I’ve seen a lot of (digital) ink spilled about the HDFury Arcana to get the most out of our soundbars. I’m wondering if there are any alternative products, for us humble souls who don’t necessarily need the full Atmos support, but still want to move away from the SPDIF dongle.

Seems you have two questions. However, it would help to know what brand and model are your projector and the old TV. Also , what connections are available to you on each. The second request saves the community time spent researching your projector and TV.
