any documentation to confirm this). The case of the stereo pair is less intuitive though - which one becomes coordinator, the left or the right? Is it randomly determined, determined based on alphabetical/numerical order of the device UDN, or always the R or L by default? Thanks in advance!
Doubtless a much targeted query.. recommended in store to purchase a one SL to create another stereo set in the house, using a play 1 I already have. seems this is not possible? Can anyone confirm? many thanks
I have a Beam and 4 Sonos one, two of them are surround speakers for my TV. And these two are not working properly. Not only that they are mostly so loud that i cannot hear the spoken dialogues (tried the speech enhancement and night mode) they also sometimes do not play music, when all speakers connect to ie spotify. Also most of the time the white LED is flashing, though i toggled LED status and touch controls off. I unplug them all the time, power it on and off, reset, remove them as surround speakers, add them again. The problems stay. Funny thing is that the other two speakers in the same room that i do not use as normal speakers work without problems. No flashing LED, no disappearing sound. Diagnostic code is 1029968204 thanks and regardsBen

Hey, I have an exisitng non sonos sytem (turntable, amp, powered speakers). I have a sonso sub I would love to add to the system. Can i do this using the Port, or do I need to get the Amp? Shame to buy another amp just to add the Sub, when my current Amoplifier is amazing. Any way around this?
I’m in the process of moving to a new broadband provider and so have two WiFi networks in my house.3 of my Sonos devices are on the new network (after I changed the Ethernet connection to one of the devices to the new network). But one stands alone on the old network. As i couldn’t choose the WiFi network (only the old network was listed in settings network and if I connect an Ethernet cable per support instructions it doesn’t let me change networks) So I reset the device, and with my phone on the new network I added the Sonos. For one album playing the device was on the new network. When I went to choose the next album the device (room) had disappeared from the list of rooms and durecenough when I switch my phone back to the old network, the device is connected back there again.how can I get it to forget the old network and stay on the new one?
When watching movies I find the sound a lot louder from the right than the left. This is the same on Netflix/Plex/Disney+ with DD5.1+ or Atmos sources. The right side is about 3ft to the wall whereas the left is 6ft. Although with the Beam I noticed no difference.I assumed Trueplay would fix this but it doesn’t seem to do anything.I can’t find any balance options in the app - Do I have any other options?
What is it with you guys? Outside of your speakers, you can’t seem to do anything right. Even your cookie notice doesn’t work the way it says. The verbiage says IF you accept then… but there’s no way not to accept. There’s no law that says I have to have them and I already paid exorbitantly for your hardware. I don’t want your damn cookies! i don’t want you in my life. I just want plumbing that controls the speakers Next: why can’t I just delete everything and start over? Are you so arrogant you believe you can’t get it wrong? Or do you just not care? Next: why can’t I get out of your stupid useless beta program without having to get your engineer on the phone only during business hours when I’m supposed to be working?? Your beta testing is nothing more than more dumb decisions on your part to remove us from being able to control these inexplicably expensive speakers the way we want to and to give you more control to force your selfish inane decisions on us. How is it that you th
Good day!I need a solution for my situation. I have quite long living/dining room with TV LG C9, which is located in the living part, but is turnable to the side so you can watch it as well from the dining side of the room. I’m watching it 50/50 from from living and dining, but when I’m in dining part I can not hear well the TV. I tried first to solve it just by adding Bluetooth speaker to the dining part, but my TV does not support simultaneous output to external speaker and own internal speakers. At this point I came to Sonos and thought that I have a solution - I purchased ARC+Sub for TV in living part and Move for the dining part of the room. I thought that they will be paired, so I will have good sound from TV through ARC+Sub in the living part and the same sound through Move in the dining part of the room. But it appears that this setup can not be paired for TV sound. I can pair it manually to play the music and it plays well in all parts of the room, but not the TV sound. So it
If I have 2 Sonos moves in stero pair via Wifi in one room will other speakers still play sound too in other rooms? also if I use my beam for a tv sound bar I can currently also connect one Sonos move to the tv sound also- is it possible to have the 2 moves in stereo mode if playing through the beams tv audio?
