Is it possible to use my Sonos 1 as TV audio?
My roam arrives tomorrow and was curious if the roam will be able to stereo pair to a Sonos One I already have in my kitchen ? Using Sonosnet throughout my house.Like the idea of taking my roam on the go when out of the house and use with BT but when home I’d like to drop it back in kitchen to act in stereo pair with my Sonos One If possible - Will I have to repair every time I return home and place the roam back in kitchen on sonosnet ? Thanks for the help
Background: Bought a house with 4 “dumb” ceiling speakers in 4 different rooms. Owners had a Denon receiver, an AudioSource amp and a Russound SS-4.2 4-way speaker selector. Each speaker has 4 wires and also has wall volume dials. The wires are all disconnected. My goal: Stream Sonos (and Spotify) through the 4 speakers and be able to control the volume of each speaker and turn each speaker on and off from my phone.Question: Can I use the Sonos Amp with the Russound SS-4.2 4-way selector? Do I need more than one Amp?Pics: Here’s the front and back of the Russound SS-4.2 4-way selector.
Hiya..I am looking to buy a couple of Roams to use around the house. I was wondering if I would be able to take them away in my motor home and use them straight from my iPhone as a stereo play or would I need to set up some Linda local network? Hoping for the former! Martin
Hi have a roam speaker thinking of getting 2. I understand 2 x roam can be used in Stereo under wifi, and does not work in stereo in bluetooth. Can 2 sonos roams be connected to a single bluetooth streaming? Is it possible to play 2 x sonos roam not in stereo from either a samsung galaxy s7 or iphone 12. Hi - just want to check in so I can be absolutely certain before purchasing. Can a Sub be bonded to a single Play Five or does it have to bond to a stereo pair only? Thanks!
I am traveling the United States. I bought 2 Roam speakers for bluetooth playing. I have no wifi network here. AND I CAN NOT SET UP MY SPEAKERS. There is no support. Boot on chat, phone is offline, no mail answer. Now I have 2 plastic usless boxes for the next 2 month/ I wish this company go straight to hell. No. Really.
I am shocked at how long my return is taking to process. Is this common? Sonos received the item on 5/21 and I have heard nothing. The only reason I know they received it is I kept the tracking number. This seems like a long time to wait. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Can a person listen to his/her music through another Sonos account?
If I have two passive speakers with the sonos AMP (connected with HDMI ARC) on either side of my TV and a pair of Play 3’s in the back for surround. Is there anyway to mute the Play 3’s in the back when listening to music so I get a more regular stereo setup? I really want to have two passive speakers for stereo music listening and then use the same speakers as a part of a 4.0 surround system when watching TV/movies.Is this possible?
I use the latest Sonos S2 controller on a Macbook Pro (Intel 13”, 2020) the latest version of OS X (11.4), and recently noticed that the controller becomes unresponsive when I connect my computer to an external monitor (or disconnect from one). I can then force quit to exit the app, and everything works when I open it again, but another display switch and it often happens again. Anyone else seeing this? Steps:Open Sonos S2 controller, everything works Connect to an external monitor Sonos app may now be in the “Application is not responding” state (but not 100% of the time) Right click on the dock icon to Force Quit App flashes quickly (looks like it becomes responsive for a moment) and exits Open Sonos S2, everything works
I have an Apple TV 4K, and I currently have a Sonos Beam. my LG TV supports eArc, but the TV does not support Dolby Atmos. If I get the Sonos Arc, will the Dolby Atmos sound from the Apple TV pass through the TV, or does the TV need to support Atmos for that to work? I only play video content from the Apple TV, so I’m not going to upgrade the TV.
I have a room that has a lot of background noise from a fan that kicks on and off (that cannot be eliminated). My TV is in the front of the room and I current have a Sonos Beam connected to the TV. The problem is you cannot hear the TV voices in the back of the room without turning the volume way up. The voices get drowned out by the fan. I’m trying to get a setup where I have a soundbar in the front of the room and another speaker in the back of the room both playing the same TV sound. My TV installers, BestBuy, and Walmart all indicated that I could do this by adding a Sonos One and setting it up as stereo. I have tried that and I cannot seem to get the Sonos One to play any of the TV sounds.Has anyone else figured out a solution to this? Is it possible to the bean and one to be in stereo (not surround)? Any recommendations?
