Hi all. I accidently chose to upgrade one of my play:1’s. Does this affect anything in anyway? Can I still update it and use it?
Looking for some advice with my current set up. i currently have the system setup in my living room which is about 8m x 5m. System consists of beam, sub and two play5 gen2. I listen to music a lot through the system using the sonos app as well. Just recently discovered that turning the play 5s verticle makes them into a stereo set so now running them like that. Sounds great but not sure if its the best i can do.not sure if its good practice to play music through beam and the play 5s togetherany advice appreciated
I’m surprised there isn’t support for m4b. Seems like something that could be implemented. Disappointed that it’s not as now I have to use a different app for my audiobooks. So much for being able to control the system through one app.
Hi,Currently I have 1 x Sonos Play 1 speaker but might be looking to add to that in other rooms.I also have an old CD / Cassette / Radio stereo which is on it’s last legs. Can anyone please tell me if any of the Sonos speakers / products have a BUILT-IN CD player?I don't want to buy loads of kit to play my CDs and if Sonos can’t provide a single bit of equipment I will probably buy something else. I also want it to be as small as possible to fit on a window sill!Any advice gratefully received. Thanks you.
https://support.sonos.com/s/article/4932?language=en_US Why doesn't this not working for me?I switched to the new app (S2) while in the old app I could adjust the volume of the rear speakers. Now it is not responding.. Grts Steven
Can you group Sonos Ones in stereo with Sonos Beam Sound bar?
Hello I just purchased a Sonos Beam and I am having a hard time getting it to work with my Samsung Frame TV. I used my own HDMI cable as the one provided wasnt long enough to fish through the wall to hide. So i have the hdmi cable plugged into the soundbar and into the HDMI ARC port on the connect box. But on the app, it says that no HDMI ARC is detected. I tried unplugging and plugging both the Sonos Beam and my TV and it still wont work. Whats weird is that if i play around with the volume on the app, the sound will play on the beam but will cut out after a few seconds and wont come on until I play with the volume again. Is there a work around or a trick to make this work? I feel like its just not compatible and may have to return the beam but it just sucks cus of all the hard work I did to fish the cables through the walls. Please help! Thanks!!
In my SONOS favorites I have a bunch of streaming radio stations from 7 or 8 years ago. I can’t find a way to directly add streaming URLs anymore. Do I have to use Tunein radio or is there some other way to do this?
Hello, I’m looking for a speaker just to spread out the sound of the music played through Mac or Smartphone through the Blootooth technology. Is it possible by the One or Move speakers or do they required a sound bar to connect?I don’t have a Wi-Fi connection at home, I use the phone hotspot to connect my Mac and I don’t have any other Sonos product in this moment. So the idea is to buy a free-standing product in order to listen to the YT / iTunes / Amazon music played through my Mac with a beautiful sound. Thanks a lot!
Hello, My Sonos Arc is stuttering each time that i take the TV (Samsung the Frame 2019) out of its Standby ( Art Mode). Every time that this happens i need to go to the settings and cycle atmos compatability on/off then it works.Do you maybe have solution for this problem ? I did submit a sonos diagnostics report my report number is 1745805740 Thanks.C.
My home has built in home-theater wiring already installed. Is it possible to power a Sonos SL using the pre-existing in-wall speaker wiring? This would enable me to mount the speaker on the wall without a power outlet close-by.
Good day everyone, I’ve seen a lot of (digital) ink spilled about the HDFury Arcana to get the most out of our soundbars. I’m wondering if there are any alternative products, for us humble souls who don’t necessarily need the full Atmos support, but still want to move away from the SPDIF dongle. Many thanks!
Hi, I have a complicated Sonos setup involving a Playbar, a Beam, two Play 1s, a Play 3 and a Symfonisk lamp, all in different rooms of the house. The Playbar and Beam are at opposite ends of the house wired by ethernet cable into an ethernet switch that go to the same router at the front of the house (we only have one router, though do have a WiFi booster at the back of the house kicking out a different SSID). I’ll paste the system details below. But basically I want to be able to delete the Wifi settings from the Sonos controller so that it forces all the Sonos devices to use Sonosnet - I’m having problems with the Play 1 which is in the bedroom (the WM=1 device below). More than 50% of the times I try to do anything with it I get an error message - either ‘cannot connect’ or the ‘cannot add to queue’ messages. There’s no reason why it shouldn’t be using Sonosnet (the wired Beam is in the room directly below) so I think there must be a conflict somewhere. The Play 3 in the kitchen is
We have tried the power cord on other sonos products and it works fine. I have also tried the power cable from one of my other known good sonos play units and there’s no change. We see no lights or other response indicative of power whatsoever. I believe there is something broken (fuse? diode?) in the power delivery system. Can we open a ticket?