I have five Sonos Play:1's, a Port and a Boost. I recently bought a Sonos Move, but this was not compatible with my Play:1 resulting in my system getting meat up. Now I'm thinking nog upgrading my Sonos Play:1's to Sonos One Gen 2 in phases. Is the Sonos Play:1 compatible with the Sonos One Gen 2 under the S2 app?
Hi,In terms of sound quality, would it be better to used Fixed or Variable output from my Connect to my amp (using RCA cable connection). I wonder if controlling volume via the Sonos app (I.e. Variable output) has a detrimental effect on SQ, particularly at low volume levels? Thanks
Hi,I got the new iPad Air 4 and was dismayed to learn that Trueplay is not supported on it yet. Additionally, the web site makes no mention of it being planned for future support: https://support.sonos.com/s/article/3222?language=en_USVery disappointed to see this. The fact that owners of Sonos products are unable to get the best possible audio quality without an Apple device is already pretty bad, but the large backlog of older devices still not supported and complete lack of mention of new devices is not acceptable. Can someone from Sonos please reply and assure us that this device support is coming promptly? I would appreciate an ETA.Thanks!
I have upgraded my Play 3 units to Move units. The move units haven’t arrived yet but my pay 3 units are now dead. why?
Have Sonos Beam. Need an additional speaker to place near my Dad who has hearing issues. -Just like the Beam, need it to automatically come on when the TV is turned on -Need it to stay connected to the TV and Beam (he will NOT know how to reconnect or reset, etc)-If it’s volume can be adjusted independently of the TV/Beam when needed, that would be a plus but not a must-have. will an Alexa, echo, Google, etc work or must it be a Sonos? Thanks in advance for you feedback
👋 Hi Everyone,I am considering replace two Sonos One with an Arc for a couple of reasons. First, I am curious if it will sound better. Second, it would work with my TV.Right now I have two Sonos One (paired in stereo, of course) connected to an Alexa to play music. Separately, I have a cheap soundbar/woofer for my TV. This is in my finished basement. I’d love to merge both sound systems into one, while keeping the Alexa functionality.Thoughts?
Can the software be updated to allow a 5.1.4 set up? This would simply mean allowing the addition of two Sonos architectural ceiling speakers (placed towards the rear) to a Sonos Arc surround setup (adding rear atmos). Doesn’t seem like that’d pose a huge technical challenge for Sonos—or am I wrong?
I’ve used this Sonos speaker previously with the Android app but now I’m unable to connect to it unless I enable location services. Could anyone help explain why? This used to work great but I never had to use this before. Is this new and I don’t remember enabling this before or did the app used to work without this?
Hi, I’ve just changed from 2 x Play 1’s to Play 3’s with a sound bar. I’ve paired them to act as a pair and connected to the sound bar. The sound at works fine but there no audio coming out the play 3’s. They all work fine when playing music from Spotify as a complete system but nothing when connected to the TV audio. Any ideas? As I say this was all working fine with the play 1’s.
I'm hoping to get into the Sonos ecosystem and can't seem to find much than conflicting or years old information. I want to set up Sonos 5.1 (Arc/Beam) but use the surround satellites as side surround or at least high surround.Reason is.... Hoping to use Amp/Connect as rear to hook up existing dumb speakers as rear surround at ear level. I can't run wires to sides and want to clean up rear wires running under rug and instead have a wireless device in back Is it possible that Sonos can send rear surround signal to the Amp (left/right wired rear) and then use Sonos Ones as side surround? Any help would be appreciated
I was so excited to get my Sonos Arc up and running only to realize that this soundbar has issues with sound sync. Unfortunately they’re saying it’s something that can happen with LG OLED TV’s. I wish I knew this before I bought it. My cheap Vizio sound bar had no such issues.
I see that SR2 is not compatible with the CR100.What are my options? Jim Sheehan
Gone fron this house for about 8 months due to Corona. Now back, updated all my devices, and my phonen to S1. Now, the Browse funtion won’t offer me music from my phone. This 95% of what I listen to.
