SONOS SL Surround dips in and out

Hi everyone 

I have recently purchased a Sonos ARC (works perfect)

I have since added a pair of Sonos SL speakers sync’d as a stereo pair and setup True sound with no problem.

I can Stream music services with no problems at all, the problem is when I watch the TV and the Surround SL speakers keeps dipping in and out (skipping) which isn’t right.

I’ve changed the WI-FI channels ( tried 1 & 11) as Sonos is set on 6 

I have 4K HDMI lead connected to a OLED LG through the ARC port.

ive tested my WI-FI strength and is a strong signal

i do also have a Sky router.

 

any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks in advance👍

  1. Are the SLs configured as surrounds for the Arc, or are they a stereo pair as a separate room?
  2. Is the Arc wired to the network? If there’s another wired component, which one?
  3. Have you disabled the ‘WiFi’ in any of the Sonos devices?

You said Sonos was set to channel 6. This means all devices are not connected to the WiFi. 

Help me to help you. 

 

The simplest option would be for you to paste the contents of Settings/System/About My System.

Your ‘surrounds’ are no such thing. You’ve set them up as a pair called ‘SONOS Surround’. 

Go into the Arc’s room settings, hit ‘Add Surrounds’ and set them up properly.

 

Oh, and SonosNet is not in use. It’s greyed out.

They’re still not bonded as surrounds.

They should add okay. They’re the same hardware version.

Unpair them. Reboot them (power off, wait 20+ seconds, power on again). Try to add them again as surrounds.
