Hello, I just did a Beam update and now my Samsung TV remote isn’t able to control the volume, which was working fine before.I resent the Beam, as well as my TV and it still doesn’t work.I called Samsung to double check my audio settings and everything was fine there.Any ideas?Thank you,Aryn
Will there be future support or should I get rid of it?
After not being able to solve the massive sound delay between ps4->lgc9->playbase and the new ps5 not having a optical out to bypass the problem i have one question: Will ps5->C9->sonos arc via earc have zero sound dealy when playing dolby 5.1/atmos? I am willing to pay 800€ again for a system outdated today but i only use it fo gaming so thats crucial for me
I am trying to understand if the idea of using Sonos Outdoor Speakers inside is just ridiculous. I want to put 2 on-wall mounted speakers and a subwoofer in my kitchen, which will be wired to a Sonos Amp. It would be exclusively for playing music, not AV/theater.I had intended to buy 2 Bowers & Wilkins M1 satellite speakers. But they are only rated for 20W – 100W, and the Sonos Amp says “speakers’ power rating should be at least 125W for 8 ohm speakers.”The Sonos Outdoor Speakers would be ideal in terms of size, design, and compatibility. And they would be easily mountable with the FastMount brackets. They’d be the perfect solution for my setup, but I just don’t know if they would be any good indoors. I’ve not been able to find a comparable set of on-wall speakers, and I don't want to put boxy bookshelf speakers on a wall-mount, like the Pinpoint AM-41. Thoughts? Other recommendations? Thanks.
I set up my new Beam with older Hisense TV connecting with the optical adapter. no problem setting up but after a few minutes sound starts to cut out (prob 1). Next when I add 2 play 1 speakers for surround I lose connection to TV (prob 2) and when I try to reconnect it I get "no signal detected" (prob 3). I've reset and reinstalled multiple times with same results. I've replaced every cable and same results. Any ideas?
Hi All,I’m considering getting a sonos soundbar, but have a couple of questions. I currently have an old Yamaha YSP2200 Sound Projector. It’s a reasonable (if old) piece of kit, but it’s just so complex and has so many settings and i’m looking for something simpler. The frustration with it is that it’s really better for a nice perfectly shaped room with a setup against the flat part of the wall in the middle.Therfore I have 2 hopefully simple questions.. It’s a medium sized lounge (certainly not big), but the TV is in the corner. Is the ARCs ATMOS setup a little lost on a lounge format in this way or would the BEAM be good enough. In other words am i diminishing the benefit of the ARC so may as well get the BEAM. it seemed that way with the yamaha. Either way (from what i understand), you still do the trueplay setup. With the yamaha, and it looks like it’s the same here, you set it up for a single seating position. This means the result would vary if you were sitting in differe
I wonder if there is any way to get a play 5 that is put in recovery mode to play again.

Hi All, just want to share my experience with you how frustrated it was to connect my Panasonic Viera TH-L50ET60A with Sonos Beam soundbar. I have HDMI ARC as port 2 in my Panasonic TV, but Sonos app kept saying can’t connect via HDMI ARC to my TV with its original HDMI cable. I had the “Viera Link = On” and “Viera Link set to Home Theatre” everything works on my TV side. At the end, I had to change to a different HDMI cable to replace the one from Sonos and it worked without any issues. Why would Sonos provide a faulty HDMI cable, I cannot expect it for this price. Most people on the internet has experienced the same issue. Hope they can provide a better cable in the future.
My speakers are great but lack bass, can I pair them with the sonos sub? or do I require additional equipment. I guess my question is : do these little speakers work well with the sub or just not enough? thank you
Announcement of the new Sonos external speakers (made by Sonance for Sonos to be sold as a Sonos branded product) has the hidden tidbit that with this setup Truplay will work to tune the speakers attached to the Amp. There is mention of automatically detecting the signature of the Sonos-specific Sonance speakers. This sounds like a DRM to purposely prevent Truplay from working with any other 3rd party speakers connected to the AMP - including standard Sonance speakers already sold and being sold. Is there any technical reason or is this a marketing ploy to push the new Sonos/Sonance speakers as "better" for Sonos Amp? I think allowing Truplay with any speakers attached to the Amp would be more customer friendly. All existing AVR receivers with sound correction work with any attached speaker since most AVR makers don't make any speakers they obviously assume the customer will be choosing their own brand of speakers.
With various updates, the reliability of my Sonos system is getting worse and worse. It honestly works about one time in three. Perpetual error messages, unable, can’t, won’t, error occurred, no music playing, at really inopportune times. such a frustrating music listening experience. When it works it’s great, okay, good sound and it’s worthwhile. But just a constant reliability headache. I’ll go back to a simple radio or MP3 player in each room.
