My family installed Sonos in a condominium complex that provides high speed Wi-Fi. The signal is strong enough to support Sonos, keep the music streaming (for the most part) but when we want to change the volume or the song we often have to reconnect our phones through the network and then to the Sonos (first world problems I know). Would a Sonos boost or any other product (remote or something I’m overlooking) help this issue? I am essentially looking for something to stay connected to my network so I can control the app?
hello I'm not sure where to put the question if I create a new post. I want to create a sound at home either 7.1 or dolby atmos, I don't know much about the subject. now i have 1 beam and 2 sonos one. My idea is to install 2 five, what I don't understand is what kind of configuration is left 7.0 or still 5.0 or this setting does not work as surround sound Thanks.
I’m losing my mind over here :)I have an Arc + Sub (gen 3) + pair of One SLs connected to a Sony Bravia 900h TV on the latest firmware with the 2.1 HDMI features. When the TV is set to run at 60hz the sound works fine. When I switch the TV to 120hz my audio drops or I get no sound at all when selecting Atmos output on the Xbox Series X. Switching to Dolby Digital or 5.1 uncompressed works fine. Anyone else out there struggling with the Series X and the Sony 900h? I know Sony is having issues with this particular firmware version but I’d like to rule my Sonos system out as part of the problem.
First I love the set up with the Beam and 2 play 1’s...I see that there is a problem with connecting a set of bluetooth headset. I’m experiencing the same issue with two sets of bluetooth headsets. This is definitely a Sonos issue….why don’t they just issue a software fix? there is no reason the Beam has to control audio all the time….Sonos just fix it.
Hi everyone I have recently purchased a Sonos ARC (works perfect)I have since added a pair of Sonos SL speakers sync’d as a stereo pair and setup True sound with no problem.I can Stream music services with no problems at all, the problem is when I watch the TV and the Surround SL speakers keeps dipping in and out (skipping) which isn’t right.I’ve changed the WI-FI channels ( tried 1 & 11) as Sonos is set on 6 I have 4K HDMI lead connected to a OLED LG through the ARC port.ive tested my WI-FI strength and is a strong signali do also have a Sky router. any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks in advance👍
I’ve recently got a sonos amp for my living room that has 6 in-ceiling speakers at 8 ohm. Can the amp power all three pair of speakers? I know sonos says maximum 4 speakers i parallel, and 6 if it is the sonos architectural. But as I can see those have the same ohm as mine, and the impedance should become the same? Thanks!
While setting up my new Beam - 1st product purchase for me - the set up said that newer Beams would connect to 5G, but this one only connects to 2.4. I’m wondering if I should take this one back and get the implied “new product”. I don’t want to start a new system with old hardware where there is already an upgraded version out.
I need some help please because I have 3 sonos connected (2 play 1 and 1 play 3) and I always hase connection issue with Wifi. Several time by day, i lost the connection with my wifi for a few minutes. I always have the 1001 and 1002 error message. I tried to reconnect my sonos a few time but with no effect. Some help ?

This is the screen I get yet when I tap download nothing happens so I now don't have the S1 APP or the S2! Any ideas why it won't download?
Hi,When I try to add something to the "My Sonos" section on the S1 Android app, I always get a message…Unable to add ”..." to My SonosI tried this with radio stations from TuneIn and Sonos radio as well as albums and songs from Spotify. I cleared the cache and data without success. Anyone else having this issue?I'm on a galaxy s9 plus. Thanks, Stuart
So I’m putting together a sonos surround… I have a pair of ones for my rear and a gen 3 sub. I’m going to buy the arc for my center/fronts. I was wondering if you could setup a surround without having to plug anything into the arc? Can it all work wireless? Down the road if I had a projector would I need audio plugged in or could the Apple TV airplay to the surround? Any information would be helpful.
I got a turntable for christmas, and the first thing i did was set it up to check that everything worked, and it did. I connected it directly to my Sonos Play 5, and it automatically played to the Play 1 i also have. I the disconnected it and placed the turntable where i wanted it, and then moved my Play 5 about 1 meter due to the cable being short. I connected everything, but when i now play from my turntable the Play One keeps falling out like there is a bad connection between the Play 5 and 1. It works just fine if i play from Spotify, so i cant really understand why this is happening since it worked previously. Right now i just have to mute the play 1 speaker as it is impossible to listen to. I also have a Sonos Beam, and the same thing happens there. I have a fairly small living room, and didn’t move the Play 5 far at all, all devices are within 3-4 meters of each other. Any tips to fixing this would be greatly appreciated.