I currently have two non-sonos in-ceiling speakers above my TV that are wired into a utility closet no where near the TV. My TV is hardwired into the same closet with Coax and Cat5e but no HDMI or anything else. I was told previously that if I get a Sonos Connect Amp in the closet and connect the two speakers and then get a Sonos Beam to connect to the TV that I could then sync the Connect and Beam together and control the Connect from the Beam. Is that correct? Is there a cheaper way to solve this with non-sonos products(I know this is probably not the right place to ask this :/). It seems like a relatively simple problem to solve and I definitely don’t need anything fancy, just looking for functionality at this point but I don’t have much audio knowledge to know how to approach the issue. Thank you!
I recently bought a beam. It is my sixth product from Sonos. When I added it to my TV where are used to have the play bar. Everything works fine except for the beam is drastically lower with the TV than the music. When I switch to the music I the beam is blaring loud and much louder than all the other Sonos devices. The same television worked fine with the play bar. The beam has much different volume discrepancies for some reason. Does it have something to do with the infrared adapter? I’ve been trying to find a way to boost the volume from the TV. But so far no luck. When I watch the TV the volume on the beam is about way up to 50%. As opposed to when I listen to music I usually have the volume at about 25%. It’s a 5 year old Vizio TV and does not have an ARC outlet. Does anybody know of any way to get the volumes more even between the TV and the music?
Bonjour, depuis quelques heures l’appli affiche en haut: “spotify est totalement en panne” Depuis ce matin, j’avais des coupures et cela disfonctionnait.Alors que sonos radio fonctionne bien.
Hi guys, I was wondering if I could get some help please? I have a 16 x 13 living room currently with a 50inch tv and beam. I would like to add an upgrade to kill 2 birds with one stone. Want to get a 5.x surround and occasionally use the turntable with Sonos. I know I have a couple options. Getting a couple of Ones and add Connect or Port (a bit expensive) Getting a couple of 5s and plug in turntable directly to one of the 5s. Are the 5s a bit of an overkill for the size of the room? I know that line in is disabled when 5s in surround group? I’d be using turntable only occasionally so does it take long to undo surround and have 5s play as a stereo for turntable? Is there any other alternative option for me? Which option would you choose or maybe have a similar set up? Thank you for your help, Jakub
My Sonos music library is my iMac music library (mostly my own CDs I've ripped and music I've purchased and downloaded from iTunes store). When I add artists or albums to my iMac music library, my Sonos library updates next time I click ‘Update Music Library’. So far so good. But why can't it do the reverse? When I delete artists from my Imac music library they don't delete from my Sonos music library. How is this even possible? and how can I persuade my Sonos system to delete the tracks and artists I’ve already deleted from my iMac?
What is the best TV for Sonos Arc? I wanted to buy a Samsung 75” The Frame 2020.I was reading Sonos doesn’t work with any of the latest Samsung TVs through eArc and Samsung and Sonos are working on a fix (its been over two months and all news has gone silent). Is there a list of TVs that have actually been tested and known to work? Ref: https://en.community.sonos.com/home-theater-228993/sonos-arc-samsung-frame-tv-earc-not-working-6842523
I have an 65" LG OLED CX that I want to pair with a Sonos arc and sub, and I was contemplating getting the in ceiling set for the left and right rears. The question is if I do get the amp and the in ceiling speakers do I have to plug the HDMI eARC into the arc or the amp or do I need to plug both in? Cheers
Need to find a system that can support music streaming from iPhone, our turntable + TV. Any suggestions?
I’ve moved house and have a new router. My iPad and iPhone can’t find my Sonos one via WiFi or when connected via Ethernet. I’ve tried everything on the Sonos website, rebooting etc and I’m completely out of ideas now. Can anyone help please
I have a play 5 gen 1 that bought a while back. The problem is that it wont turn on, which means that i cant reset it to factory settings. Is it still possible for me to use the trade up on this device even if its still connected to the sellers account?
I have just received by beam and set it up on my existing network. when it came to connecting the TV I tried the HDMI(Arc) connection on the Samsung One Connect Box. I checked that Samsung Anynet was on. The app said no signal was received. so I reverted to the optical input and it worked well. later reading about the hdmi connection I noted that others had said other connections could block it. I removed all other hdmi cables, rebooted both tv and beam and set it up again. the arc refused to connect to HDMI again but then the speaker started working. As soon as I added another HDMI it lost the connection. so I tried to go back to optical. But not it says that it can not detect the adaptor. so now I can’t connect to HDMI or optical and nothing seems to work. please can anyone help!? Andrew