Hello!I am trying to figure out how to run the ARC Sound bar and home theater set up completely wirelessly without losing the dolby atmos feature. The current situation is as followsWe just moved and brought our previous home theater components with us. The system consists of a sony vw 285ES projector.. marantz sr7008 av receiver... 110'' screen... KEF Q series 7.1 speakers/subwoofer... blurry player/ xbox/ apple tv... logitech universal remote. The new house has a smaller sheetrock wall/ceiling finished room in its basement with difficult access to run wires in the walls. So I am considering replacing the speakers in this set up with the ARC Sound bar and wireless home theater set up so that I dont have to run the speaker/ HDMI wires (other than one to the projector for video) but can still switch between the different components easily and can place my receiver towards the back of the room near the projector (shorter HDMI and can be hidden much better) but dont want to lose the atmos

Hi there. I am thinking about getting a Sonos Amp to power my KEF Q150 speakers and connect my TV etc to and I just had a couple of questions I am hoping you can help me with.I am wanting to connect my speakers to the Sonos Amp as well as my Pro-Ject Turntable via RCA cable and TV Via ARC.1.Can I use a Logitech Harmony remote to control the Sonos Amp to control volume and change audio source?2.Can I connect an SVS PB-1000 sub to the Sonos Amp?3.Can I add Sonos wireless rear speakers to the Sonos Amp to make it 5.1 surround sound?4.Is it possible to connect a Sonos ARC or Sonos Bar to the Amp to make a 5.1 setup?5.When I use Spotify or Tidal on the Sonos Amp, does it play at the full audio quality bitrate or does it scale it down because like it would do if using Bluetooth to stream the music?6.In a perfect world I would like to have an actual centre speaker for movies and tv shows. I recently installed a Beam and 2 ones as a tv surround system.I already had a Play 3.Have just added Google Assistant for voice control. All works great except I cannot turn my tv on and off with voice control.New Phillips 49 PUS with HDMI ARC port.Assume a setting somewhere but would appreciate advise.Thanks.
We installed our new Sonos arc and connected it with the recommended HDMI arc connection and included cable to a newer Vizio TV (M507-G1) that is up-to-date on firmware. When watching TV the audio drops out, the volume controls from the TV and Roku remotes are sluggish and sporadic, the audio quality is terrible and the video occasionally will cut out. We hard-reset everything, disconnected, reconnected, chatted with Sonos support, worked through all of the recommendations, opened a support ticked, submitted diagnostics, and ended at a roadblock where the customer support agent suggested we have to find another TV to test it with as the only possible solution. That’s not a realistic solution for us. The unit does work fine with streaming music and with the optical cable connection, but obviously this is not ideal or really an acceptable downgrade for a premium product that is named for the connection it is supposed to function with. I read through similar strings of conversation on S
Guys..I’m about to purchase a Connect-Amp with a manufacture date of 2015 Aug. Seller is adamant that i’ts a gen 2 as he has installed the upgrades for S2, however it has a mute button. I’ve read that the mute button is gen 1. Does any one have a gen 2 connect amp with a mute button?
How much heat does the Sonos Amp develop?
Hello, I’m in a bit of a stand still on what to buy. Originally I wanted to get the Sonos out door speakers however the amp is sold out and I need them ASAP. (One of my questions with this is; with the Sonos amp and outdoor speakers, can they all be connected to my complete Sonos wireless home system(ark/ one/ one/ sub)? To be able to play the same music inside and outside at the same time?) second option is getting 2 sonos moves. Now with this, is it worth it? Or should I wait for the amp and outdoor speakers? I also have the same question with this- can I link all the sonos equipment inside and outside to play the same music with the 2 sonos moves? last question I will be putting a tv outside. How can I connect my tv to the sonos outdoor speakers if I do end up going that route? I already found out the Sonos move cannot be connected to a tv.