I placed an order on Dec 9th. The site said expecting to start delivery on Dec 18th. This is a Christmas present and I was hoping I can get it before the Christmas day. Send a ticket on Dec 20th and noone call back within 24hours as said in the email. Check the order status again on Dec 21st and still saying backorder. Use the chat and the technician said he can’t help and ask me to call 800-680-2345 opt 4 for any question regarding my order. However, the phone system said no sales agent available and cannot even leave a message. Now Christmas is passed and my order still showing ‘backorder’ as status, I want to cancel it now because is too late already. How can I do that asap?

How to connect Beam to TV with digital audio out (coaxial). Thanks everyone.
Hello, I just got a Sonos Port and connected it successfully to my existing HK 3490 receiver. The last thing i’d like to set up is to power on the receiver automatically when the Port starts transmitting audio. The receiver does not have any 12v trigger input but it does have a Remote IR input. I was hoping (probably against any logic) that connecting the 12v trigger output on the Port to the Remote IR input on the HK would do the trick. No luck. Does anyone have any suggestions on workarounds or gizmos that would do the trick. The only articles i’ve found online are describing the reverse scenario, i.e. triggering a 12v input from an IR signal. The only thing i found that might do the trick is a 12v - 230V Slave Power supply from a French company: https://www.audiophonics.fr/en/power-supply-kits/audiophonics-trigger-12v-230v-slave-power-supply-device-p-10661.html Any thoughts? Thanks
Hello. I will not be able to use the wall mount and am wondering the thread pattern and length of the two mounting screw holes on the Arc.
My set up is a Sony x900H (2020) with eArc sending audio to a Sonos system (Arc + 2 Play Ones + Sub). It is running Android 9.When I stream a movie from Netflix that is designated as Atmos - the Sonos app S2 confirms Atmos in the big TV screen on the Sonos app and also in the System > About My System > Sonos System info: Arc Sound In . When I stream from another source like Disney + the best I can get is Dolby Digital 5.1. Nothing in Disney+ is marked anything other than 5.1. Working with their support chat is a perfectly good way to waste an hour. They blamed, Android, Sony and Sonos for their failure to provide Atmos content. When I stream a movie marked Atmos from a movie app using MX Player Pro as my media player, with the proper Atmos/TrueHD codec, the best I can get is 5.1 or Dolby Digital Plus 2.0. Any thoughts? Tips? Tricks? Magical incantations? to try would be appreciated.
I have a: Yamaha RX-A1000 receiver Technics SL-1200MK3D turntable Sonos Port Sonos One Sonos beam no wired speakers I can’t figure out how to get the turntable to play to my Sonos speakers.Do I need additional cables other than what came with the Port?Is the “digital out” and “12V” required?
I have a large living / dining room area (30 feet long x 20 feet wide x 14 feet high ceiling). I am interested in playing music (no TV). I currently have 1 Play 5 (Gen 1) in the area. Does a decent job. It is sitting in a corner and therefore you get slightly faded sound on the other end of the room. All my other Sonos speakers - in other areas of the house - are fairly recent. I want to upgrade the Play 5 to Sonos Five or something in order to completely untangle away from the old S1 platform and use the new S2 platform fully. What would be a good setup for my large room to replace the Play 5: one Sonos Five or two Sonos One or 2 Sonos One and a sub?Again do not need a TV function. Will appreciate advice from the audiophiles here :)
On Black Friday I placed an order for a subwoofer. I got a notice on 11/28/2020 that it shipped. Today is 12/10/2020 and I still have not received my subwoofer. Right now, I’m on hold waiting for Sonos customer service. This is my second call. The first time I was on hold for 20 minutes and hung up. WTF Sonos?!? You can’t take $600 from someone and offer nothing in return.
We want to add a turntable to our setup but I am unsure what equipment I would need.I have searched the forums but it’s still unclear since either people don’t have the Playbar (it’s older) or there is conflicting information.I have a Playbar hooked up to a Samsung 55KU6300 TV, with 2x Sonos Ones for surround sound. I also have a couple Sonos Play:1 in other rooms.Options:I know I have the option of buying a Sonos 5 and hooking a turntable up to it, but I don’t really have any place to put a Sonos 5 + turntable.Another option is buying an Amp (or would only a Port work?).I don’t think I have any options as far as TV audio input goes as I don’t have anymore audio inputs available (Playbar uses optical).Anymore?