I have a pair of gen 2 Sonos Play 5 configured for stereo and hardwired into my television. Since the recent update, the sound randomly stops. The moment I open the app on my phone, the sound returns. I do nothing with the app. This happens several times an hour.
Hi all , I need help setting up this system to get full atmos sound OPTOMA p2 + AppleTV + Arc + Amp and in wall
Hello, I've been a Sonos user for more than 6 years. I've recently bought a brand new ARC. I could set it up when I bought it, it was working fine connected to my Wi-Fi but 10 days ago it started disconnecting from the Wi-Fi. I have in the same Wi-Fi network 4 other sonos devices working without any issues. When I connect ARC to the router with ethernet cable it works fine. I rebooted all the other Sonos devices, Reset the ARC to factory reset and configured it again, I read all the articles related but I still have the Isse. Please help!!Suddenly is like ARC is not compatible with the other devices anymore through the wi-fi Diagnostic number is: 722602688 Also I’m unable to submit a ticket to the Sonos support, https://support.sonos.com/s/?language=en_US#contact is not showing any form / submit block..?
Hi, I bought a Beam about 2 months ago, linked to my Sony KDL-32W705C (up to date software), through HDMI Arc. Into the TV I have Roku, Virgin Tivo V6 & PS3 for Blu-Ray, all connected via HDMI.A couple of days ago I bought 2 Symfonisk bookshelf speakers, and they linked up no problem.Today, I have been playing around trying to get Dolby Digital sorted, but no joy. I have set all options to what seem to be the correct ones, but no joy. When watching through any of the above devices, all that shows as being inputted to the Beam is PCM Stereo 2.0, never DD.After reading many, many similar threads, adjusting all the settings, I tried watching something on the TV itself, not an attached device, and I was getting DD2.0.This is very frustrating, and I sincerely want to get it sorted. I’d appreciate any help very much, thank you!
Hi all, Hoping to get a little bit of feedback about a couple things related to surrounds. I have a Beam and Sub in my living room and I am thinking about adding some Ones as surround speakers. However, I’m wondering if its worth it if I can’t place them in an ideal location. My living room is about 14 x 16 feet or so. I would likely have to place the surround speakers in the spots marked in the picture. I welcome any insight!
Hi there , I wonder if someone can help with the atmos through Apple TV or other sources ,when I play directly from my tv eg. every time I search for a radio station and click on “stations” to refine the search, the app crashes. I’ve cleared the cache, I’ve re-installed the app and it hasn’t resolved it.I’m using the S1 app, a Samsung note 10.
Hey all!We purchased in home 6 years ago with an awesome theater set up with built in ceiling and wall speakers. It came with a 110” Screen Innovations Zero Edge Pro Fixed projector screen with fancy LEDs around the edge and a really nice Epson 3D projector.Fast forward 6 years and we have moved cross county and brought the screen and Epson projector with us with the hopes of installing it at our new house. However, we don’t want to put holes in the ceiling and walls and run wiring for speakers, so we decided to go with a Sonos Arc, Sub, and a pair of One SL speakers. After much research, we came to the conclusion the the Arc would just not work with the Epson projector, and we also didn’t really want to put a hole in the ceiling and run wires to the projector anyway. We were planning selling the projector and screen and buy a large TV with eArc, BUT my husband discovered the Optoma CinemaX P2 Ultra Short Throw projector and HDFury Arcana HDMI converter yesterday. We believe this should
HiIs the HDMI cable supplied with the Beam the same as the one supplied with the Arc ?ie 2.1 Have upgraded and would save some hassle changing as cables hidden. Thanks
Hi all.Just wondering if anyone else has experienced problems having gone from Google play music to You tube premium. Our CR200 worked fine for Google but doesn’t find anything on You tube at all. Our fairly old iPad (version 4 I think) seems to find it without any problems. We are using all old components and control system. So if You tube is no longer an option do you know if Spotify premium still works on the CR200. It’s still by far the most intuitive and user friendly controller available. Thanks.
Hi,Today a new update was sent over to my Sonos arc bar, there is no information on what this update did to the bar.Can anyone please explain if anything has been improved in this update? Thanks
Two of my Sonos One speakers are functioning as the two rear speakers in the home cinema setting. Now I am looking for a 100% wired setup (no wireless communication at all). However, although I have checked the option “no wifi” in the app for both the Arc and the surround speakers, and I have an ethernet connection for all speakers in place, there is still a wireless connection between the arc and the surround speakers. If I disconnect the ethernet cables from the rear speakers, their is still surround sound coming out of the speakers. I guess it is through SonosNet.Is it possible to remove SonosNet and create a 100% wired setting between Arc and Surround speakers? Thanks a lotPeter-Netherlands-
